    EVENTS OF NV - BEWARE

    Our experience with Niki Vanhowten of Events Of NV was incredibly disappointing, and I would not recommend her services.  Although her coordination services were included through our venue, Niki operates her own separate business. The level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail we received fell far below our expectations. The biggest issue was the mishandling of our reception timeline. I was never given a final timeline to review, and afterwards, we saw that the timeline Niki made did not reflect what we had communicated. Our welcome toast, parent dances, and cake cutting happened earlier than scheduled, and the dance floor was opened an hour early. Special moments were rushed together, leaving the reception feeling disorganized. Our dance floor was empty, and another vendor had to step in to bring guests back inside. Our DJ was also never given two printed copies of our instructions. Our first dance started at the wrong time, playlists were not followed, our requested dedication to my mom was missed, and our final group dance was played after the shuttle announcement, when our guests had already left. Even the dance floor lighting was not lowered until Niki was asked twice. Our late night snack was put in the wrong location, our outdoor bar decor being moved without asking, koozies being displayed incorrectly, our SH table left dirty, forks not on the cake table, and my husband not receiving my rings until the best man asked. Niki did not check on my husband in the groom’s suite, and we were never asked if we needed food or drinks. Other vendors were the ones checking on us and stepping in when things were not being handled. I cried twice during our reception and was not checked on by our Niki. Even ensuring I had the seltzers I requested during our planning call became an issue. When I received one, Niki gave an explanation involving my husband supposedly not knowing my preferred flavor. My husband told me that this conversation had never happened. Rather than acknowledging that my request had not been handled, the explanation given placed the blame on my husband during our wedding day. Our marriage license was another example of the lack of communication. When I realized it had not been signed, I could not find Niki and had to ask another vendor for help. I was also told by someone who attended our wedding that Niki had said, “I can’t wait for this to be over.” I cannot speak to the context of that comment, but hearing it was heartbreaking. My parents spent tens of thousands of dollars on this wedding. My dad worked overtime for a year, and my family made sacrifices to give us this day. To hear that comment after everything our family invested was so upsetting. I never expected every detail to go flawlessly. What I did expect was communication, accountability, and someone who would take ownership and help us enjoy our day. Instead, I spent my reception relying on other vendors to help with responsibilities that should have been handled by Niki. They should not have had to compensate for Niki's failures. This was not one mistake or a matter of preference. It was a repeated pattern of poor communication, disorganization, and a lack of support that affected our experience. I expressed all of this to Niki and instead of offering an apology or explanation, she blocked me.   Please do your research before booking Events Of NV or Niki Vanhowten. I sincerely hope no other couple has to feel the way we did

    Compassionate, Professional, and 100% Essential

    I truly cannot sing Niki Vanhowten’s praises enough. From the moment we hired her at Events of NV, she was a steady, calming force throughout our wedding planning journey. Originally brought on as our day-of coordinator, she graciously stepped into a month-of role—and even though we were more than a month out, she supported us as if we were in the final stretch. Niki attended every vendor meeting with me, took detailed notes, and helped me stay grounded when things felt overwhelming. Her communication was clear, her presence reassuring, and her dedication unmatched. She worked within our limited budget without ever making us feel like we were compromising on care or quality. On the wedding day, Niki and her assistant were absolutely incredible. Not only did they handle setup and breakdown—which allowed my family to enjoy the day as guests—but they managed everything behind the scenes. The day ran seamlessly, and any hiccups were handled so smoothly that our guests never noticed a thing. While we were outside taking photos, her assistant even brought us cold water to keep us comfortable and cared for. That kind of thoughtfulness meant the world. Niki is one of the biggest reasons our wedding felt effortless and joyful. She’s not just a coordinator—she’s an advocate, a problem-solver, and someone who genuinely cares. I would recommend Events of NV to anyone looking for a team that goes above and beyond. I’d hire her again in a heartbeat.

    Best Cordinator Ever!

    Niki was amazing and we couldn't have asked for more. She was there with tons of information, help, and really anything we needed. I was super impressed with her get it done aditude and sweet personality. What an amazing company, I'd recommend over and over again.

Yes! We have a team of Coordinators and assistants. A coordinator will be assigned to you, or you can pick who best works for you. Not only will you have your Lead Coordinator on the day of, there will also be an assistant there to be the extra hands and feet of your coordinator. We want to focus on you!
Yes, we are able to work multiple weddings in a day or weekend. Just got to check that calendar first to make sure we can celebrate you and your BIG Day!
This just depends on what service you are wanting. Our Month of Coordination, we like to start 45 to 60 days out. Partial planning, is about 6 months out, and our Full planning is a year or more. Let's meet for coffee or a margarita to talk about your wedding and become your wedding BFF.
