As day turns to dusk, the property glows with warmth and charm. Gas-lit fire pits and elegant flame towers flicker softly, with classic lighting throughout the grounds add a timeless glow.

The Best Hidden Gem in Old Orchard Beach!!
Seashell Cottages and Events provided fabulous communication from start to finish! The venue was the perfect space for our wedding party, with accommodations for our guests to stay and enjoy the day and weekend with all Old Orchard Beach has to offer. A short walk to everything this is the perfect spot!. The owners were more than accommodating, even providing golf cart escorts to continue the festivities down to the pier and anywhere else we wanted to venture. This hidden gem is one you will not regret - we had a great time celebrating our special day at Seashell Cottages and Events! Plenty of room for guests to spread out with comfy sitting areas and relaxing nooks. Fire tables and room for food trucks or anything you can imagine! People raved that it was the most laid back fun wedding they have ever attended! Highly Recommend!

My wedding at Seashell Cottages & Events
My wedding was a dream come true with everything from our beautiful setup on the beach, a trolley to transport guests, a chef that prepared food that was delicious, and dancing the night away with music from our DJ! The venue has a list of preferred vendors that make it so easy and convenient to choose everything!

September Wedding
We recently had our wedding at Seashell Cottages in Old Orchard Beach, Maine in September and we couldn’t have been more impressed. The venue was beautifully maintained, and the setup of the tent and chairs created a perfect atmosphere for the celebration. One of the standout features was the flexibility they offered, allowing food trucks and a mobile bar, which added a fun and unique touch to the event. The wedding coordinator provided by the venue was fantastic, ensuring everything ran smoothly, which took a lot of stress off of us. The venue also offered clean and convenient amenities, including well-kept bathrooms and lodging options, making it easy for guests to relax and enjoy the festivities. Overall, I would highly recommend Seashell Cottages for anyone looking for a charming, well-organized, and unique wedding venue. Kegan K

Location was nice. Set up was beautiful. Embarrassed with all my guests informing me on comments made by the owners at the end of the event. I had heard some unneeded comments as well. Being the bride Im embarrassed. Overall a cute little location for a small wedding.

We’re truly glad to hear that you enjoyed the location and the beautiful set‑up for your celebration — it means a lot to us that the day felt special to you. We’re also very sorry to hear that the end of the evening felt uncomfortable. That is never the experience we want for any couple on their wedding day. Because we were hosting both your private event in the green space as well as overnight guests in the surrounding cottages, we had a responsibility to ensure everyone on the property remained safe and undisturbed. As the evening wrapped up, a few members of the group seemed to need a bit of extra support getting ready to depart. Out of genuine concern for everyone’s well‑being — yours, your guests’, and the families staying nearby — we stepped in to help guide the transition and uphold our 10:00pm quiet‑hour policy. We do have surveillance cameras on the property, and we use them regularly to review how we communicate and support guests during busy or sensitive moments. We’ll be using this as an opportunity for constructive feedback on our end as well, because we truly care about creating a positive experience from start to finish. Our intention was never to embarrass anyone. We care deeply about creating joyful, memorable celebrations while also keeping all guests safe and comfortable, which has always been our main focus in our 18 years hosting families on our properties. When looking for a venue, we went to so many tours over the course of a year, eager to pick the right one. Some were hard no’s, some were maybes because they were not quite in budget, others maybes because of perks they had that no one else had. We were scheduled to tour Seashell cottages and events, and then 3 more over the next week and a half, however this would be the last tour we would do. We immediately fell in love with the venue, the location, and the owners Karen and Janet. Not only is it super local to Old Orchard Beach allowing for the very best vacation you could ask for, with access to a gorgeous beach for a ceremony and sunset photos, but Karen and Janet are the sweetest people we have ever met !! Between helping us along the way with so many planning tasks and questions, offering us so many decorations to utilize for our wedding, snacks for us and our wedding party, and the coolest ride in town on the golf cart, they made our special day even more special than we could’ve imagined. I not only have a special place I can return to to remember our special day, but I feel a part of their wedding family❤️ So if you are thinking of checking this place out, DO IT! It might be your last stop too 🥰
