About SPARK Ceremonies

SPARK Ceremonies

Master Wedding Celebrant

I’m a dog-loving, candy-obsessed celebrant in Vancouver, WA with a soft spot for great stories, bold personalities, and weddings with a little edge. I thrive on big feelings, loud laughs, and ceremonies that feel alive. People tell me my energy is magnetic—warm, vibrant, and deeply empathetic—and I bring all of that into everything I do. I’m a natural storyteller who listens closely, remembers the details, and connects quickly, which makes my work feel natural, intuitive, and genuinely human.

My ceremonies lean witchy, bold, non-religious, and custom-built for the beautifully unconventional. I craft fully personalized, inclusive ceremonies for queer and alternative couples who want something magical, meaningful, infused with humor, and animal-friendly. I honor every relationship and every creature—two legs, four legs, no legs, or wings—and create space for rituals, symbolism, and connection that feel unapologetically you. Nothing templated. Nothing expected. Just real, dynamic, intentional ceremony energy.

In three words: Creative, Empathetic, Fun

Kiki was absolutely amazing. We hired her as both our wedding celebrant and day-of coordinator, and she DELIVERED. She’s incredibly experienced and guided us through the process with ease. Our ceremony script was beautiful—it was so heartfelt and intimate. We also received so many compliments from friends and family about her positivity and how effortlessly she managed all the moving parts of the day. We highly recommend her and hope she can make your wedding just as smooth and special.

Aw, you guys—I’m blushing over here! Thank you. I loved stepping into the coordinator role and bringing everything together behind the scenes—not gonna lie, I’d forgotten how much I love planning and coordinating. But you chose me as your celebrant first, and I’m so, so glad the ceremony was everything you hoped for. And hearing that your people felt my positivity and how everything flowed? That’s really just so sweet of you to say. Thank you so much for this review—it truly made my day.

Ed and I are in our seventies and this was a second marriage for both of us. However we have a history that goes back 50 years and we wanted a wedding that celebrated both our "young" relationship and our older reconnection without diminishing or disrespecting our marriages to other people in the intervening years. Our adult children were going to attend our wedding! Kiki understood the nuances of our intentions and guided us through the process of creating exactly the ceremony we hoped for. She is warm, non-judgmental, creative, professional and very organized in her approach; she has lots of good ideas and resources and she is encouraging and supportive of you developing your own. She was perfect for us and we highly recommend her.

Leslie & Ed, when the stars circle back after 50 years and land exactly where they’re supposed to, that’s pure magic!! I’m so grateful you chose me to stand with you in that moment—thank you for the opportunity to celebrate your love with you, and for this lovely review!

Kiki is the real deal. She brings so much warmth and sincerity to her ceremonies, and you can feel how deeply she cares about getting every detail right. She’s put in an incredible amount of training, and it shows — she’s confident, grounded, and genuinely joyful to work with. Spark Ceremonies is lucky to have her at the helm!

Kiki was absolutely amazing. She put in so much work to make sure the day was fully representative of us and our relationship. You can really tell that she cares and loves what she does. She gave us resources after the fact like making name changing easier and such. She even went the extra mile and invited her daughter to our ceremony because we didn’t have enough witnesses to our small ceremony because we were new to the are. We cannot say enough good things about Kiki. Book her and book her quick!!

Thank you so much for this incredible review! Working with you two was an absolute delight — your ceremony was full of heart, humor, and all the little details that make a love story feel real. I’m thrilled it felt authentically “you,” because that’s always the goal. I’m also glad the post-ceremony resources were helpful. If there’s a way to make the whole experience smoother and more joyful, I’m going to do it. And bringing my daughter to witness was truly my pleasure — she adored you both and was honored to help make the moment happen. Thank you again for trusting me with your day. Keep shining, keep laughing, and keep celebrating the SPARK that sets you apart. ✨

My partner and I found Kiki, last minute, for our Oregon elopement. Our schedule did not allow her much time to prepare but, she absolutely nailed it! Not only did she make the process easy and memorable, she stood with her back to a cascading waterfall during a cold and rainy October day. Despite the less than favorable weather conditions, Kiki delivered a beautifully tailored ceremony. We wouldn’t change a thing and, should we ever renew our vows, we could think of no one better to support us. Thanks Kiki, you’re amazing!

Thank you so much for this!! That day was pure magic — the forest so lush and green, the leaves just starting to turn, the rain shimmering on everything it touched. Rain on a wedding day is an old blessing. It nourishes what’s already there and helps it root even deeper. It was an honor to stand with you in that moment. It was an honor to stand with you in that moment and I’d be honored to do so again someday!! 🌙✨

Asking a friend or family member can feel meaningful, but it also puts a lot of pressure on someone who’s already emotional that day. A ceremony needs someone who can stay steady, guide the energy, and keep things flowing even when the feelings get big. I spend real time getting to know my couples so the ceremony feels personal, grounded, and genuinely you two—and I bring the training, presence, and calm confidence that help everyone breathe and enjoy the moment.
Short answer: Nope. Long answer: I’m happy to perform secular and spiritual weddings, but full-on religious ceremonies just aren’t my thing. It’s not about discrimination—it’s about authenticity. You deserve an officiant who genuinely connects with your beliefs, not someone awkwardly reciting First Corinthians like they’re reading a script in a high school play. That’s just not me. As for non-denominational ceremonies, that’s really just a fancy way of saying religious but without picking a team. If that’s what you’re after, I’m probably not the right fit—but I’d be happy to point you in the direction of someone who is!
I love to! It’s always an honor to work with LGBTQ+ couples. I’m a proud supporter of Marriage Equality for All. I don’t discriminate, period. Race, culture, gender, sexual orientation—who you are and who you love will always be welcomed and celebrated in the ceremonies I create. So if you’re looking for an officiant who’s 100% on board with making your wedding joyful, authentic, and you—I’m your person.
I strongly encourage rehearsals. Things just run smoother when we’ve walked through them at least once. An in-person rehearsal is available as an add-on (subject to availability and travel fees). I’ll take the reins, get everyone in formation, and make sure the everyone knows what they’re doing. And while I'm happy to work with your planner or venue staff, having been a planner - and with my mild trust issues ;) - I prefer to run the rehearsal myself. If something goes sideways, I’m the one standing up there with you, making sure it all comes together. Plus, you'll be hard pressed to find another officiant who loves rehearsals as much as me!
I’ll tailor my outfit to fit the colors and vibe of your wedding. Casual wedding? I’ll keep it laid-back. Something formal? I’ll dress to match the occasion. Themed wedding? Yes, please! I’m more than happy to collaborate on the perfect look. Rest assured, I won’t show up in anything that clashes or steals the spotlight (unless, of course, you want me in drag!!)
I take care of that for you! After the ceremony, I’ll submit your marriage license by mail to the proper jurisdiction. Most counties give me between 5 and 10 days to do this, but I don’t procrastinate—I send it off within 3 days of your wedding. Why do I insist on handling it myself? a) I have trust issues. b) It’s one less thing for you to stress about. c) Did I mention I have trust issues?? (LOL, but seriously.) In all honesty, you’ve got enough on your plate. Let me make sure your license gets where it needs to go—so you can just focus on being married.
