About this venue
At The Tillerman, we like to make people feel at home. We are an inn, restaurant and event space restored and reimagined from its 1790’s bones and we’re all about the small, meaningful details that create sense of place. When folks leave here they feel like they have had an experience that feeds the soul. Our food is impeccably sourced from local farms, producers, vendors, makers and ranchers. We are entirely committed to quality and keeping our food simple and rustic. We want our guests to feel like they're going to a big dinner party at their friend’s house who also happens to be the best cook and host they know. Our vibe is old New England meets northern California meets a flower market meets a farmers market meets a warm, vibrant community. Everyone is welcome at The Tillerman. We are inclusive of all races, disabilities, ages, sexual orientations, religions, languages… We love love, and we’d love to meet you!

Our barn is the central location for weddings, small or large! For microweddings, the barn is used for dinner & dancing. For larger weddings, the barn is used for cocktail hour & reception.

The Summer Kitchen dining room is the perfect spot for micro weddings. An intimate space with hardwood floors, walls and ceilings and big windows that let in the light.

An intimate celebration for 30 people or less, in our restaurant or barn. Our inspired, seasonal menus reflect our commitment to our local farmers and makers - with wood-fired cooking at the heart of it all. Alcohol & beverage are charged on consumption. Options to add on a few more people to your event, or stay with us in our inn with 7 rooms.

A simple, off-season intimate wedding for 65 people or less. Our inspired, seasonal menus reflect our commitment to our local farmers and makers - with wood-fired cooking at the heart of it all. Alcohol & beverage are charged based on consumption, otherwise the package is inclusive of everything you need for a late fall, winter, or spring wedding! Package available November-May. Required to book our inn for a minimum of 2 nights with all 7 rooms. Available select summer dates

Perfect Vermont Weekend!
We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to get married than The Tillerman. It was our dream to get married there and it was everything we hoped for and more! Kenzie was an absolute joy to work with. She was so lovely, thoughtful, and organized, and she made the entire planning process feel easy and seamless. The close knit team at the Tillerman is part of what makes it so special, everyone feels invested in what they do and there is a personal and thoughtful quality to the entire experience! The beauty and attention to detail throughout the inn is so special. We loved having the privacy of the inn for our family over the weekend and the grounds created the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The Tillerman gives an elevated but cozy, quintessential Vermont experience. As people who care deeply about food, it was truly incredible and one of the biggest standouts of the entire weekend. So many of our guests told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, and we couldn’t agree more! We are so grateful to the entire Tillerman team for helping us create such a meaningful and unforgettable weekend.

Absolutely perfect venue
We hosted our wedding at the Tillerman recently and can’t say enough about how magical it was. We truly couldn’t have found a more special place to celebrate with our loved ones. The food was incredible and we got SO many compliments from our guests on it. Everything about the inn is so beautiful and curated, and the grounds create the perfect backdrop. The staff were great to work with; and really collaborative and receptive to any ideas we had. We couldn’t recommend it any more!

Wedding at the Tillerman - 2026
We got married at the Tillerman and have stayed there multiple times previously. You cannot ask for a more beautiful, thoughtful, intentional space. The inn itself is old and full of character and the grounds are beautiful roaming barns and gardens, all of which is clearly maintained and worked on with a lot of care and attention. The staff are fun, passionate, knowledgeable, and its easy to get lost in good conversations with everyone over coffee or a glass of wine in the common room. We will certainly be back and cannot thank them enough for helping us make some truly once in a lifetime memories.

The dreamiest VT wedding venue!
The Tillerman is the PERFECT Vermont wedding venue. We live nearby and have always loved the Tillerman for its incredible food (their pizza is to die for) and immaculate, rustic, historical New England design vibes, so when we got engaged, we knew we wanted to celebrate at the Tillerman. It was the best decision we made. From the start, Kenzie and the entire team were on top of everything and always happy to answer questions from this overwhelmed bride. They helped us create a wedding experience even more magical than we imagined. We're continuing to hear from our guests how much they loved the Tillerman - the food in particular was sublime - and we're so, so, so grateful to Kenzie and the Tillerman for helping us execute our dream wedding. We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful, down-to-earth, perfectly Vermont wedding venue.

Perfect, Low-Stress Wedding Venue
We hosted a small wedding at the Tillerman in 2026 and it was absolutely perfect. The planning process was made so easy by Kenzie and team who put together guides and were in communication with us the whole time. The food was unbelievable, most guests said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had, and I loved the family style dining at long tables. From the woodland ceremony site to the adorable restaurant to the vintage barn, the Tillerman had the perfect vibes and we had to do extremely minimal decorating. Instead of picking out napkin colors and decorating a plain banquet hall, we got to focus on the ceremony and little details that mattered to us. If we had to go back and start over, we would easily choose the Tillerman again!
