We stumbled on this beautiful farm/winery during a drive up to Chesapeake City MD. The grounds are magnificent, sitting high above a beautiful lake view. We dined at the onsite restaurant Harvest & Tide which was very flavorful and service impeccable. Thanks to our server Michelle who had great recommendations and personable service. After lunch we went over to the Tank Room to purchase a take home bottle. Everything was so great and hope to visit again soon.

Can't say enough good things about this place staff or the wine thats made here. One of the best experiences I had the pleasure of visiting. Hope to see you again in the future.

My husband and I were married here on 8/14, and I want to start by saying the grounds are genuinely gorgeous, our overall day was amazing, and marrying my husband here is something I'll always treasure. Unfortunately, the experience with this venue's team and management — from the day we booked through the wedding itself — was the most difficult part of our entire planning process, and I feel it's important for future couples to know what to expect. Before the wedding: Our main point of contact changed multiple times throughout the planning process, and each change came with a breakdown in communication. We were told this was due to staff being on leave, which is understandable, but as paying clients investing a significant amount of money into this event, we shouldn't have had to absorb the consequences of internal staffing issues. Communication only became consistent and attentive in the final two months before the wedding. We also dealt with a stressful misunderstanding around day-of coordination and repeated confusion over our payments. On the wedding day: Erika, Lizzy, and several of the servers were wonderful — attentive, kind, and clearly hard-working, and they deserve real recognition. Unfortunately, that wasn't the experience across the board. There were two weddings taking place at different parts of the venue that day, and there was no signage directing guests to the correct location. As a result, many of my guests, as well as guests from the other wedding, were visibly lost and confused about where they were supposed to be. This became personal for me in the most jarring way possible: as I was about to walk down the aisle, a man I didn't know — a guest arriving late to the other wedding — ended up walking down the aisle with me before realizing he was at the wrong event and leaving. That is something that should never happen at any wedding, let alone during the couple's own ceremony, and it points to a serious lack of basic day-of planning and wayfinding on the venue's part. On top of this, one of the bartenders was rude not only to me but to multiple guests who mentioned it to me directly. My husband was also given day-of instructions that changed repeatedly, which added unnecessary stress during the limited time he had to get ready. Billing and service issues: We paid extra for an upgraded meal for the two of us and instead were served the standard guest meal. We had already paid in advance for children's meals, but our family was told separately that they needed to order and pay for them — resulting in us being charged for 5 kids' meals when only 2 were actually eaten. We were also charged for wine we never drank. Paid-for leftover food was thrown away instead of being made available to our guests, despite our family asking directly if it could be boxed up. Koozies that were provided to bar to put out but did not until were told to do so. My husband and I put significant time into planning specific drink garnishes with the bar, which were never used. On top of all this, a brand-new Pyrex dish that was a wedding gift went missing at the bar and was never returned. Given the amount we invested in this wedding, the lack of consistent communication, the confusing and poorly managed day-of logistics, and the billing discrepancies were not what we were promised or what we paid for. I would not recommend this venue to other couples unless these systemic management and coordination problems are addressed. I'm hoping to hear directly from venue leadership with a resolution regarding the charges above and the missing item.
