Welcome to The Perfect Knot Wedding Planning, my name is Lucy Tan. I love working with details both big and small to develop a beautiful wedding day that reflects your personalities and unique style. I thoroughly enjoy working with you to create your perfect day and seeing you enjoy your day to the fullest. My wealth of experience centers on bringing out the individuality of the couple. By bringing my creativity and wedding experience to each aspect of the planning process, I will ensure your wedding will be The Perfect Knot.

I bring over a decade of experience in wedding and event planning. I started in the wedding industry in one of London’s most impressive 5-star hotel venues, The Landmark London. There I worked with over 200 clients to create their perfect weddings. From there I launched my own freelance business, and have planned weddings around the globe, including the UK, Singapore, Italy and California. Marrying a local San Diegan, I relocated to San Diego, and The Perfect Knot San Diego was born!

The perfect wedding planner!!
You need to book Lucy for your wedding planner immediately! It was the best decision we ever made during the wedding planning process. She helped make our wedding day feel like an absolute fairytale. Lucy was a consummate professional, always thinking multiple steps ahead, keeping us on track the whole way. She worked with us to establish our personal vision for the wedding day, taking into account all of the special aspects we wanted. Her vendor suggestions were spot on and ended up making our wedding day absolutely perfect! She was available for any questions we had, and for any decision, big or small, Lucy was able to give us amazing advice. We literally could not have planned our wedding without Lucy! And then on the wedding day itself, Lucy made sure everything went smoothly behind the scenes so that we didn't have to think about any logistical details and could just enjoy the day! The best wedding planner!
Working with Lucy was an absolute pleasure. From the very first call she was responsive and thorough in understanding our vision for the wedding. We Love Lucy!
Lucy is such a meticulous, kind, thoughtful, hard-working, personable and collaborative wedding planner that it is hard to write a review glowing enough to fully capture how pleased we were to work with her. Suffice it to say, that in whatever capacity, you’ll want her involved in your own wedding if you want to enjoy your day to the fullest. “Weddings are stressful” is the conventional wisdom. Incredibly less stressful with the assistance of a wedding planner as capable and skilled as Lucy Tan. She was adept at including everyone in the process while prioritizing our vision of the perfect wedding. Whenever we felt flustered, Lucy was calm and prepared with a solution at hand. The enjoyment of our wedding day by all in attendance was in no small part due to Lucy’s attentiveness. Additionally, she had great relationships with all of our vendors and the venue. They loved working with her as much as we did! We highly recommend working with Lucy Tan and the Perfect Knot!
