Hiawathia Floral Design Co
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Starts at $2,800
  • Serves Elwood, IN

At Hiawathia Floral Design Co., we believe wedding flowers should do more than decorate a space. They should tell your story. My journey into floristry began by sharing flowers with my grandmother during the final stages of Parkinson’s disease, where I saw firsthand how flowers bring beauty, comfort, joy, and connection. That experience still shapes how I design today. Known for Fearless Color, Modern Romance, and Artful Storytelling, we create expressive florals inspired by fashion, art, movement, and each couple’s unique style. From sculptural bouquets and statement installations to immersive reception florals, every detail is thoughtfully designed to create a cohesive celebration that feels personal, meaningful, and distinctly yours.

“Hiawathia Floral Design Co. was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. They were incredibly time efficient, responding promptly through both phone calls and emails, and were always polite and professional in their communication. The quality of their work was truly spectacular - the bouquets, centerpieces, and other floral arrangements they created were polished, neat, and exceeded our expectations. When we needed a last minute additional service, they were able to respond quickly and deliver exactly what we needed within our desired timeframe and budget. We could not have been happier with Hiawathia Floral Design Co. and highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding.”

Oberer's Flowers
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Elwood, IN

Oberer's Flowers beginning goes back to the 1890s when Carl Oberer, an immigrant from Germany bought a plot of land north of Dayton on Troy Pike and started growing vegetables. He grew lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, and sold them at market in downtown Dayton. This was called "truck gardening" which contrary to common belief has nothing to do with trucks at all. An old meaning of the word "truck", derived from the French word torquer, is "to barter or exchange". It wasn't long before Carl gained reputation for having the best tasting vegetables in the city.

“We chose to do our wedding florals with Oberer’s & it was wonderful! After seeing so many wedding quotes, it was a relief to find a reasonably priced option that offered flexibility, customization, and great customer service. We worked with Brandalyn, who was WONDERFUL—easy to work with, listened to our ideas & brought our vision to life. We also really appreciated their flexibility. When we received our initial quote and put down our deposit, they made it clear that we could still adjust quantities closer to the wedding if our table count or needs changed. (Before the 30 day out deadline) That made planning so much easier because we had more time to figure out what we needed especially when we put down our deposit so far in advance & werent 100% set on anything. Everything turned out absolutely beautiful, and we were so happy with the flowers. We would absolutely recommend Oberer’s for any occasion!! (We don’t have our photographers photos yet so here’s some video screenshots. We had a pergola with florals that we repurposed for our sweetheart table, two arrangements of roses for the outside barrels, bride bridesmaid bouquets, an arrangement for the entrance table with card box/guest book, small arrangements for all guest tables)”

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (110 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Elwood, IN

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We were on a strict budget for our wedding. I knew that florals would be the best way to save on some of the huge wedding costs. I found out about Flower Moxie from googling where I would get wholesale flowers. I was immediately hooked once I saw the flower options, tutorials, and worksheets to help plan out my special day. I am very big on organization, and this website had resources for every step of the way. I found the perfect combination of flowers for my boho wedding. I ordered the flowers about 2 months before our big day. It was a destination wedding, so I was checking into our airbnb on the day the flowers were arriving. I had them scheduled to be delivered at the Fedex holding center near by. I thought the company only used Fedex shipping based on my research. I went into full panic mode when I saw the flowers had been shipped by UPS. I immediately called UPS and Fedex, and to be honest I was stunned at the behavior on the other side of the phone. The flowers were still in transit, and no one would help me with rerouting. I called Flower Moxie to see if they could change things on their side as they were the sender. Luis answered the phone and it felt like I finally had someone looking out for me. I had already spent 4 hours on the phone with the shipping companies and gotten nowhere. Luis said he was on it and not to worry. I ordered enough flowers for 18 centerpieces, 70 bud vases, 8 bouquets, and 1 flower arch. Needless to say, it was quite the ordeal to reroute everything. Over the next 48 hours, Luis kept in constant contact with me about the progress of the shipment. I know I was on the phone for at least 6 hours with this ordeal, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had spent about 15 hours talking to UPS, Fedex, florists, and customs to get me my flowers. He made me feel calm and taken care of. Everyone was coming to me with questions and concerns the entire wedding week, and I can't express how it felt to have someone have my back, and take an extremely big tasks off my plate. I would absolutely recommend this company for DIY brides. And I hope this review is seen by Flower Moxie to highlight an outstanding employee with excellent customer service. In an age when it takes time and multiple attempts in order to talk to a person on the phone, I am so appreciative of the effort that was given by Luis for my wedding day. He made me feel like it was an important event for him too. Thank you Luis for making my wedding dreams come true! My sister also mentioned you in her MOH wedding speech. We were all impressed :)”

“I truly cannot recommend Gracie Mae Events enough. There honestly are not enough words to express how grateful I am for Maggie and everything she did for our wedding. I originally booked her just a few months before the wedding for bridal party flowers and a few bud vases. About a month before the wedding, another vendor fell through, and I called Maggie completely panicked asking if there was any way she could take on even more. Without hesitation, she made it work. Not only is Maggie unbelievably talented, but she is one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve met. She cares deeply about her couples and pours so much passion into what she does. From the moment we started working together, she made me feel like more than just another client. Then wedding day came, and somehow she exceeded every expectation I had. The florals were absolutely breathtaking — truly some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. I still tear up looking back at photos because everything she created was so perfect and she brought my vision to life. Her communication, professionalism, creativity, and heart are unmatched. If you are considering booking Gracie Mae Events, do it. One of the BEST decisions you could ever make when wedding planning! Maggie is an absolute gift.”

Ethereal Florals
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Elwood, IN

Every person has innate interests and passions, and I recognized from a very young age that creating beauty in my surroundings was something that I wanted to be a part of my life forever. Shortly after I learned to write, I could be found embellishing my letters with little hand-sketched swirls and flowers. Making flower crowns from dandelions I found outside was a staple pastime of my childhood. This inner drive to create has evolved as I grew older and when I was first introduced into the world of floral design in 2016, I quickly realized that I wanted flower arranging to be a part of my life in some way from then on.

“Ethereal Florals was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding day! From start to finish, communication was timely, consistent, and incredibly helpful. Ashlyn was so awesome to work/collaborate with and sweet when she personally delivered all our stunning florals. The attention to detail, artistic flair, and whimsical, unique designs were beyond anything we could have imagined. My bouquet in particular was more gorgeous than I ever could have dreamed up - we received so many compliments on all the florals and how beautiful they made our special day. Ethereal Florals truly went above and beyond to make our wedding vision a reality. We are so grateful for her exceptional service and beautiful work!”

“This box is not long enough for the praise I have for Megan & Braden. What they've created and what they do at Nutmeg Designs is unlike anything I've seen anywhere else. Megan's floral designs are immaculate, but it doesn't stop there. She curated every part of the environment, designing it to reflect the hearts of my partner and I and what we care about. She and Braden also helped out with so many other details along the way and helped us stay on schedule in a non-stressful way. They know everything about weddings and are expert trouble-shooters. Having Nutmeg curate my day was hands down the best decision I made in my wedding planning. Megan was able to take the vision I described, fill the gaps as only a true artist can, and bring it to life. When I look back on my wedding day, I remember how her creations colored every moment.”

I'm a second generation florist with a passion for weddings. Getting to know my clients and helping to create beautiful flowers tailored for their style and needs is the core of what I do. We are professional, creative, and relaxed. We take an easy approach, no high pressure sells, or fussiness. I'm a wife and mother of three. When not working I enjoy movies, and getting creative in the kitchen. I'm addicted to accessories especially scarves and colorful Chuck Taylors .

“Deborah is FANTASTIC! She approached our "any color goes, just make it springy" brief with great enthusiasm. We left a lot of the fine details up to her, and I couldn't be happier with the choices she made. Deborah even coordinated different bouquets to match each of the bridesmaid's dresses, as well as a special lapel corsage for my bridesfolk wearing a suit. She reminded us during plannning not to sweat the small stuff, and always kept a can do attitude. Her team was incredible in setting up, flipping the room, and cleaning up at the end of the night. She even came herself, shortly post foot surgery and using a scooter. We couldn't have been any happier with A Bride's Choice.”

Michelle started her career as a lawyer, but could not resist the pull of her family’s legacy—flowers! A third-generation florist, some of her earliest childhood memories include processing flowers at her grandmother’s shop in northern Indiana. She grew her love of flowers working along side her mom in creating amazing wedding florals for couples all over Indiana. Ask her and she will tell you that she was trained by the best! She brings her passion and years of experience in this art to the Owner/Creative Director role for One of a Kind Events.

“Michelle is amazing. She did our month of planning and could not have been better. She did all of the last minute coordination and the day went off without a hitch. I can’t recommend her enough. One of a kind also did our flowers and they were beautiful. They captured exactly what I wanted and weee so easy to work with.”
