I founded Events by Nya in 2025, after starting in the events industry in 2021. Weddings are the heart of what I do, and I also plan corporate events, nonprofit galas and fundraisers, and milestone celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries. I lead with a classic, timeless sensibility and a love for the small details that most people never notice but everyone feels. My goal is for your day to feel like you, and for you to actually be present for it while I take care of everything else. Chicago based, with travel available.

My favorite part of a wedding day isn't the flowers or the timeline. It's the moment I catch someone standing in the middle of their own celebration, finally relaxed, actually having fun. Not checking their phone. Not looking for me. Just there. That is the entire point of hiring a planner, and it is what I build every timeline around. And when something goes sideways on the day, and something always does, you will not hear about it. That is my job, not yours.

Description

Full-service planning and design, from the engagement to the last dance. Starting at $5,500 for up to 150 guests, with $500 for each additional 50. Includes design concept and styling direction, vendor sourcing and contracting, budget creation and management, seating chart and floor plan, ongoing planning meetings with unlimited communication, and complete wedding day production — 16 hours on site.

For couples who have planned every detail themselves and want it executed flawlessly. Starting at $2,200 for up to 150 guests, with $500 for each additional 50. Includes two planning meetings at eight and four weeks out, a master wedding day timeline distributed to every vendor, floor plan support, vendor confirmations, a 30-minute ceremony rehearsal, and 10 hours of coverage with an assistant.

    Day of Coordination

    Nya was hired by me to coordinate my daughter-in-law as well as son‘s wedding last October. It was beautiful in every regard and went smoothly. We could not have done it with out her. I hired her only one month out, but she was willing to take us even though most planners only do clients at least three months out. I’m so glad I hired her and she was very organized from start to finish the whole time. She was also very professional the wedding turned out to be a success.

    Renewal Of Vow

    I witnessed NYA planning my sister’s event a couple years ago and she was amazing. Everything from the guest list being taken care of all the way down to the small details like making sure they had a cake topper was completed. She was amazing and brought an assistant with her to make sure that they had all the decorations put up as well as walked everyone through the rehearsal of how to walk down the aisle perfectly. I highly recommend her for any event that you have. She knows what she’s doing and has a passion for it.

It depends on your package and planning needs. For full-service planning, we’ll likely meet several times leading up to the wedding with ongoing communication throughout. For day-of coordination, we’ll have a few focused meetings before the big day to ensure everything is perfectly organized.
I only take one wedding per day — and often just one per weekend — to give each couple my full attention and care. Your wedding deserves my undivided focus!
