    Lost client

    Writing again because they deleted my review the first time- Unfortunately, my experience with Mount Ida was extremely disappointing. I initially thought this was my dream wedding venue, but the communication and booking process ultimately made me decide not to move forward. I had to repeatedly follow up to get basic questions answered and received conflicting information throughout the process. Kathleen told me multiple times that she had emailed me a proposal, even asking on the phone if the proposal was “not good enough” for my dad, despite the fact that I had never received one. I was later told by someone else that Mount Ida doesn’t even have a formal proposal structure, which was incredibly confusing and concerning. I was also given conflicting information about who could secure our date first. After days of trying to get everything clarified, I was told they would not prepare a contract specific to our wedding until after we placed a deposit because preparing one “takes time.” I was not comfortable putting down a substantial deposit without first having a contract clearly outlining our specific booking. The property is beautiful, which makes this even more disappointing. For the amount of money couples spend on a wedding, I expected much clearer communication, consistency, and transparency. Unfortunately, this experience completely turned me away from a venue I had originally been so excited about.

    Happy June 2025 Couple

    The Lodge was an incredible venue to have a wedding at. Mount Ida's staff (especially Frankie and Bronwyn) were pleasant to work with and professional while we toured, booked, and hosted the event. The views are fantastic, the grounds are gorgeous, and the venue itself has been designed with every accommodation in mind. We have nothing but happy memories from our wedding and strongly recommend all couples check out The Lodge and Mount Ida for their events.

    We love Mount Ida!

    We recently had our wedding at the Event Barn and Gazebo and it was spectacular. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the space was, and the staff was so courteous and friendly. They were a dream to work with. We would recommend Mount Ida to any couple!

    We love Mt. Ida!

    I'm a wedding planner - we've helped plan lots of weddings at Mt. Ida properties. We love getting to work there. The staff is always wonderful and easy to work with and the venue is well kept. :-)

Your contract would be for a six hour event. The bridal suite is open two hours prior to ceremony, and groom's suite is open one hour prior to ceremony.
