I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

“Daniel was truly incredible to work with from start to finish. I met with so many photographers before choosing him because I was very specific about what I wanted. I wasn’t looking for standard wedding photography. I wanted photos that felt cinematic, cool, and unique to us, and Daniel more than delivered. Our engagement shoot was SO much fun and immediately made us even more excited to have him there on our wedding day. He made us feel comfortable, kept everything easy and natural, and the photos were exactly the vibe I had been searching for. Then came the wedding day, and somehow he exceeded our expectations again. We had a pretty wild group of bridesmaids and groomsmen, and Daniel handled all of the chaos without missing a beat. He went with the energy, kept things moving, and genuinely seemed to be having fun right along with us. What stood out most, though, was how much Daniel actually cared. He never felt like someone who was simply there to take photos and leave. He cared about our day, our story, and capturing the moments that actually felt like us. That meant so much to both of us. I told him from the beginning that I didn’t want standard wedding photos. I wanted iconic wedding photos, and that is exactly what you get with Daniel. We couldn’t recommend him more.”

Brooklyn Kate Photo

  • Photojournalistic style

Hi, I'm Brooklyn — the photographer behind Brooklyn Kate Photo. I fell in love with wedding photography for the in between moments: the nervous laugh before the ceremony, the glance no one else catches. That's what I chase. I shoot on a mix of digital and film, giving my work a timeless, editorial feel over a trendy one. I recently moved my business to Chicago, though I still travel for destination weddings all over the world! Every wedding is different, and I love learning each couple's story first. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, so you can be present while I capture it all. If my style feels like a fit, I'd love to connect.

“From our first conversation, Brooklyn Kate Photo made it clear she understood what we wanted for our wedding day. She communicated every step of the process with ease and kept us on schedule when things got hectic, which we really appreciated. Brooklyn captured both the candid moments that unfolded naturally and the specific shots we had envisioned, delivering photos that felt meaningful and true to our story. Her documentary style of photography showed the real emotion and joy of the day without feeling forced or overly posed. What impressed us most was how she managed to capture our vision even better than we could imagine it ourselves. We can't recommend her highly enough to couples looking for a photographer who is organized, responsive, and genuinely talented at her craft.”

“We had the pleasure of working with Grace Kathryn Photography for our wedding. Grace was an absolute joy to work with - she was efficient and detailed in her communication, always responding quickly to emails and keeping us updated every step of the way. Most importantly, Grace genuinely cared about capturing our love story and making sure we were happy with the photos. Her photography style is airy and beautifully epic. The photos turned out even better than we could have imagined, perfectly encapsulating all of the special moments and emotions from our big day. Grace was so helpful on the wedding day itself, guiding us through the schedule and making sure we stayed on track. She was constantly smiling and kept the mood light. We couldn't have asked for a better, kinder photographer to document our wedding journey. Grace's professionalism, talent and caring spirit made her an invaluable vendor and we'd recommend her enthusiastically to any couple looking for a photographer. We are so blessed to have found her.”

From the beginning, Leah was easy to work with, she listened closely to what we envisioned for our wedding and was able to provide us with creative ideas when we needed some help or felt overwhelmed. Leah's photography skills were superb and she provided us with so many beautiful pictures of us, our friends, venues, and so much more. Her turnaround time on getting us the photos was so quick too! Not only did she provide great photos, but she assisted as our "day-of-coordinator." “Working with Moments by Frank was such a great experience from start to finish. Frank is incredibly personable and made us feel like we were catching up with a friend rather than working with a vendor, which put us at ease on our wedding day. He and his team knew exactly how to direct us for poses and worked with impressive efficiency and creativity throughout the entire event. Our bridal party couldn't stop raving about how easy Frank and the team were to work with. Communication was solid, though fair warning that Frank stays busy so you may need to follow up occasionally, but his work ethic is clearly why he's in such high demand. Our sneak peaks are stunning, and we can't wait to see our full final gallery!”

The preview photos we’ve received so far are absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t be happier with her work. I’m beyond excited to see the full gallery. Studio Bibb
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Los Alamos, CA

I’m a Santa Barbara–based photographer documenting weddings, elopements, and proposals along the coast and beyond. My approach is simple: capture the day as it actually felt. Clients often tell me how comfortable and at ease they felt being photographed, which allows moments to unfold naturally rather than feeling staged. My work leans true to color and natural in tone, with a focus on light, composition, and the in-between moments that often end up meaning the most.

“From our first conversation, Studio Bibb's team was easy to work with and got back to us quickly whenever we had questions. Olivia went above and beyond by meeting us at our venue the day before the wedding to map out the best spots and understand our vision. On the big day, she captured intimate moments between my husband and me, while her second shooter got stunning photos of our families coming together. The photos are absolutely breathtaking and worth every penny—we were blown away by the quality and attention to detail. Olivia's persistence in getting everything just right meant we have images we'll treasure forever. We'd recommend Studio Bibb to any couple looking for photographers who truly care about their story.”

I’ve been a Santa Barbara wedding photographer for 14 years, drawn to effortless, artful documentation from the very beginning. With a background in visual merchandising, marketing studies in Paris, and valuable business experience in the corporate world, I eventually returned to photography—always my first love after taking a film photography course in high school—and never looked back. More than a decade in, my love for weddings remains as strong as ever. My empathetic nature and holistic approach help create a warm, relaxed experience for every couple I work with.

“I could not recommend Emily enough as a wedding/special event photographer. Outside of being incredibly polished and professional, Emily is also just a wonderful and warm person. She's truly someone I would be friends with. I had so many friends and family rave about her after our wedding, saying she made them feel comfortable and relaxed, and she kept everything running so smoothly. I don't personally love having my photo taken, but Emily did such an incredible job making my husband and I feel comfortable during our engagement shoot, that I was actually excited and so relaxed for the wedding, knowing the photos would be amazing. She is incredibly fast, thorough, and runs a super well-oiled machine; she made my type A heart so happy, and she is just simply the best!”

(i-love-film) I really do. There is something about the tactile quality, the vibrant color, the absence of color, the patience required, the craft. Something about how it pauses each moment for just one more second in the best way possible. It’s why I let film influence the way I shoot, how I approach each wedding day, and capture each moment despite how much easier it would be to only shoot digital. My hope is that all this effort and care and passion and sentimental value translates into something so much more than a photo on a screen. That you remember the way you felt, the laughs, the tears, and all the in-between moments.

“Jack was so nice to work with! He was super friendly and gave really helpful directions. The photos turned out great and I especially loved the film photos he took. I would definitely book a shoot with him again for something.”

My passion for photography was built on nostalgia. From a young age, I loved opening of the old holiday popcorn tins full of generations of family photos that my mom kept in the hallway closet. It felt magical to pull out old memories and hear my mom recall the story behind a photo. Now, I love to capture these special memories for my clients to pass down to the next generation. My job is to encourage and direct you so you feel comfortable and confident while taking photos, capturing each unique story in a creative and authentic way. I do this by creating a space for us to truly get to know each other and be ourselves.

“If you are reading this review in search of a wedding photographer, you can stop the search now, because Augusta is who you want! Augusta is so talented, so easy to connect with, and takes the time to truly understand what you and your partner are hoping to capture. On our actual wedding day, there were many times we were running behind schedule, and Augusta quickly adapted and still managed to capture more than we ever hoped for, or expected. More than that, I'm not sure how many weddings Augusta has worked, but she makes you feel like the most important and special person, is so attentive, has such a calming yet commanding presence (exactly what you need, but didn't know you needed until the day is actually unfolding), and makes you feel like you've been lifelong friends. She's extremely professional, great with communication, and if I had 15 weddings, I'd want her for all 15 of them.”

I believe that when you look back on a photo, you remember what you felt at that moment. It is my goal to help facilitate an incredible experience that is worth remembering and displaying. Capturing the big moments and the little ones in-between.
