hello, we're jarrod and taylor. we originate from florida and now live in new york city documenting love stories across the US and beyond. our journey began 8 years ago when we realized that wedding photography was the most fulfilling thing to us. we like to describe our approach as documentary with an editorial flare. about 80% of the day we are capturing your day as it naturally unfolds in a beautiful way. the other 20% we love to prompt you to create romantic images that have intention and feeling. we love to tell you story as authentically as we can.

    If we could give Jarrod and Taylor a million stars, we absolutely would. From the very beginning, we knew we were in incredible hands. They have such a creative eye, and their style is truly unique. We are completely obsessed with our wedding photos and video, but what made the experience even more special was how much we genuinely loved working with them. They are the kind of photographers and videographers who will literally put their bodies on the line to get the best shot — and somehow make it look effortless and artistic every time. Taylor even fixed my wedding veil as I was walking down the aisle (while my wedding planner had her back to me!). That moment perfectly captures who they are: incredibly talented, attentive, and always looking out for you. But honestly, our favorite thing about Jarrod and Taylor was that they were so much more than our photographers and videographers — they were amazing companions throughout one of the most emotional and important days of our lives. I was dealing with some difficult family drama on our wedding day, and before our first look, Jarrod was standing beside me and said exactly what I needed to hear. His kindness and support in that moment meant more to me than he probably realized. Then, right before I walked down the aisle, Taylor was by my side and said the most perfect thing at exactly the right time. Those moments have stayed with me just as much as the beautiful images they captured. They have an incredible ability to make you feel comfortable, cared for, and completely seen — all while creating art that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. We are beyond grateful that Jarrod and Taylor were there to capture our wedding day. We cannot recommend them highly enough. If you're looking for the absolute best wedding photographers and videographers, look no further. Truly, truly the best.

    Photography & Videography Perfection

    The fact of the matter is life is made up of fleeting moments turned memories. At some point, one of those moments just may happen to be something that can be categorized as an elopement or wedding. Similar to any event, planning a wedding requires planning and coordinating a team to help bring your vision to life. When enlisting this team it is important to consider not only execution but also capturing a memory you will cherish for a lifetime. Is it even possible to properly commemorate a wedding? Let alone your own wedding? The answer is yes! And that answer is The Narrative Weddings. The Narrative Weddings is husband and wife duo - Jarrod and Taylor. It is their technical expertise paired with their ability to document the moment unfolding that allows them to paint a story you can feel. A mix of formal portraits and candid photos combine perfectly to create a collection of passing moments turned memories that last a lifetime. Highlighting both loved ones present and the progression of the day. Our wedding photos represent every moment and person that led to this point, as well as signifies the beginning of our next chapter. It does not end with the photos - Jarrod and Taylor create a highlight video that allows us to look back on the day that represents our future and honors the foundation we built. Besides being extremely great at their job, they are incredible human beings and we were truly so lucky they were able to be apart of our wedding.

    Dream Duo

    Had the pleasure of working with Jarrod and Taylor on March 7th, 2026. As a Wedding Planner and Coordinator, they were lovely to work with. Super collaborative photographers, and their communication throughout the planning process was great. On the actual day, they were calm and followed the timeline to a T. They remained flexible amid unforeseen changes throughout the night, and my couple was super happy. Can't wait to work with them again.

    THE BEST! 10000% recommend!!

    We found The Narrative on Instagram a few months before getting engaged, and the second we got engaged, we made sure to email them. Their work was the exact type of photography we were looking for and we couldn’t be more happy that we found them. We could not have asked for a better pair to photograph/video our wedding day-they were so fun, easygoing, and made the day feel less like a ‘photoshoot’ and made us feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera! Leading up to the wedding, they were super responsive and so friendly and fun!! The schedule they made was perfect and so flexible with what we were looking for, and we are MORE than pleased with the work and professionalism! We got our sneak peeks back the next day and are IN LOVE with them!! They were beyond what we imagined. We cannot recommend Jarrod and Taylor enough for any couple getting married. It truly felt like we were getting our photos taken by friends-it was amazing. They were the absolutely BEST! We can’t wait to see our full gallery and wedding video!!

Yes, my wife and I have shot many wedding videos over the years. Our current offering includes a Super 8 highlight video.
Many couples plan at least 12 months in advance but not everyone has the luxury of that time frame. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. If I'm available, I will do my best to be there!
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
Our offering comes with sneak previews to share with friends and family. Our turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view the rest of your gallery online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding.
Yes. We can customize our offering slightly, but you'll find that it includes everything you need and more :)
