The best decision we made in wedding planning
I was one of those people who went into wedding planning thinking, “I’m organized, I’m detail-oriented, I can probably do most of this myself.” While I loved being involved in the planning process, I eventually realized just how much I needed someone like Emi in my corner. Hiring Emi was one of the best decisions we made. From the beginning, Emi was incredibly organized, thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding weekend feel personal to us. She helped us navigate the logistics, timelines, vendors, and countless little details that come with planning a wedding, particularly in the final five months. What I appreciated most was that Emi never made me feel like I was asking too many questions or caring too much about the details. She was always willing to talk things through, consider different options, and help us feel confident in our decisions. She helped bring our vision to life and ensured everything came together beautifully and felt completely true to us. On the wedding weekend itself, knowing that someone we trusted was managing all the moving pieces behind the scenes allowed us to be present and enjoy the celebration. Emi is incredibly talented, but just as importantly, she is kind, calm, patient, and wonderful to work with. We are so grateful to have had her by our side and would wholeheartedly recommend Reese Events to anyone looking for a planner who will make them feel supported every step of the way.

The best planner we could have asked for!!
Highly highly recommend Emi for your wedding, we were so grateful to have her by our side through planning and the day of at Seascape Resort in Aptos, CA in August 2026. Before working with Emi: I was looking for a partial planner as I was comfortable securing vendors on my own but wanted someone to guide me on options, and really come in the couple months before the wedding to sort out the logistics / schedule and coordinate the day of, as well as just a sounding board for anything (decorations, events, timing, etc.). I spoke with a few other planners including Emi, and it was such an easy decision to go with her! She's professional and knowledgeable (especially if you are getting married in the Santa Cruz / Aptos area like we were), but also so warm and easy to get along with! As a bonus, her quotes were better than the larger planner groups we spoke to, if cost is a constraint for you. During planning: We got the partial planning package, meaning that Emi comes in 2 months before the wedding but even in the months prior to that she was so helpful for any questions I had. I had trouble picking between photographers, landing on centerpiece designs, etc. and she was always quick to respond (like, immediately) and ready to hop on a call if I wanted. In the 2 months prior, she was the one reaching out to all of our vendors so they knew where to go and when, get their insurance certificates, etc. and help schedule a walk-through with our venue (and was there in person as well). On the wedding: We had multiple events for our wedding that Emi helped with. On the day before, we did a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and a welcome party later on at a restaurant close to the venue. On the wedding day, we had our ceremony reception as well as an after-party at the venue. Truly the best weekend of our lives -- I was not stressed in the least because I knew that not only would Emi take care of things, but she knew us well enough that we trusted her to make decisions on our behalf if anything crazy came up. She had an assistant and together they made our vision come true! They take care of all the set up and clean up so all you need to do is drop off / pick up your stuff before and after. And they ensured we were where we needed to be at the right times, that the schedule was followed (while being flexible if things veered off), we didn't need to think about anything other than having fun. It was such a gift to be able to be totally present with my husband and our loved ones because of Emi! With Emi, it really feels like you're planning with a super organized, capable friend - she is just as excited for you as a friend is, and knows how to get things done to make it happen. I'm usually the planner of the group, and I cannot stress how amazing it felt to not have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding! My husband is not one to give out many compliments but even he said he was impressed with Emi. Cannot recommend her enough!

BEST PLANNER EVER
Emi killed it! She’s so sweet but gets stuff done! She kept us all calm on the big day and weeks leading up. We highly recommend emi! She handled any little bumps like a pro.

Amazing experience!
From our first conversation, Emi made us feel confident in her ability to pull off our wedding day. She stayed on top of every detail and communicated with us quickly throughout the planning process, which gave us so much peace of mind. On the day of the wedding, she took charge and made sure everything ran smoothly. It honestly felt like the easiest day ever! Her work was consistent and spectacular from start to finish, and we felt so grateful to have had her there with us every step of the way. She's a gem, and if you're thinking about hiring Emi Reese Events, this is your sign to do it! You won't regret it, and we'd recommend her 10/10.

Emi is amazing!!
Emi is nothing but amazing. She is very hard working. You can tell she cares deeply about every wedding and couple she works with. She quite literally saved my wedding day after our original wedding ghosted us. She stepped in with no hesitation and made me feel so comfortable leaving the day in her hands. She is such a pleasure to work with, I wish I had found her sooner. She is very communicative and responds in a timely manner or any questions you may have. As well as communication with all vendors. If anything went awry on my day, I had no idea because her and her team were and are amazing. I highly, highly recommend Emi to anyone who is looking for a stress free wedding day! (Or as stressless as it can be) 3
