“I highly recommend Naperville Florist! I worked with Alex, who was so kind! We were unsure of what florals we wanted to order, and she worked with us to make sure we covered all the bases and stayed in budget! She was timely and so professional. We picked up our flowers the day before the wedding and it was exactly what we wanted! We wanted simple and classy bouquets, and did pocket boutineers for the guys. Something Borrowed Blooms is the premier rent-and-return floral and décor company in the U.S., offering beautifully curated premium silk floral collections. Couples who choose to rent typically save up to 70% compared to the cost of traditional fresh flowers. Our collections include everything you need for your wedding day, from bridal and bridesmaid bouquets to boutonnieres, garlands, centerpieces, aisle markers, cake flowers, swags, flower combs and crowns, wedding décor, and more. Each design is thoughtfully curated to create a cohesive, elevated look from ceremony to reception.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We rented flowers through Something Borrowed Blooms and went with the Jane collection. Flowers were lower on our tier of priorities, so this worked well for us. It was easy to book, rent, and send them back. The one downside was that they changed what the collection looked like between when I booked the flowers and when I received them, and there was no option to go back to the original. They changed the bridesmaids’ flowers to be more floral, when I chose the Jane collection due to the greenery. As flowers weren’t specifically important to me, this wasn’t that big of a deal, but it didn’t feel great to not be able to get what we originally wanted and paid for. After reaching out to them about this issue, we did get a 50% discount on the bridesmaid flowers.”

The Local Petaler
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
  • Serves Carpentersville, IL

The Local Petaler is a wedding and event floral design studio based in St. Charles, IL. The business started as a part-time venture just over 4 years ago in my mom's garage and quickly blossomed (awful pun) into a full-fledged career. With at least 100 weddings produced under The Local Petaler and countless others worked on as a freelance designer for other companies, I've done a little bit of everything at every venue. You're in good hands!

“We loved working with Jen at the Local Petaler! Going into the planning process, I didn't have much of a vision for my wedding flowers, but Jen did a wonderful job of guiding me through the process, making recommendations, and answering all of my questions. On the wedding day, she went above and beyond! She's a true artist, and each space of the venue was beautifully done. She even put together little mini bouquets for the guests to take home at the end of the night - a great way to share the love and extend the life of the beautiful centerpieces! Thank you to the Local Petaler for making our wedding so beautiful!”

Phillip's Flowers & Gifts

  • Serves Carpentersville, IL

Seven family members are active in the Chicago floral business, which now reaches beyond Chicago, too. For nationwide flower delivery, Phillip's was recently named one of the Top 50 florists in North America, the company's online flower shops have earned it honors, and Phillip's has also been named an Illinois Retailer of the Year. Phillip's Flowers may be best known locally for its colorful floral shops, busy delivery vehicles, and custom wedding flowers. Still, in an age of giant corporations and mega-mergers, it's nice to know that some small family businesses like Phillip's are blooming, too.

“Phillip's Flowers is the absolute best! The flowers and decor were absolutely perfect! We worked with Laura Walsh and her team, and they were truly outstanding. At our first meeting, Laura guided us through every step of the process, took detailed notes, and asked questions to help us think through every detail. She even made arrangements based on our wedding colors. At our second meeting, she created more bouquets and centerpieces, which really allowed us to visualize what to expect on our wedding day. Laura was incredibly patient and understanding of last-minute changes. She is knowledgeable, flexible, and truly cares about her customers. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thanks for everything!”

Marie Pauly is the Owner of Wild Orchid Custom Floral Design and Tim Pauly, her husband is Co-Owner. Right from the beginning Tim and I were inseparable and it was obvious we would be together forever. After marrying in 1980, we moved to the small western suburbs to raise our children and opened “The Wildflower” shop in 1989, which specialized in silk arrangements and gifts. I strive to treat each couple as if they were my own family and work to make their big day everything they dreamed of and more. “The BEST most nerve wracking decision we made for our big day!!! I was so nervous to go this route but trusted my gut and I’m so glad I did. FM was incredible at walking me through the process and the full service package is worth WAY more than what you pay for it. I felt incredibly prepared for flower arrival from all the phone calls, videos, and paperwork they sent including detailed recipes and schedule for the week. We had some hiccups with Hurricanes and delayed shipping. They called me to initially tell me they would be a day early. Then when they didn’t arrive called again and explained they’d been held up in customs(obviously no ones fault). They then sent out an entire extra box of blooms to be sure we got everything we needed. Flowers were beautiful!!! Spending time with my sisters and family putting them together was truly the most fun wedding prep. My guests and coordinator truly couldn’t believe we had done all our own flowers, and the best part??! We saved ourselves literally thousands!! We would recommend FM to anyone for any occasion anytime.”

“Working with Jen for our October 2025 wedding was AMAZING!! From the moment we sent in an online inquiry, Jen was attentive, responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly detail oriented. She got us set up with a project planning doc immediately, and she was SO patient with us even when we were annoyingly indecisive about our vision lol. She met with us via Zoom to answer all of our questions when we were struggling to finish the document (and she is just as thorough and helpful via Zoom as she is via email). Once we placed our final order, Jen was communicative and thorough about the process of what happened next in terms of pickup, payment, etc. When we picked up our flowers, we were ASTOUNDED by how beautiful they were. I mean, we knew they would be beautiful, but truly, WOW. Aside from bouquets & boutonnieres, we also got garlands to use as centerpieces for our guests’ farmhouse tables, as well as small wooden circle magnets with a flower on top (we wood burned the j c into them ourselves) to use as favors. And they all looked incredible. An employee at our venue said that our decor was “the best she’s ever seen this place look,” and a large part of our decor was these flowers. I cannot recommend Jen and Wood and Word Blooms ENOUGH!!! PS bouquet photo is from today (1/5/26)!! The longevity is insane!”

We are a family business, everything started 2019. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management and I enjoy the process of planning events, decorations, scheduling, and timelines. I worked in the hotel business for almost 10 years until I realized that I wanted to start working in what I love and I'm passionate about. That's how I decided to open my own company!

“Where do I begin? Lori and her team were absolutely fabulous, she did so much work behind the scenes to make our day special. We had a highly personalized and very detailed set up with WildmanBT and Lori took care of all of it. I hired her based on great reviews from the venue and she was always available to answer questions via text, phone call or email whenever I had them. We started working together nearly a year and a half before the event so we can truly say she put on a great show! She was helpful, knew exactly how long certain processes would take and was so impressive managing other vendors and the timing we didn't even have to think of anything the day of. We had a large bridal party as well that she knew how to command and manage a room - our rehearsal of over 25 people took only 20 minutes! She also "had a guy" for all things wedding you could think of - I highly recommend reviewing her website as she provides florals, centerpieces, decorations and various other items and services. If she didn't provide the service or product directly she knew a trusted source we could go to to get it. We paid extra to have Lori and her team set up the centerpieces and our decorations, they were PERFECTLY laid out to our specs. I am very "type-A" and hard to impress so it was no small feat to manage all our expectations and Lori blew them out of the water. Highly recommend (photo credit to Emma Mullins Photography)”

“We first met Exquisite Events & Floral Design and Bukky Garcia a year before our wedding at the Bridal Expo in Itasca, IL. Bukky’s booth immediately caught our attention—not just because of its elegant setup, but also because of the warmth and professionalism she exuded. From the moment we began speaking with her, it was clear she had a deep passion for what she does, paired with a level of expertise that made us feel instantly at ease. One of the first things that drew us to Bukky was her cultured approach and understanding. As fellow Nigerians, we bonded over our shared background, and this connection was pivotal for us. My wife and I had always envisioned a beautiful Nigerian-American wedding, but we weren’t quite sure how to blend the two cultures seamlessly. Being the first in our immediate families to host a formal wedding, we felt a bit overwhelmed with incorporating Nigerian traditions and customs into the day. Bukky, however, understood our vision right away and reassured us that she would help us create something truly special. While we had already started gathering a few essentials for the big day, Bukky and Exquisite Events & Floral Design stepped in and took it to a whole new level. From coordinating the logistics to fine-tuning every detail, Bukky handled it all with remarkable efficiency. She didn’t just come on board as a wedding planner and designer—she became the guiding force that brought our dream wedding to life. As a groom, I was completely blown away by her attention to detail, impeccable organization, and the way she communicated every step of the process. It wasn’t just about decorations or logistics; it was about her ability to take our ideas and elevate them beyond what we ever thought possible. Bukky shattered every expectation we had, turning our vision into something truly magical. Her expertise and dedication ensured that nothing was overlooked, and her cadence and poise throughout the planning process were second to none. The day of the wedding was nothing short of breathtaking. Bukky and her team transformed our venue in a way that left us and our guests speechless. Even the venue staff remarked that they had never seen their space look the way it did that day. It was as though she had taken a blank canvas and painted the most beautiful fairytale scene. Every arrangement, every detail, every touch was executed to perfection. But beyond her incredible work, Bukky gave us something even more meaningful—family. What started as a professional relationship quickly grew into something much deeper. She genuinely cared about us, not just as clients but as individuals. Even now, long after the wedding, we still check in with her from time to time because that bond remains strong. Looking back, we are beyond grateful to have had Bukky and Exquisite Events & Floral Design by our side for one of the most important days of our lives. She didn’t just help us plan a wedding; she created an experience we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for someone who can take your vision and make it a reality while surpassing your wildest expectations, look no further than Bukky Garcia. Our wedding was a dream come true, and we owe so much of that to her extraordinary talent and heart.”
