Located in Midtown Kansas City, Melrose Abbey is a historic 1922 Gothic church restored as a luxury wedding venue. Exchange vows beneath a soaring 35-foot gold-ribbed dome, original stained glass and a 12-foot crystal chandelier, then celebrate downstairs in an elegant reception hall with a dramatic marble bar and dedicated dance floor. Designed for weddings of up to 200 guests, the venue includes tables, gold Chiavari chairs, spacious bridal and groom suites, a prep kitchen, ADA access and the freedom to choose approved vendors. Four attached boutique hotel suites sleep up to 24 guests, turning your celebration into a full wedding weekend without leaving the property. We could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding! Everything was absolutely beautiful, and the space created the perfect setting for one of the best days of our lives. A special thank you to Jenna, the venue manager—she is absolutely amazing! She was incredibly helpful, organized, responsive, and truly went above and beyond throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. Her kindness and attention to detail made everything feel so much less stressful, and we always knew we were in great hands. We received so many compliments on the venue, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a beautiful space and an incredible team!

We had our May 2026 wedding at Melrose Abbey and couldn’t have been happier. We spent a lot of time and energy doing our venue search and after a tour, we knew Melrose Abbey was perfect for us. Venue Manager Jenna was so wonderful to work with and the preferred vendors list they provide was so helpful. Melrose requires a day of coordinator and this was a huge help! We wanted to do the planning and design ourselves, but having a coordinator to help with our rehearsal and day of logistics was so nice so our family and friends could truly enjoy the day! We would choose Melrose Abbey again and again!

Absolutely loved getting married here. Gorgeous space with all the amenities you need for your wedding day! Jenna is a wonderful venue manager who was so helpful throughout the whole process. Highly recommend this wedding venue in Kansas City - the price is 100% worth it in my opinion.

From touring, to booking, to the very last second of our wedding night, Jenna at Melrose Abbey was an absolute DREAM to work with! Communication, attention to detail, and personality were all A+++. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable throughout our entire engagement. Located in the heart of downtown KC, absolutely stunning both inside and out, Melrose Abbey had our hearts since the first tour.
