Documentary wedding videography prioritizing candid moments, real laughter, and timeless narrative editing. Crafting cinematic heirlooms for modern couples across the Washington D.C. metro and beyond.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better videographer for our wedding! From start to finish, Andi was professional, dedicated, and incredibly thoughtful, ensuring that our special day was captured beautifully. Right after we signed the contract, she sent us a detailed questionnaire to get to know us as a couple—our story, our style, and the specific moments we wanted to highlight. This level of preparation reassured us that she truly cared about making the video personal and meaningful. About a month before the wedding, she proactively reached out to request the venue’s floor plan, demonstrating her commitment to planning ahead and making sure every shot was perfectly thought out. On the wedding day, Andi arrived an hour early to get familiar with the space and even took some breathtaking outdoor shots before the festivities began. Her presence was so natural and unobtrusive, allowing us to fully enjoy the day while she captured everything seamlessly. Throughout the event, she worked tirelessly to document not just the big moments but also the little details and emotions that made our wedding unique. One of the things that makes Andi truly stand out is her background as a former reporter and documentary filmmaker. Her storytelling skills are evident in every frame—she has a keen eye for capturing genuine emotions and weaving them together into a narrative that feels raw, real, and deeply personal. She didn’t just record our wedding; she told our story in the most beautiful and authentic way. When we received our wedding video, we were absolutely blown away. It was beyond anything we could have imagined—every moment was beautifully filmed and edited, creating a cinematic and heartfelt masterpiece that we will cherish forever. What truly stood out was Andi’s creative touch—she included interesting and unexpected moments that showcased her artistic eye and deep understanding of human connection. Most importantly, the video felt authentically us—it captured the emotions, the joy, and the essence of our relationship perfectly. We are beyond grateful for Andi’s work, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented and passionate wedding videographer. If you want someone who truly cares about your story and will go above and beyond to create a stunning wedding film, Andi is the one to choose!”

“Words cannot describe the AMAZING job Arcadia Pictures did from start to finish!! From the time I requested more information about their services, Liliya, always super sweet and helpful, remained in contact with me and always responded promptly to my emails. Arcadia covered both our engagement photo session and our June wedding/reception and was absolutely phenomenal! We had Leo for our photographer and Alex for our videographer. They were very professional, prompt, easy going, fun to work with, and they worked very well together! They truly enjoy what they do! Also, I will admit that I felt like a celebrity when they arrived to my sister’s house on our wedding day and began working right away to capture our Forever Day. Then the pictures and videos—speechless . Arcadia’s production team was phenomenal with producing amazing pictures and videos for us! I cannot stop looking at them, for all of the wonderful feelings and emotions I had that day come rushing back in that moment, I’ve cried so many times looking at them. If you want someone to capture your special day and in a way that is most meaningful and unforgettable, Arcadia Pictures should be your choice without a doubt.! Again, thank you so much Arcadia for everything! Charles and I are forever grateful and blessed!”

“Hiring Chris as our videographer was the best decision we made for our wedding! From the very beginning he was so easy to work with. He listened to our vision for our day, provided suggestions and worked with us to put together a package that was perfect for what we wanted. Out of all the videographers we spoke to, his videography package was the best value and tailored to exactly what we wanted. On our wedding day Chris was on time and he fit seamlessly in, as my photographers were taking photos I barely noticed Chris in the background filming the whole time. He really just meshed in with the day and created the most amazing wedding video. He presented us with the video so quickly even before my wedding photos were released! It was absolutely beautiful, the film had us in tears! He captured our day perfectly and edited the film with seamless transitions. As a last minute request, I asked for a vertical short instagram reel. He promptly put together a quick film for me to post that was perfect to add to my instagram. We are beyond thankful that we chose Chris as our videographer for our special day!”

“I was nervous about engagement photos, having only seen them online of people I didn't know. The posing and locations didn't feel like us so when we reached out to Twenty Seven Films we didn't expect much. Andrew was so personable and communicative, he managed to weasel out some of our favorite memories together and suggested a local historic town with candid photos. It was, in our opinion, an awesome opportunity and we had so much fun with it! So much so that we wanted him to assist with our wedding photos. Another successful bout of (maybe nontraditional) candid photos of the people we love. So incredibly grateful to have found them! The communication, respect, scheduling finesse, and handling of our precious moments was all top tier; the breakdown of pricing and optional features were honest and upfront. I never once doubted Andrew's ability or the company's reputation. While we don't want to have to pay for another wedding, would gladly hire them again.”

Growing up with a passion for skateboarding provided me with a creative view of the world around me. I've been taking pictures professionally for about 8 years and I'm inspired by the music I listen to and those that I love being creative with. I have also photographed many different subjects, scenes, and moments! There's a picture around every corner.

“Here’s a polished review in the same tone: --- Hiring Steve was one of the best last-minute decisions we made for our wedding. We booked him pretty late in the process and were so lucky he had an opening! We had a simple, straightforward call ahead of time to go over logistics, and honestly gave him pretty minimal direction — but he absolutely nailed it. He captured everything so beautifully, from sweeping skyline shots of DC to the smallest, most intimate moments throughout the day. The variety and thoughtfulness in what he filmed really stood out. What impressed us most was how efficient and unobtrusive he was. We barely even noticed he was there, yet somehow he caught everything that mattered. The highlight reel and the full-length video are beyond perfect — sweet, touching, funny, and completely “us.” Watching them feels like stepping right back into the day. We truly can’t wait to share these videos with our future kids and grandkids — they’re the kind you’ll watch over and over again. If you’re on the fence about hiring a videographer, book Steve. You will not regret it.”

At Midmay Films, Elis Llinares documents weddings on Super 8 film, creating nostalgic, cinematic keepsakes rooted in presence, emotion, and the quiet beauty of real moments, preserved as living memories to return to for years to come.

“We truly cannot say enough good things about Elis. From the very beginning, she understood our vision in a way that felt rare and deeply intentional. On the wedding day itself, she was such a calming, effortless presence — never intrusive, always in the right place at the right time, capturing moments we didn’t even realize were happening. The final Super 8 film absolutely took our breath away. It feels timeless, nostalgic, and so full of soul — like a living memory rather than a video. Every frame feels thoughtful and emotional, and somehow they managed to capture not just how our day looked, but exactly how it felt. Watching it back instantly transported us to those moments: the quiet in-between glances, the laughter, the joy, the warmth. If you’re drawn to storytelling, artistry, and something truly meaningful and one-of-a-kind, this is your sign to book Elis - Midmay Films. Choosing her was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and this film is something we will cherish for the rest of our lives.”

Love Per Second

“Incredible communication and also great personalities from all team members. Even if you're camera shy, they make you feel so at ease, and your photos will come out like you're the most photogenic person in the world. They will hype you without being phony, and they're very sweet and encouraging. My now-husband, who tends to not like having photos taken of himself, absolutely loved our experiences with Love Per Second. They will direct your poses from start to finish, if you have no idea how to act in front of a camera. They even also helped me out with a first-look prank that I had planned wherein his brother (also a groomsman) would surprise him in a white dress before I came out for the real thing, and it went so smoothly, and we got awesome photos/videos from it. They also got all the photos from our photo shot list (they'll send you a sample/template for you to compile your own), and they were not in the way at all. Even with my husband having a huge family (8 siblings!), we got all the photos we wanted. They also arrived early for our getting-ready photos and stayed until the end of our event. Their team of 5 (for the package we purchased) felt like the perfect amount. They have different packages and tiers of services. I highly recommend that you also get your engagement photos taken with them so that you can acclimate yourself with their process! Their product really emphasizes the difference between a professional, artistic photo/video team and just some people with a fancy point-and-shoot camera. Davina is also super cool/fun and I actually really want to be friends with her lol.”
