Hi there, I’m Olivia, the face behind Afterglow Weddings and Events! With over five years of experience in the wedding industry, including catering and venue sales, I've been part of more than 100 love stories. My journey in the Chicago wedding industry has included time as a venue coordinator, catering sales manager and event coordinator. My favorite part about working in the industry is working with couples to help their wedding dreams come to life. At Afterglow Weddings and Events, I'm dedicated to bringing your dreams to life and ensuring every detail reflects your unique love story.
Having been in the Chicago wedding industry for over 6 years I have a wide range of experience working in catering, venues and private planning. I wanted to use my expertise to help all couples bring their dream wedding to life!

We cannot say enough good things about Afterglow Weddings and Events. From our first conversation, their communication was clear and straightforward, which made the whole planning process feel manageable and stress-free. They took care of everything we needed, handling all the details so we could actually enjoy planning our wedding instead of getting overwhelmed by it. Olivia answered our questions quickly and always made us feel supported. The day itself was seamless, and we got to focus on celebrating with our loved ones instead of worrying about logistics. Our wedding was truly the best weekend of our lives, and we owe so much of that to the team at Afterglow for making it all come together so beautifully.

Best decision!
Choosing Olivia the owner of Afterglow Weddings and Events as our wedding planner was the best decision we made! We were overwhelmed in the beginning stages of wedding planning. Upon our first inquiry Olivia was so clear on what services she provided and her cost was fair and so worth it! We had already set our budget, guest count, and booked our venue so we chose her partial planning option and from our first planning meeting I knew we made a good decision, it was like a weight being lifted. She uses a very easy platform to help keep everything organized with a thorough checklist that I started tackling immediately. We had regular meetings where she helped us choose all the rest of our vendors and we felt like we had a knowledgeable partner throughout the whole process. The day of Olivia and her team (Abby and Anna) really took care of us, kept me calm and kept all things running smoothly throughout the day. She is a very organized, positive, calm, and a genuinely sweet person and was the perfect fit for us. I highly recommend Olivia and Afterglow Weddings and Events to any couple who is searching for help with making your wedding day perfect!

Above & Beyond
I worked with Camille for wedding coordination and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Camille is incredibly friendly, but she is also very clear that she is on your team, so if we felt pressure from vendors or family members, she had our backs. She had a very calming presence throughout planning, which made me feel a lot more at ease. Our wedding was absolutely seamless (at least, if there was any issue, we didn't know about it), and truthfully, it felt like we were just besties by the end of it. I also want to mention Abby, who I believe was the assistant planner for the evening. Abby was the person to help me touch up my makeup throughout the day, she had water on hand for me and the groom, and she took like 400 pictures and short videos and shared them with us immediately after the wedding. She has such a fun personality and really made the day fun. Before this, I couldn't imagine why anyone would want to be a wedding planner because it seems so stressful, but with Camille and Abby, they truly seem to love their jobs and they are such seasoned professionals, I don't even know if they were stressed! I would recommend them a thousand times over!!

Jessica with Afterglow was outstanding as our wedding coordinator and we can't recommend her enough for other couples. If we could give her over 5 stars, we would! Jessica is professional, detail-focused, proactive, not to mention an all-around nice person. She carefully understand our vision, kept us on task with deadlines, provided expert advice, created a detailed timeline for our wedding day, and ensured all wedding vendors executed flawlessly. She actively participated in all vendor discussions with us, as soon as we were 3 months from our date. Working with her for the 90 days prior to wedding day gave us the confidence that she would handle anything that came our way day of, and she did just that. As the weather was unpredictable on wedding day, Jessica allowed for rain plan adjustments as needed which relieved a lot of stress. She was ever-calm and professional, and made sure we didn't have to worry about a thing. We are so grateful to Jessica and the Afterglow team for taking care of every single thing on wedding day so we could be fully present and enjoy every moment of our special day!

Amazing experience with Camille
We worked with Camille for wedding coordination and she is incredible! Every call and check-in we had with her left us more calm and confident in the crazy whirlwind that is wedding planning. She is a wonderful person to have in your corner on wedding day- handling everything and also just letting us enjoy the day how we wanted to enjoy it. We would choose Camille over and over again!
