We feel so lucky to have found Katy as our videographer. While we were on our honeymoon she sent the link to our wedding video and we got to relive the day through her exquisite footage and editing. Everyone who watches it immediately asks (while wiping away their tears) “WHO was you videographer?!” Katy has an incredible eye and ability for storytelling that encapsulated our special day better than I could have hoped for! Katherine Frizzell Films
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Storytelling style
  • Starts at $3,100
  • Serves Madras, OR

My work centers on personal history - childhood videos, old photos, and the moments that shaped a life long before the wedding day. These films are created entirely from existing family footage and photographs, shaped into a short film that tells the story of how you came to be, and are often shared at rehearsal or welcome dinners. I also offer intimate, documentary-style wedding day videography for couples who value authenticity over production. Each film honors not just the wedding itself, but the people, history, and relationships that made it possible.

My mom hired Katherine to create a video for my wife and I - we saw the video for the first time at the wedding welcome party alongside everyone else and it was one of the highlights of the weekend. It seamlessly connected all the old home movies, from both sides, throughout the years and was such an amazing way to highlight and celebrate the joining of two families.

Flower and oak were absolutely amazing. They showed up extremely early for our event and we had the highest premium package ordered for the day. We had a couple specific shoot ideas for THE GROOMSMEN and the minute I walked in the front door. I was greeted by both videographers With all kinds of cool camera gear and they told us exactly what to do and there was no time wasted. I highly recommend flower and oak to anyone looking at getting married soon. The one thing I don’t regret about our wedding day is using them because they were so great. It doesn’t matter what the price is you will have those memories forever.

Wedding videography is the closest thing I've found to time travel. I'm there for the in-between moments - the dad's hands shaking on a necklace clasp, the quiet beat before the doors open, the first laugh at the reception table. I film alongside my sister Beth, and having family on set means the energy stays family. We've been building rapport with each other since we were kids, so we catch the shots other crews miss. My goal isn't to be the most expensive videographer. It's to be the most worth it. Let's make something you'll actually watch!

Awarded Best of Zola
Alex was amazing for our San Francisco wedding! He captured everything from our hotel prep to the last dance at the reception. He handled all three locations like a pro - especially the gorgeous outdoor space and ballroom at the Conservatory at One Sansome. He got along great with our big wedding party (no small feat!) and stayed cool and friendly all day. Communication was on point before, during, and after the wedding, and he rolled with any changes without missing a beat. His technical abilities truly impressed us. The steady-cam footage was smooth and professional, while the drone shots added a stunning cinematic quality. We're obsessed with both our full wedding video and the shorter cut he made for social media. When I asked for a few tweaks, Alex jumped right on them with zero drama. What makes Alex special is how much he genuinely cares about getting your vision just right. If you want someone who's talented, easy to work with, and passionate about making your wedding video perfect - Alex is your guy! Highly recommend!

If you’re reading this review, you’re likely considering Steven and Wild Light Films as part of your big day. DO IT!! We were originally drawn to his unique style of work, music-video like approach, and storytelling ability in capturing the essence of people’s wedding days. Working with Steven was incredible and we can’t say enough about how much we loved his work. We booked him back in 2019 for our 2020 wedding, but of course with COVID we had to push it back a year. He was super flexible and accommodating, and we still figured out a plan to have video footage of an intimate ceremony in 2020, as well as the original plan for 2021. He did such an amazing job incorporating the two ceremonies together into one seamless video, which he turned around even quicker than we expected! Steven is a delight to work with—truly a genuinely kind person. His video editing craftsmanship and storytelling are compelling—rewatching our video + highlights felt like taking us right back to the memories and joy of our day. Do yourself and your future self a favor and get Steven to make your wedding video that you’ll cherish for years to come.

Our wedding business started out with me shooting a wedding video for a very dear friend of mine in 2017. I posted the video to a Facebook business page and BOOM! It received 200,000 views and we started receiving hundreds of inquiries from couples around the PNW. Every year I would book 30-40 weddings doing photo and video for couples. When COVID struck, we had a year crashing into the next year. We had to adapt. So I grew our company to 8 teams of pro photographers/videographers to cover weddings around the US. There is nothing better than capturing love on the biggest day ever. Every day we are thankful to be able to do this.

Joshua Jacob Creative was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding videography. Josh was extremely responsive in his communication, always getting back to us promptly with clear and precise answers to our questions. On the big day, Josh and his assistant were consummate professionals - impeccable work and attention to detail. They made us and our families feel at ease while skillfully capturing all the special moments we hoped to remember forever. From my husband feeling comfortable in front of the camera despite not loving the spotlight to shy relatives coming out of their shells thanks to Josh's friendly demeanor, the video perfectly encapsulates the joy and love of our special day. We couldn't have asked for a better team to seamlessly document our wedding memories to cherish for years to come. Thanks, Josh!

I'm Yaro, a New York City-based filmmaker with a style rooted in authentic, unfiltered storytelling. I focus on the real stuff. The laughter, the glances, the moments you didn't even know were happening. My approach is seamless and intentional. You stay present and enjoy your day while I document it exactly as it feels. To me, a wedding film isn't just a highlight reel. It's a record of how the room felt, how love showed up, and how your story unfolded. I'm honored to be trusted with telling it. I focus on candid, natural moments so you can be fully present on your day. My goal is for your wedding to feel like a celebration, not a film set.

We had the most amazing experience during both our engagement and wedding photo shoots! From the very beginning, our photographer was incredibly professional, organized, and attentive. What stood out most was how genuinely they listened to our thoughts and ideas. They took the time to understand our vision and made sure our personalities really came through in every shot. During the engagement session, they created such a relaxed and fun atmosphere that we immediately felt comfortable in front of the camera. On our wedding day, everything ran so smoothly. They captured all the important moments — big and small — without ever feeling intrusive. Their calm presence made a huge difference and helped keep us at ease throughout the day. The final photos are absolutely stunning. Every image feels natural, emotional, and beautifully composed. We couldn’t be happier with how our memories were preserved, and we are so grateful for the care and creativity that went into every shot. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a talented, thoughtful, and professional photographer!

Rebecca Lynn Films is a wedding videography business based out of Seattle, Washington. Her run and gun filmmaking style is suited for couples who are looking for something different and tailored to them. She makes wedding films for the wild at heart. For the weird, nontraditional, fun, and bold couples.

Where to begin with the absolute master and goddess that is Rebecca...What initially caught my eye was her unique lens for storytelling. I watched every. single. wedding video on her website (yes they're just that good) and by the end of it I felt like I knew these couples for years. She doesn't use a formula. You know what I'm talking about, when you're searching through wedding videographers and you feel like you're watching the same thing over and over with a different couple that they 'plug and play' into the same structure. Rebecca took me and my husband out for drinks beforehand and was so inquisitive and lovely and by the end of the night we left the bar with a new best friend. I have a background in the arts, so I told her to go as experimental and arthouse as she wanted with our wedding video, to pull out all the stops. And BOY did she. The amount of outside footage she was able to weave into my husband and I's love story and wedding day was overwhelming. It was like a film noir fairytale. I still say she puts Darren Aronofsky to shame. I would book her for anything at all in life that I want put into film. She is one of the most sickeningly talented and warm and just COOL humans to ever grace this planet. If Rebecca had a superpower, it would be selecting the perfect song for ANY occasion: wedding, funeral, first communion, divorce party, a bris...if it exists, she can find find a score for it. Rebecca just GETS IT with minimal to no notes. And you NEED someone like that on your team on one of the most overstimulating and overwhelming days of your life (yay weddings). I never once doubted her. I'm sure every other review of hers you will read will echo everything I've said, because it's true! What are you waiting for? BOOK HER ALREADY! (Thank you so much Rebecca! Please come back to Austin soon so we can film some funky and weird stuff! - Love Angelina & Carlos)

Rose Gold Films was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding video. Their communication was effective, clear, and amazing throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was truly wonderful, magical, and beautiful. Rose Gold Films flew all the way out to Montana to help capture our ceremony, as well as traveled to Kansas for our reception, and made a beautiful combined video of both of our special days. Literally, our wedding day wouldn't have been the same without her! Forever recommending Rose Gold Films for all video needs!

Dane is absolutely incredible! From the first time we met with him, his energy and positive outlook was contagious and we knew it would be a great fit. Come wedding day, Dane arrived plenty early to capture our venue and get comfortable with the space. Dane captured ALL the details and seamlessly blended the various clips of our wedding together with audio from throughout the day. I am absolutely obsessed with how our video turned out, I feel like I’m watching a cinematic masterpiece. And I was absolutely shocked to have received our final video just over two weeks after our wedding, and that was during the holidays! Dane, I truly can’t thank you enough for everything. I highly recommend Dane, you will not be disappointed!
