Tucked into the towering evergreens of southwest Washington, Alder Grove is a private open-air event venue located three miles west of Castle Rock, WA — the official Gateway to Mount St. Helens. Set on the former historic Crosby family tree farm at 445 Growlers Gulch Road, just off PH10 (Postal Highway 10), Alder Grove was built for moments that deserve more than four walls: fairytale outdoor weddings beneath a canopy of native alders and Douglas firs, corporate retreats, family reunions, and live outdoor concerts framed by sweeping views of Mt. Rainier from the ceremony grounds, with Mt. St. Helens rising to the east. The grounds blend professionally landscaped gardens with wild forest character: manicured lawn space for ceremonies and seated dinners flows naturally into wooded trails, water features, and quiet clearings perfect for portraits, golden-hour photography, and intimate conversation.

    Alder Grove Event Center made planning our wedding stress-free from start to finish. The team was prompt with responses, genuinely friendly, and always ready to help us tackle any question or concern. What really stood out was the immaculate grounds and setting—the natural beauty of the venue meant we didn't need to do much decorating to make it feel special. They took care of every detail during our big day, from setup to cleanup, which allowed us and our guests to simply relax and enjoy the celebration. We felt supported throughout the entire process and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We'd absolutely recommend Alder Grove to any couple looking for a gorgeous venue with a team that truly cares.

    Our Dream Wedding Venue

    We got married at Alder Grove and couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful place for our wedding! The property is absolutely stunning, and every detail made our day feel so special and magical. We will forever cherish the memories we made here. Highly recommend Alder Grove for anyone looking for a beautiful, intimate wedding venue!
