Peterson's Patch, LLC
Your wedding flowers should do more than decorate a room. They should make you feel something long after the day is over. I'm Tara, the grower and designer behind Peterson's Patch, a flower farm and wedding studio in Sterling, Connecticut. My style is nature-inspired and a little moody: calm with a touch of drama, like an English garden by the sea. The most beautiful weddings begin with trust. Hand me your vision and I'll guide you through every decision, so that when you see your flowers for the first time, you feel peace, joy, and complete confidence. Every couple and every kind of love is welcome here. I'd love to hear about your day.
Much of what I design with is grown in my own fields in Sterling, and the rest comes from growers I trust, so every stem is chosen with purpose rather than pulled from a wholesale list. Before flowers, I spent twenty years as a nurse, and I still show up for couples the same way: steady, calm, and paying attention. I've designed weddings at venues across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, including Saltwater Farm Vineyard, the Pond House Cafe, Falls Creek Farm, and Okay Island. I offer full-service design with candle packages, plus à la carte florals for intimate weddings.

Beautiful seasonal flowers
Peterson's Patch, LLC made our October wedding feel so special. Tara was friendly and responsive throughout the whole process, and she really listened to what we wanted. When she learned I was growing marigolds for garlands, she grew extra big beautiful ones just for us. We loved that all the flowers were in season and native to the area—they felt fresh and vibrant in a way that mattered to us. The quality of her work was top-notch and the value was incredible. We're so grateful to Tara for helping make our day exactly what we imagined.

Tara did such a beautiful job on our wedding florals - I seriously can't recommend her enough! She was so great to work with from start to finish.
