EC Matrimony
Rating: 5.0 (37 reviews)
  • Offers 10 ceremony types
  • Starts at $150
  • Serves Coos Bay, OR for additional fees

A Portland native, and founder of EC Matrimony, Ernie has become an expert in all things weddings. Having recently stepped away from a career in Marketing/Public Relations, Ernie has taken his business from part-time to full-time in 2021 to help more couples realize their wedding dreams. Throughout his 18 years in the industry, and having performed over 3,000 weddings, it’s easy to see why he’s been featured in bridal magazines, national IG posts, and been featured in Huffington Post twice, and on realty TV. Add to that the dozens of national awards he’s won over the years, and you can tell why he’s in demand as a wedding officiant.

EC Matrimony was the perfect choice for our wedding officiant. Ernie, our officiant, was an outstanding and professional communicator, both visually and verbally. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and provided personalized attention to every detail of our ceremony. Ernie's warm and friendly demeanor put us at ease, and his attention to perfection ensured our special day went off without a hitch. We recommend EC Matrimony 1000 percent - Ernie is truly wonderful and we are so grateful for his role in making our wedding day so special.

Hi! My name is Anna Soco (she/her) and I'm the PNW's premiere Queer wedding officiant and believer in love. My work is rooted in the belief that love is alive, communal, and transformative - and because of that, your wedding ceremony should be, too! I work with soulmates of all kinds to create ceremonies that reflect what truly matters most to you. My clients (y'all!) are my "co" - each new client relationship is an opportunity to learn more about love, together. I adore, appreciate, and learn from each and every one of you. And I never quit rooting for my couples!

As a fellow wedding vendor, I’m very intentional about who I recommend to couples, and Anna is ALWAYS at the top of my list! She is incredibly communicative, caring, and attentive to the little details that make each couple’s love story unique. She takes the time to truly get to know her couples and weaves those details into a beautiful, meaningful ceremony that feels so personal to them. Beyond that, Anna leads with love, inclusivity, and genuine warmth. She has a way of making everyone around her feel welcomed, valued, and completely at ease. I couldn’t recommend SoCo & Co more highly — and I’m always happy to send couples her way!

Anthony is a licensed attorney who started officiating weddings in Oregon as a Judge (hence our company’s former name, The Wedding Judge). Matrimony Northwest has expanded in the 15 years since Anthony officiated his first wedding and has added two additional officiants—Emily and Henry. The three of them have officiated thousands of weddings in the Pacific Northwest in all different types of venues - back yards, courtrooms, coffee shops, beaches, mountain vistas, and more. Anthony is only the second person to have officiated a wedding in the Oregon State Capitol Building, and the only person to do so in modern times.

Awarded Best of Zola
From the very beginning, Matrimony Northwest stayed in touch and made sure we felt prepared for our ceremony. Anthony was warm and genuine throughout our interactions, and even though we met him for the first time on our wedding day, it instantly felt like we'd known each other forever. My partner and I eloped in Forest Park. The ceremony was on a trail within the park. Anthony had no problem with the venue and showed up early for us. His professionalism meant we didn't have to worry about a thing—he handled all the details so we could just enjoy the moment. Anthony truly made our ceremony special and personal, and we felt completely at ease having him lead our vows. If you're looking for a quality wedding officiant, Anthony is a gem and we highly recommend him to anyone planning their big day.

I create completely custom wedding ceremonies for couples who want something personal, meaningful, spiritual, and magical. With 20+ years of experience in mindfulness, ritual, public speaking, storytelling, and personal growth, I craft each ceremony around your story, values, humor, and vision. From heartfelt and simple to ancient traditions, handfasting, nature-based rituals, meditation, or even a mead ceremony, I love working with creative, adventurous, spiritual, fantasy-loving, and nontraditional couples.

Aaron was wonderful to work with and brought such a unique, enchanting energy to our Dragon Kids Camp. He was professional, dependable, easy to communicate with, and immediately connected with the kids. His flute playing, fantasy storytelling, magical Wizard items, and guided dragon meditation created an immersive experience that kept everyone engaged and excited. He has a natural ability to make an event feel truly magical, and I would happily recommend him for anyone looking for a memorable and imaginative performer.
