Diamond Strings is a Memphis based, owned, and operated string quartet formed by members of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and the musicians behind the popular Candlelight Concerts. We specialize in weddings and special events, and our role extends far beyond simply performing music. Inspired in the late 1980s, by local radio DJs in the Memphis area, LaShawn “DJ Zoom” Lester began deejaying by recording music from the radio and using various mixtapes created by popular deejays to create his own music. After deejaying at several middle and high school events, DJ Zoom officially began his professional career in 2007. Over the years, he continued to perfect his craft, making him one of the most sought after deejays in Memphis and the surrounding areas.
