Founded in 2014, Studio Herbage Florist is a veteran-owned design studio led by accredited floral designer James Dempsey, AIFD, CFD. Our work combines refined craftsmanship with a modern, sophisticated aesthetic—creating highly customized botanical art that reflects each couple’s story. Every design is shaped through a collaborative process of discovery, guided by intention, artistry, and elevated attention to detail.

We guide couples through an intentional floral design process, beginning with a conversation about vision, setting, and atmosphere before discussing specific pieces. Our work focuses on shaping the experience of the day, treating flowers as part of the event’s design rather than simply individual decorative items. Full-service weddings include delivery, installation, and our signature White Glove Delivery Service. Wedding floral design begins at $3,500, with most couples investing $5,000–$10,000+.     A great choice

    We have worked with studio herbage many times and it has been a great experience every time. James is so talented, artistic, and knowledgeable. All of our couples have been extremely happy with the flowers that he provides. James and his team are very personable to talk to and are always extremely professional. We always recommend studio herbage to all of our coupons that choose our venue and we trust them 100 percent to make the perfect arrangements, bouquets, garlands, and arbor decorations. There garlands are like no one else’s that we have seen. Lush, beautiful, and fresh!

    We couldn’t be happier with our flowers. I reached out about getting bouquets for an elopement ceremony for a family member. I shared one inspiration photo with James, and he was able to identify everything used in that particular bouquet. He offered suggestions to recreate this look in a feasible, cost-effective way with flowers that would thrive on a long, July day. The professionalism and attention to detail is unmatched.

Consultations last approximately 1 hour but can take up to 2 for larger weddings. Please come prepared with details about your wedding like your budget and style, as well as any inspiration you have for your wedding flowers. This can include images of your venue, photos of your wedding attire, fabric swatches, your color palette, photos from social media, and more. The more information and ideas you provide, the better we can assist you. Also, if you plan on using your own containers, please bring them so we can evaluate and give you an accurate quote based on their size.
It’s never too early to get in touch about your wedding, but we recommend having a few details figured out before you do. For example: Have you selected the location for your ceremony and/or reception? What’s your wedding style? Do you know how many guests you’ll be expecting? Typically, our couples reach out around 6 to 8 months before their big day.
Yes! We offer a variety of rentals for an additional cost from aisle runners to candelabras, arches, candles, pedestals and more. Get in touch to see our full list.
Yes, we offer breakdown services along with delivery, set up, and flower transfer from the ceremony to the reception. We also offer flower up-cycling (redesign and delivery to nursing homes, hospitals, facility of your choice) for an additional fee.
