For as long as I can remember, I've always had a camera in hand. The past 10 years I’ve lived my dream being a professional photographer and documenting my couples journey together. The images I take for you will be so much more than just photos on a feed, and I am passionate about creating an experience that you will never forget. Your love is so beautifully unique, and deserves to be celebrated. If you’re about genuine connection, laid back romance, and getting in touch with your weird and wild side, chances are we’re going to be best of friends.

No stiff poses, no forced smiles. I'm not a "point and click" photographer. I love movement, laughing, cuddles and most of all, emotion. I believe everything that makes your love story unique should be portrayed through your images. How do we achieve this? Through trust, vulnerability, and letting go. Trust me, my experience, and creative process - so you can show up and focus on each other. Be ready to get vulnerable and give me an inside look to your relationship (this is a no judgment zone).     A dream come true!

    Sean and I were so lucky and grateful to have Moriel photograph our Tuscan elopement!! From initial conversations, to the days of our elopement, Moriel was so effortless to talk with and made the photography aspect of our elopement planning seamless. She accommodated calls prior to our elopement, working around the Australia/USA time difference and helped narrow down ideas and styles and venues we were unsure about. She made choosing a photographer from another country feel so easy. Moriel understood our vision perfectly and brought us clarity in all the stress of wedding/elopement planning. She made us feel so comfortable around her that when it came time for our elopement days, it felt like we were just catching up with a friend. This made being in front of the camera so easy and stress-free, even my husband, who normally hates taking photos, had so much fun and we both look back so fondly at the day. After the elopement, were already so excited to see our photos and OH MY GOSH DID THEY DELIVER!!! From sneak peaks to the full gallery, we couldn’t be happier! Our photos captured every bit of magic felt in the day and more. Moriel is so very talented, her execution of our vision and her overall style came through so beautifully in our photos. She combined editorial and classic styles with elements of dark/moody and artistic wedding photography, melding all of this into one. We are beyond ecstatic and honestly just smile every time we look at the pictures from our elopement. I wish we could go back and do it all again!     AMAZING. No notes.

    Moriel was incredible to work with. She photographed my elopement in San Diego and I can’t recommend her enough. She set up a FaceTime prior to the day to establish what we were going for and kept in constant contact to give me location ideas and a rough timeline of how far everything would be. Our pictures are absolutely stunning. Book with her! You won’t be disappointed!

    Storybook Memories for the Socially Awkward

    as a very socially awkward couple, we were nervous about being in front of a camera, but Moriel made us feel so at ease. her kindness and calm energy helped us relax and just be ourselves. the photos they captured feel like something out of a storybook — full of genuine moments and emotion. we’ll cherish these memories for the rest of our lives.     Great for queer clients

    We had an excellent experience working with Moriel as our wedding photographer. She did a fantastic job and was absolutely worth the investment. Moriel is based in San Diego and charges a small travel fee for work in Hawaii where we were married, which was more than justified by the quality of her work. She was professional, well prepared, and brought thoughtful, creative ideas for photos throughout the day. She struck the perfect balance of guidance and flexibility, which helped everything feel natural and unforced. It was especially important to us to work with a queer photographer, and Moriel made us, as an LGBTQ couple, feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely sexy in front of the camera. She helped us relax and let our guards down, which truly shows in the photos. She effortlessly captured all of the important moments of our wedding and felt fully present and invested in the day. We are so happy with the results and would recommend Moriel again and again to anyone looking for a talented and inclusive wedding photographer.

I take bookings up to 1.5 years in advance, with most couples booking me 1 year in advance for weddings, and 3-6 months for elopements.
All delivered images are fully edited. This includes color correction, crop/straightening, exposure, etc. Light retouching is included such as skin smoothing, but heavier retouching may incur a fee. I never "photoshop" anyone to look different than their natural selves, unless requested.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
Completed galleries will be availabile within 8 weeks for weddings, and 6 weeks for elopements. You will also receive several "sneak peek" images within a week (because I know you can't wait to see them!)
You can expect your final gallery to have an average of 75-100 images per hour of coverage. Every wedding and elopement is different, so I don't limit the final number of images you receive!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Depending on the timeline of the day, if I find the need for a second photographer I will have one with me! I always want to do what is most beneficial for your special day and the final outcome of your gallery. For bigger sized weddings, and most 8 and 10 hour days, I do usually end up needing an extra pair of hands and eyes.
My packages are for continuous coverage, and cannot be split up throughout the day (for example: 2 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening). No matter what package is booked, I devote that entire day to you! If you are needing additional hours beyond your package, they can be added on for $550/hour
I don't consider myself a wedding planner, but I will do everything I can to help make sure you have the day of your dreams! I will gladly help with things such as vendor recommendations, timeline planning, and location hunting. I love to be involved, and share my knowledge and expertise!
My workflow process ensures the security of your irreplaceable memories. I shoot on double memory cards and always have back up cameras/lenses. Following your event, I back up all images on double hard drives as well as cloud storage, including the edited gallery when it is completed. My clients privacy is always priority. Online galleries are password protected, and if you would like to keep your images private I will always respect that.
You are able to purchase high quality professional grade prints and other products such as albums through the store attached to your online gallery. All products have been hand picked by me to ensure quality, and accurate color to my edits. I love helping design wedding albums and offer that to my couples at no extra charge! For convenience, I do provide a limited print release that allows you to print elsewhere at your leisure for personal use, at any time.
