Matrimony Northwest

Anthony is a licensed attorney who started officiating weddings in Oregon as a Judge (hence our company’s former name, The Wedding Judge). Matrimony Northwest has expanded in the 15 years since Anthony officiated his first wedding and has added two additional officiants—Emily and Henry. The three of them have officiated thousands of weddings in the Pacific Northwest in all different types of venues - back yards, courtrooms, coffee shops, beaches, mountain vistas, and more. Anthony is only the second person to have officiated a wedding in the Oregon State Capitol Building, and the only person to do so in modern times.

Ceremonies are completely customizable because we want you to have the wedding you want. We are very flexible and can accommodate short-notice weddings - even same-day ceremonies. We can even accommodate couples who don't have witnesses. For couples who want a "courthouse"-type wedding without the courthouse setting, we offer our services at a significant discount. Anthony can officiate ceremonies in both English and Spanish. As a former judge and licensed attorney, Anthony is legally and ethically obligated to keep your information safe. Emily and Henry abide by the same standards.

    The perfect Officiant for our Elopement

    We cannot recommend Anthony enough! Planning our elopement all the way from Texas could have been incredibly stressful, but Anthony made the entire process seamless and easy to handle from afar. On the day of our ceremony, his genuine kindness immediately put us at ease and made us feel so comfortable. He brought the perfect blend of warmth and joyful energy to our intimate day.     Great Experience

    It is a bit overwhelming to plan a wedding in a state that you don’t live in. Anthony made it a great experience. He took care of all of the legal things making it easy to enjoy our day. My fiancé and I decided to get married just the two of us and when we were running behind with pictures at Bridal Veil Falls, Anthony met us there instead of our original plan of meeting at Latourell Falls. I was very happy with his flexibility and making it as easy for us as possible.

    Happily Ever After

    We had such a great experience working with Anthony from Matrimony Northwest. He was responsive to all our questions and really easy to talk to from the start. Anthony let us customize our ceremony exactly how we wanted it, and he showed up looking sharp in a nice suit. He's incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we felt secure about our personal information every step of the way. Our guests loved his work and said he did a fantastic job leading our ceremony.     Portland Elopement

    From the very beginning, Matrimony Northwest stayed in touch and made sure we felt prepared for our ceremony. Anthony was warm and genuine throughout our interactions, and even though we met him for the first time on our wedding day, it instantly felt like we'd known each other forever. My partner and I eloped in Forest Park. The ceremony was on a trail within the park. Anthony had no problem with the venue and showed up early for us. His professionalism meant we didn't have to worry about a thing—he handled all the details so we could just enjoy the moment. Anthony truly made our ceremony special and personal, and we felt completely at ease having him lead our vows. If you're looking for a quality wedding officiant, Anthony is a gem and we highly recommend him to anyone planning their big day.

    Small ceremony, happy customer

    We knew we had found the right officiant for our wedding after speaking with Anthony. He made the planning process easy with clear communication and an organized approach with examples that took the stress out of one of the biggest decisions we had to make. On our wedding day, Anthony was flexible, rolling with our timeline adjustments. He was dressed very well, friendly, professional and made us feel comfortable. His experience really showed through. We have several sample ceremonies, vows, and readings. If you want to modify them, we’re more than happy to oblige. We can work on creating a ceremony that’s just right for you, or if you already have a ceremony in mind, we’ll gladly use it. We can also write something highlighting your unique relationship, if you’d like. Anthony, Emily, and Henry want you to have the wedding you want.
We perform both English and Spanish language weddings, and are happy to work with an event translator for other languages.

Yes! We're happy to consult with you until your ceremony is perfect for you, free of any extra charges. We offer a wide variety of sample ceremonies that you're free to mix and match, and are happy to go outside that box if that's what you're looking for. Our officiants are experienced writers, and we want you to have the ceremony that's right for you.
Absolutely! We're also happy to perform legal marriages and elopements in preparation for other ceremonies. If this is the case, we'll give you a discount if you book us for a second ceremony!
