We’re the Scherer's… a husband and wife wedding photography & videography duo. We are parents to three sweet littles and two fur babies who keep our home and heart busy but filled with love. Most days you can find us working from our home office, shooting sessions at our studio space, or adventuring with our family in our little hometown of Stillwater.

True Minnesotans at heart - we’ve got major love for long, relaxing days at the lake and a good Caribou Coffee ]. We love a good old-fashioned game night, a good aged tequila will never turn down a kitchen dance party, and have seen every episode of Friends or Modern Family more times than we can count!

Terrible Product and Service
Nice people with astoundingly terrible product and service. I have 7 children and have used photographers for 5 weddings, and many other occasions. Jenessa Scherer is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Details … POOR PRODUCT: All group family photos were out of focus on the entire right side of the frame. The bride/groom were not positioned in the center of the family photos (not even close), but rather on the right side of center. Group photos were taken so close that the proportions do not enable enlargements - 4x6 photos were fine, but anything larger (even 8x10 photos) required a white band on the top and bottom. Photographer promised she would enlist a professional to make corrections but I gave up after many promises that it would happen “next week”. My iphone could have done a better job at capturing the family group. TIMELINESS AND INTEGRITY: The contract stated photos would be provided within 14 weeks but they arrived 4 months after the wedding and the video arrived 8 months after the wedding (2 months past deadline). Dozens of emails were sent inquiring about missed deadlines; most were ignored but many promised that the product will be coming “next week”. Although we take no issue with the video product, we paid 5000 for the “Ultimate Package” and a year and a half after the wedding, still don’t have a decent family photo to hang on the wall. If I could rate with zero stars, I would.

The sweetest husband and wife team!
We hired Scherer Photo Co for our family photos and we’re absolutely blown away! They were so organized and knew what they were doing. Jenessa was so sweet with my kiddos and got great pictures showcasing their personality! We got our photos back promptly and there were so many amazing shots. They were so kind and answered every question we had, and they thought of so many different poses and groupings I wouldn’t have even thought to get. If they were this amazing for a family photo session, I can only imagine how amazing they are on a wedding day. If I could get married again, I would definitely hire Jenessa and Chris!

still waiting for finalized video
I caution you before hiring this company for any video services!!. Hired 9-2024 for video for daughter wedding. Video was over 6 wks late to arrive (lots of excuses from computer died to vaca)- we pd for extra hour to include wedding sparkler sendofff- groom sang to bride as a surprise, and NONE of that was in video -& only 30 seconds of sparkler send off. When complained, they offered to add those back in (and fix 2 long "black" delays in video). 13 emails back & forth, deadlines missed & false promises. Last email was June 30th 2025 was told 2 weeks for new video, still waiting! 1 yr after their beautiful wedding and still no complete video. Warning Janessa owner will call you "friend/s"- do not hire them!!
