I am a certified wedding and event planner, I've been working in the wedding industry for over a decade. I started off as an event planners assistant and soon found myself working for various venues. I studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology where I began building the foundation for my company. In 2013 I officially launched my wedding and event planning business in Sullivan County, NY. While I have planned dozens of weddings you can expect the upmost professionalism and confidence. My passion and attention to detail for this industry does not go unnoticed. I want to give every couple the opportunity to enjoy their wedding day!

As your wedding planner, my job is to be your emotional support therapist, the keeper of your mother if needed, the one who calms you down, the one who reassures you everything will be okay, all while making the wedding planning process as smooth and as stress free as possible. I am not your ordinary wedding planner, I take a very hands on approach and I am constantly expanding my knowledge, even if that means jumping in as a bartender during cocktail hour. I have experience with floral design which will come in handy for helping you design your dream wedding vision. With KR Occasions you can say "I do" with a smile and a stress free process.

Our full service package includes everything from planning, styling, and coordinating for those who desire complete management of their big day. We begin with an in-depth consultation where we learn about you, your event needs, and ideas. With this knowledge we prepare a proposal catered to you and design the perfect event exactly how YOU want it. Together we will finalize the concepts and we will work to recruit only the best vendors.

This service is for couples who have planned a weekend wedding experience, beyond their wedding day. This can include welcome dinners, farewell brunches and even on site activities. Our coordinators will help you manage the entire weekend wedding experience.

This service is for couples who need some assistance in certain area of the wedding planning process. Think of us as your go to wedding assistant / secretary! These services can be added onto any of our wedding packages or be used without a package

This service is for couples who have already planned our their wedding. Our trained and experienced wedding coordinators are available to make sure your plans are facilitated without a hitch!

    Exceptional Wedding Planner (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!)

    We cannot say enough wonderful things about our wedding planner Kayce @KR Occasions! We were searching for a wedding planner online through Zola and we couldn’t have been any happier that we found the right person for the task. From the very first day we spoke, we knew we found the right person. Her enthusiasm was everything and she made us super comfortable and confident through the planning process. Kayce did an absolutely exceptional job making our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be. She was incredibly efficient, attentive, organized, and always one step ahead for everything.     I cannot recommend Kayce and her team enough! From the time she came on, she was there to guide me through every step of the planning process, answering questions, offering advice, and making sure no detail was overlooked. On our wedding day, she handled everything seamlessly, allowing my husband and me to truly relax and enjoy every moment without worrying about logistics. She was organized, professional, kind, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect; and she absolutely delivered. Everything ran smoothly because of her hard work behind the scenes.     Highly recommend!!

    Kayce was an amazing wedding coordinator. From our 1st call she was so organized and we knew we we were in good hands. As a type A bride, her timeline and level of detail made the lead up and day of our wedding day run so smoothly. She was the go to and helped solve any issues day of quickly and smoothly. Could not recommend more!

    Wedding Day Made Easy

    Kayce helped make our wedding day perfect. From the start, she was hands on and attentive. As a couple who were not totally sure what we wanted our wedding to look like at the beginning, Kayce held our hands us through some difficult decison making. She helped keep us on track through a brief but intense planning period, and - to get really specific - she did vital and tedious work chasing down our vendors for COIs (thinking about having to do this ourselves makes me nauseous). Kayce also did amazing work putting together our beautiful floral arrangements that were the perfect touch to our woodsy winter wedding. On the day of the wedding, Kayce made sure everything went smoothly. Everyone always says every wedding has that one thing that goes wrong, but everything went perfectly for us. Kayce is passionate about getting the day right for her clients and we're so happy we worked with her.

    Our favorite vendor!

    Kayce was the best decision we made in our wedding planning journey. My wife and I are both big time people pleasers and were very overwhelmed with work as the wedding got closer. Kayce helped keep us on task and was always asking us what we want, not others. She was super familiar with many of the vendors we used and how to best work with our venue (City Winery) as she had done many weddings there in the past. Each monthly check in helped give us a good sense of what we needed to do and what things to think about over the next month. She really guided our planning and thought of logistics I wouldn't have known to plan for. We weren't going to hire a wedding planner as I do plan events frequently for work and we were planning a smaller wedding, but wedding planning was a much bigger lift than I anticipated given how personal it all is. Our very first intro call she gave us suggestions and advice for the things we were currently focusing on in our planning before we even committed to her services! As a queer couple we had some vendors treat us differently and Kayce made us feel safe and like any other couple which we didn't find to be true throughout the industry as a whole. Our wedding was one of our favorite days and we were able to truly enjoy it and not worry about all the little things (that likely popped up that I was totally unaware of!). Thanks, Kayce! 3

We have an amazing team at KR Occasions. April who is been on the service side of the industry for a decade. Harmony comes from a background of photography for weddings and other events! Karen is our very talented designer from signs to balloon arches, she is a perfectionist with details.
We love all events!
We try to only take on 1 wedding a weekend. The Catskills / Hudson Valley area has a limited wedding season so sometimes we will do 2 weddings in a weekend, but never on the same day!
Depending on the package that works best for you, we will traditionally spend 30 hours on our wedding management packages and full service couples we will spend close to 150 hours working on your project!
I’ve been part of the wedding industry for 16 years, and my passion for creating unforgettable celebrations led me to start KR Occasions in 2013. Since then, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to personally plan and coordinate more than 100 weddings! We’ve planned events ranging from 30 guests to 250+ guests, bringing the same level of care, creativity, and attention to detail to every celebration. I truly believe there’s nothing more rewarding than helping couples bring their vision to life and creating a wedding day they’ll remember for years to come.
