Shortly after I learned to write, I could be found embellishing my letters with little hand-sketched swirls and flowers. Making flower crowns from dandelions I found outside was a staple pastime of my childhood. This inner drive to create has evolved as I grew older and when I was first introduced into the world of floral design in 2016, I quickly realized that I wanted flower arranging to be a part of my life in some way from then on.

Michelle started her career as a lawyer, but could not resist the pull of her family’s legacy—flowers! A third-generation florist, some of her earliest childhood memories include processing flowers at her grandmother’s shop in northern Indiana. She grew her love of flowers working along side her mom in creating amazing wedding florals for couples all over Indiana. Ask her and she will tell you that she was trained by the best! She brings her passion and years of experience in this art to the Owner/Creative Director role for One of a Kind Events.

I’ve been providing wedding and event flowers for the past seven years. I started out doing my best friend’s wedding and receive so many compliments and friends telling me that I should do this for my business. I do work full-time so I can only do this as a part-time job. I love it though and enjoy having that freedom of expression and the ability to make a couples wedding, the most beautiful event. When I book a wedding, it is the only wedding that I work on for that weekend. I hope to talk to you and help your vision become reality.
