From our first conversation, The Barns at Wesleyan Hills proved they understood what we wanted for our wedding day. Their team stayed in touch regularly, answered our questions fast, and adapted when we needed changes—which meant so much during the planning process. Mary, our day-of coordinator, was the real MVP; she handled everything behind the scenes so we could actually enjoy ourselves without stress. She paid attention to every detail and went out of her way to make sure our vision became reality. The whole staff showed they genuinely cared about making our day special, not just another event. We felt supported from start to finish and couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Everything we could have wished for and more
We are so grateful to have booked our wedding day at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills on July 12, 2026. From touring the venue, we could immediately imagine getting married under the beautiful weeping willows and enjoying the rustic charm of the Barns. The space to get ready was recently updated and is gorgeous- it’s so bright, pretty and comfortable. The planning team is EXCELLENT! They are so thorough, work to understand and create a vision and give any input or ideas throughout the process. I had MANY questions, ideas, and was very specific about what I wanted and I could not have made my vision come to life without the planning team. They were always responsive and worked collaboratively with each other and with us. From decor to making sure the ceremony ran seamlessly, to cocktail hour, to mapping out the timing for the reception and everything in between- they had the answers! Everyone was so kind and approachable and easy to work with. Shannon was incredible and always kept me grounded when I felt stressed. She surprised me the day of the wedding and came by to see how everything turned out and that was extremely special. The food at the Barns was PHENOMENAL! We could not believe how far it exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend tacos and tequila and Eataly for cocktail hour stations. Having 10 passed horderves allowed for a fun variety! All night long, guests were telling us that this was the best wedding food they have ever experienced- and our guests have been to many, many weddings. The staff serving at the Barns were ridiculously kind and attentive (to the point that a guest asked me if I had personally picked the staff because of how amazing they were). They genuinely seemed to be having fun while serving guests, which made the whole experience even more fun and playful while still extremely professional. Mary, our day of coordinator could not have been more perfect if I had dreamed up exactly who I wanted to be there to support us the week of the wedding. She was organized, approachable, funny, and really understood what aspects mattered to us most as a couple. I am obsessed with her! I am literally crying while writing this review because I am so grateful for all of the staff at the Barns. We would absolutely recommend The Barns to any couple looking for the most magical day of their lives! — Max & Casey

Best venue EVER
From our first conversation with The Barns at Wesleyan Hills, we knew we had found the right venue. The team responded quickly to every question and genuinely wanted to help us plan our day, which made the whole process feel effortless instead of stressful. Our coordinator Ashley went above and beyond—she bustled my dress, kept us hydrated throughout the night, and even saved us food from cocktail hour so we could steal a quiet moment together before the reception started. The venue itself was absolutely perfect, and every detail came together exactly as we imagined. We had the best night ever and honestly wouldn't change a single thing. If we could do it all over again, we'd choose The Barns in a heartbeat.

The Wedding Comes to Reality
From the very first day we met with the team at The Barns through our wedding day, we knew we were in the best hands. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to every detail made the entire planning process feel completely stress-free. Every decision was discussed openly, and we truly felt like we were part of the process. The team listened to what we wanted, collaborated with us every step of the way, and made sure that when our wedding day finally arrived, there were no questions, no worries, and no last-minute surprises—just an incredible day filled with love, laughter, and memories. The transparency and genuine care we experienced throughout the entire journey were exceptional. What started as working with a wedding venue ended with us feeling like we had become part of a family. Our guests had an amazing time, and we were able to fully enjoy our wedding day knowing that everything was being taken care of. We honestly could not have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our love. Incredible
This venue is hands down the best and working with the Connecticut Wedding Group was incredible. They send reminders every step of the way to know exactly what needs to get done. The food and drinks are actually so good all my guests were talking about it for days. They are professional, quick to get back to you with any questions. They really made the planning process seamless and the day of experience was absolutely perfect. If you want to have the most memorable wedding day, get married here.
