“From the moment we started working with Something Borrowed Blooms, their communication was effective, speedy, and extremely helpful. The quality of their work was high-end, absolutely beautiful, and extremely effective in elevating the look and feel of our wedding. When they didn't have enough of the simple centerpieces we had originally requested, they upgraded us to even nicer centerpieces at no additional cost. They were incredibly flexible and made sure we had everything we needed, even accommodating my preference for email communication when I wasn't always the best at taking phone calls. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (110 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Idaho Springs, CO

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

“We used the “Full Monty” package for our wedding and DIY-ed all our florals. Our florist, Hattie, did a great job listening to our vision and responded to all of our questions quickly! We explored options together, and she was able to help us get so much more than we would have with a florist and with the exact color palette we were looking at. Neither of us are great at design/DIY, but we felt very supported by the plethora of tutorials, recipes, and videos to create our flowers. With our florals, we made 6 pillar arrangements, 2 bridal bouquets, 8 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 corsages, a boutonniere, 2 medium centerpieces, and close to 100 bud vases. My maid of honor made my bridal bouquet, which made it even more special than it would have if a florist had made it. The flowers arrived at our AirBnb without any issues, and we lost barely any florals! I will say if DIY-ing flowers, whether with Flower Moxie or not, make sure you have people to help - especially with getting the florals out of the wrapping, in buckets, and cutting stems. We had our crews help, and it still looked overwhelming at first, so I can see how it can be stressful. We had our day-of-coordinator set everything up florals-wise on our wedding day, and everything looked GORGEOUS. If you have the people to help and are looking for more florals for less money, we would definitely recommend DIY-ing with flower moxie”

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

“I was so grateful to have found Jen while going through our flower-picking-process. We got a quote for real flowers to start and it was way out of our budget. When we started looking for 'fake' flowers, I knew I wanted them to look as real as possible. I must have looked at 10 different vendors across CT and MA, and as soon as I saw Wood & Word Blooms website I was sold! Her bouquets are one of a kind, each and every piece was perfect for our wedding. She was so supportive and helpful in the color picking process, I changed my mind a few times but she never batted an eye. She got us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier. If you're on the fence, just go with Jen!”

“Keri is wonderful to work with. I preserved my bouquet so I have her beautiful flowers forever! My favorite part of her work was the ceremony, my jaw dropped when I walked around the corner to see our chuppah. Keri arrived at the venue rehearsal with samples in hand and two vases I was originally deciding between, so I could see the flowers in the event space and make any changes if I wanted. Keri was such a pleasure to work with and was always quick to answer questions and consistently checked in leading up to our wedding day!”

Being chosen to bring a couples ideas to life is an honor and one that brings us so much joy.

“I had the pleasure of working with these two ladies for my wedding, and overall, I truly believe they are wonderful people to work with. They have great style and genuinely want to do the very best for their clients! When I first met with them during the beginning stages of planning, they were willing to meet with me in person to discuss the vision I had for my wedding. They were excited and eager to hear my ideas while also bringing ideas of their own, which I really appreciated. As a bride, I did find myself wanting a little more communication throughout the planning process. As my wedding day got closer, my anxiety increased, and I personally would have appreciated more updates and communication along the way. I don’t mean that negatively—it was simply something that would have helped me feel more comfortable and confident. I shared my Pinterest board and vision with them, and I believe they brought several of my ideas to life beautifully. I did found myself wanting some different details at the reception that i thought we discussed, although I understand this may have been influenced by my budget and what I was able to afford. Overall, I received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful everything looked. I especially loved the florals they created for my bouquet. I honestly wish I could have afforded to incorporate more of those same flowers throughout the reception because they were absolutely beautiful! They created my bouquet and my family’s boutonnieres for our elopement ceremony in Moab, Utah, and they were gorgeous. They even helped me figure out how to travel with the flowers for 6–7 hours, which I really appreciated. They also provided eucalyptus leaves throughout our wedding reception in Akron. I have attached pictures from both events. One thing I would recommend discussing ahead of time is availability on the actual wedding day. These ladies took on my wedding as well as another wedding that same weekend and had already committed to being present at the other wedding. They were still able to organize the florals and decorations for my wedding, which I greatly appreciated, but they were not able to be at my reception. I knew and agreed to this ahead of time, so it was not unexpected; however, there were a few things I feel may have gone more smoothly if they had been able to be there personally. There was also a lot happening for them that weekend, and I am genuinely grateful they were still able to help with so many aspects of our wedding. I loved how excited and invested they were in making our day special. One area that was difficult for me was cleanup the following day. We were asked to organize and separate the different pieces that belonged to them, but I found the process confusing, which added stress during an already emotional and exhausting time. Overall, I would absolutely recommend working with these wonderful ladies! My biggest advice for future brides would be to communicate exactly what you envision, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to share your feelings or concerns throughout the planning process. I would also recommend discussing pricing in detail and making sure you understand the cost of everything you want included, as wedding expenses can add up very quickly. Despite some of the challenges, I truly appreciated their creativity, excitement, and willingness to help make our wedding days special. I am thankful for the beautiful florals and decorations they provided.”

“I cannot reccomend Kat enough. A coworker relationship turned into friendship that FLOURISHED into her making my floral dreams for my wedding come to absolute life. She is so talented, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. I showed her pictures and she ran with it. Her dedication to her clients doesn’t go unnoticed at all. When my vendor who made our faux flowers showed up late and the guys bouts looked like absolute trash, she took the time (because she had leftovers from what she made) to go make 3 other bouts so that our dream came true. Her dedication to sustainability is top notch! I am so happy I chose her to be our florist! Her partner Marissa- though we didn’t use her for our wedding, I have inquired with her for cupcakes before. She has the best ideas for cupcakes and is so so friendly! As a team their day of coordination is top notch. They are the REAL DEAL! Make sure to hire them for you big day. You won’t regret it!”

I’ve been in the wedding flower world for almost two decades, which means I’ve seen every trend, every bouquet panic, and every last-minute flower emergency — and handled them all with floral finesse and a little sparkle. My style? Think whimsical, seasonal, and a little bit wild. I design wedding flowers that feel like you. Whether you're vibing with romantic mountain meadow or moody enchanted forest, I’m here to make it bloom. Based in Denver but always up for an adventure to Aspen, Beaver Creek, Steamboat, or Breck. Let’s make some magic — and throw in some peonies while we’re at it.

“Zalea Flowers was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our very first phone call, their communication was thorough, kind, and honest - they truly listened to our vision and provided thoughtful recommendations to bring it to life. The end result was a romantic, luxurious, and fun floral design that exceeded our expectations and was worth every penny. The gorgeous flowers they created for our Indian wedding in Vail were the perfect complement to the vibrant colors and intricate details of our celebration. We are so grateful to the Zalea team for helping to make our special day even more magical.”

“We are so grateful we chose Privé Events as our wedding florist. Working with Sam Hoffman was truly a game changer. Neither of us knows much about flowers, and we were honestly a bit overwhelmed at the thought of having to figure out floral design. But Sam made the process feel so easy and approachable. She met us exactly where we were. We knew we wanted something simple, elegant, and cost-conscious, and she delivered on every front without ever making us feel like we had to compromise on beauty or vision. Sam never made us feel pressured to “reinvent the wheel,” and instead helped us create something that felt natural, timeless, and just right for us. The communication was clear and low-stress from start to finish, and the end result completely exceeded our expectations. Privé Events provided everything from bouquets and aisle markers to greenery on the venue’s wooden beams, a stunning floral chuppah, and gorgeous bud vases and table arrangements for the reception. Every detail was thoughtfully done and beautifully placed. It all came together perfectly and really elevated the atmosphere of the entire day. We can't recommend Privé Events and Sam enough, especially for couples looking for someone who gets it and can bring your vision to life without stress or pressure. She made it feel effortless and fun, and we truly loved working with her.”

Ladybird Lusk

Hi! My name is Ysabella and I have been in the florist industry for 4 years now. I started out of my small shop and have grown into doing mostly weddings and events. I love working with brides and helping them turn their vision into reality! Every wedding is so unique and truly different, these small differences are what I believe makes each wedding stand out and what I am here for!

“I was absolutely blown away by my wedding florals provided by Lady Bird Lusk! They were so beautiful and completely exceeded my expectations in every way! My only regret is not preserving my bouquet after the wedding so I could keep it forever. From the first time I talked to Ysabella on the phone it was clear she understood my vision and was able to make a mood board for me that was exactly what I had in mind. She was willing to do a few calls with me over the year of planning as I wanted to change and add things. She helped me think through how to make a large brick wall behind our head table more beautiful since it would be a focal point. She had the idea of trying out a floral frame over the table along with the string lights and hanging greenery that I wanted on the wall. I actually didn't know what to except and when I saw it I was truly in love with how stunning it looked. All of the bud vase florals were clearly so carefully hand picked and unique. The Arch at our ceremony was also stunning and matched our moody vibe perfectly. What makes it even better is Lady Bird Lusk was about half as expensive as some of the other quotes I received for flowers! She really is absolutely amazing at making your vision come to life and making it better than you even envisioned. Plus she's so sweet and fun to work with. Highly reccommend!”

We can't wait to meet you and begin your floral journey. -Serena Weddings are such a beautiful and personal event, it is always such an honor to be able to express the couples vision through floral design.

“Serena was amazing to work with! We had a great initial call with her where her passion, knowledge, and creativity were so apparent. Her design boards and proposals were gorgeous, and she was so prompt and professional in updating them with feedback. I really struggled with the design aspect of wedding planning and trying to pick colors and articulate what I liked. Serena was so kind and patient and really good at deciphering what I was trying to say, always offering to hop on a call or talk more. She even managed to incorporate a lily that I was not sure I was a big fan of but that was really important to my husband in a way that was so dreamy and beautiful. The florals were absolutely gorgeous, and she had great ideas for repurposing them and making sure they were utilized in the various spaces in our venue seamlessly.”

“I originally planned to do my own flowers for our wedding, and I am so glad we changed course and worked with Brandon. From the very beginning, he struck the perfect balance between listening and guiding—giving me space to explore what I liked while shaping the vision with his expertise. The result was beyond anything I could have imagined. My bouquet was absolutely stunning, and the table arrangements were thoughtful, cohesive, and perfectly aligned with the look and feel I had hoped for. Everything felt intentional and elevated without being overdone. Brandon didn’t just execute an idea—he brought it to life in a way that felt uniquely us. Truly, the only downside was not being able to keep my bouquet forever. I cannot recommend Brandon highly enough if you want someone who understands vision, artistry, and how to make your wedding feel incredibly special.”
