While you later stated that certain tasks could be removed, the timing and volume of changes made it impossible to confidently fulfill expectations under the original agreement. It is important to note that we did communicate, and once it became clear that the requested workload exceeded the contracted scope, we followed the terms of the agreement. Cancellation & Refund Bushman Sands Dream Events elected to cancel the service because the responsibilities requested no longer aligned with the contracted package, and agreement could not be reached. As stated in the contract you signed, the $350 retainer is non‑refundable, covering administrative time, communication, planning, and date reservation. The remaining $350 was refunded in full. Clarifying the Core Issue The core issue was not a refusal to perform contracted services. The issue was that the final list of responsibilities submitted days before the event significantly exceeded the agreed‑upon scope. When additional staffing and labor were required, we followed the contract and provided an updated quote. When agreement could not be reached, cancellation followed the terms of the contract.
