LEMON & TULIPS
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Starts at $65 per arrangement
  • Serves Oxford, ME

Here is a very short story how I got into the floral industry. In 2015 I got in an accident where I cracked my skull and had to have brain surgery/tbi. I was not able to work for months, my vision was sensitive, my taste was gone, my balance was off whack, I had temporary aphasia and thinking would exhaust me physically. With all this, I had to go to neuro rehab and 'retrain my brain'. Color therapy; sight exercises. Smells; memory builder. Art; improves brain function. I then asked myself, 'what the hell career has all of this to help me?' Duh. Flowers. I got lucky because I fell in love with it

“Working with Lemon & Tulips was such a great experience from start to finish. Ali was incredibly responsive whenever we reached out with questions or concerns, which made the whole planning process feel smooth and stress-free. When our ceremony had to move inside due to rain, Ali jumped in to help us figure out the best solution and adjusted everything perfectly. The flowers she created were absolutely stunning, vibrant and eye catching in a way that had our guests talking about them all night. She really listened to what we wanted and brought our vision to life in a way we didn't even know was possible. We couldn't have asked for a better florist for our wedding day!”

“I was very pleased with my experience with Something Borrowed Blooms! The flowers were quality silk, unlike typical fake flowers these felt and even smelled like flowers!! I enjoyed not having to waste flowers the day after our wedding, I could send them back in for the next bride! If I had not gone with something borrowed we likely would have make our own flower arrangements. I was nervous about not knowing how those would look until the day of. I loved knowing EXACTLY what my flowers would look like on my wedding day. They were gorgeous! The customer service was never lacking! My shipment was delayed by a day but the team was quick to respond to my nerves insuring me they would over night a replacement box if needed. We highly recommend!”

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (106 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Oxford, ME

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We had a wonderful experience with Flower Moxie and loved their DIY approach to wedding flowers. From the start, their communication was efficient and straightforward—they walked us through exactly how many blooms we'd need for bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, and bud vases without any confusion. Browsing their kits made it simple to find colors that matched our wedding perfectly, and the flowers themselves were gorgeous and fresh. The whole process felt manageable because they explained everything clearly, which took so much stress out of the planning. We're already telling our friends about this option and would definitely recommend Flower Moxie to any couple looking to create their own arrangements.”

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (44 reviews)
  • Serves Oxford, ME

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We had the most incredible experience with the Faux Bouquets! From start to finish, Brittany was responsive, caring and efficient! We rented the ‘Moody Romance’ suite and I purchased an add on of a custom bridal bouquet and boutonnière! I had done thorough research on purchasing real flowers and while price was our driving factor, I loved the element of saving on waste with renting and the option to purchase a keepsake! Brittany spent time talking to me so many times about questions I had and was incredibly patient! With the custom bouquet, I was able to upload inspiration photos and she NAILED it! The shipping process was so seamless as well. Brittany provided the tracking numbers and thorough instructions on receiving and then returning the flowers. I pride myself on getting ALL the flowers returned in record time (Brittany said) ;) All of our guests couldn’t believe the flowers were fake and everyone was raving about them! Do yourself a favor and go with The Fuax Bouquets!”

🌹 WE ARE NOT FRESH FLOWER FLORISTS. WE WORK WITH WOOD & FAUX FLOWERS. PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IN YOUR REPLY. 🌹 Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Jen was AMAZING to work with! When it came to flowers for my wedding, I had NO IDEA what I wanted. She was very patient with me and helped talk me through my vision. She gave me flowers to pick from, talked about how big I wanted my bouquet and how much greenery I wanted, and then when I could find colors I liked in swatches, she color-matched the colors I wanted from an inspo pic I found online! She was very professional and patient with me, even when my plans changed or I needed to add to my order.  I am not the best at putting together a bouquet. I am also someone who likes control, especially when it came to planning my wedding. I was thankful that I was able to give Jen the reins, tell her what I wanted, and watch her make my dreams come true. When I first saw my flowers, I was speechless. She truly did make my floral dreams come true, and now I get to keep my bouquet for the rest of my life! A wooden flower bouquet from Jen is the way to go!”

The Flower Spot
Rating: 5.0 (34 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Starts at $1,050
  • Serves Oxford, ME

The Flower Spot is a small floral studio in Richmond, Maine, owned and designed by Anne Clark. We work from the ground floor of a circa-1854 house on the Kennebec River — the same house that hosts intimate weddings out back. Anne designs every wedding herself. No account manager, no template package menu, no upsell script. You tell her what you love — a color, a photo, your grandmother's garden — and she builds outward from there. Bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony arches, aisle florals, centerpieces, cake flowers, and installations. Whether it's one bouquet or every table in the room, the care is exactly the same.

“I Loved all of the floral arrangements. Just what I wanted. They did outstanding with communications, details, everything. I loved everything. Thank you for everything!! Highly recommend! Got many reviews/comments from the guests”

The Flower Dude

I'm Don Clark. I run The Flower Dude, a studio wedding florist in Portland, Maine. Studio means no retail shop, and that's the point. Instead of a cooler full of roses that flew up from Miami last week, I work from three gardens in Cape Elizabeth and Kennebunk — so from June through late September, your flowers are cut the morning you get married. I arrange everything myself, then deliver and set it up: bouquets, boutonnieres, arches, reception tables, all of it. Personal and personalized.

“Don did an AMAZING job with our flowers for our wedding! He listened to all of our wants, needs, and inspirations, and brought our vision to life. We had a beautiful arch of greens for the ceremony with white flower accents, and calla lilies were peppered throughout the wedding and used for wedding party bouquets and boutonnieres. There is nothing Don and The Flower Spot can't do!! You'd be remiss if you didn't choose them for your special event.”

Blue Dahlia Wooden Florals, LLC

My business started when I was planning my own wedding. I love flowers, but we couldn't justify spending hundreds or thousands on real flowers to throw them away in a week when we also found out we were expecting our first child at the same time. In came wood flowers! After much practice, I discovered I have an eye for colors and floral design and now 4 years and MANY weddings and THOUSANDS of home decor pieces later, this is not only my passion but it is also my full time business. No side hustle here! You will have my undivided attention. I'll make sure your floral dreams come to life in wood and the best part, they LAST FOREVER!

“Working with Naomi for our wedding florals was a DREAM and an exceptional experience from start to finish. We cannot recommend her and her team at Nectar and Vessel highly enough to other couples getting married. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Naomi and her team and giving her complete creative freedom. She took that freedom, and spun floral magic into the most beautifully designed space we have ever seen. Her love for florals, and for creating beautiful moments for others shines in her work - and isn’t that what you want on your wedding day? To be surrounded by love through flowers that all your guests can feel? That’s the magic Naomi brings to weddings that is impossible to replicate. The floral designs and artistry that Naomi and her team created for our day were simply stunning. Beyond being beautiful, they were unique and felt personal to us. It was the talk of the wedding that none of the guests had ever seen a display like the florals at our wedding, and that each tablescape and design felt like a work of art. A few things additional things about working with N&V we’d like to highlight: Design and vision: Naomi not only executed a vision for our wedding florals and design, she shaped it from the very beginning. The proposal powerpoint was a detailed mood board of not only the florals, but the overall vibe and design for the wedding. For the bride or groom, like me, who was overwhelmed with how to make a wedding feel cohesive, personal, and intentionally designed, trust in Naomi to help jump start that process and hire her as one of your early vendors. Flawless logistics and professionalism: Working with N&V was completely stress free because Naomi and her team are true professionals. She was respectful of our budget, had a clear, well-structured contract, and payment through her professional portal was incredibly easy. Everything was delivered, set-up, and cleaned up flawlessly and on-time. Importantly, if there were any issues day-of, we didn’t hear about it or take on any of that stress (though with her careful planning, I bet there weren’t any fires to put out!) While these sound like boring logistics, all of this professional preparation on N&V’s part saved us a ton of time and stress wedding planning. Positivity and good energy: Naomi herself is the warmest and most effusively positive person - that was clear from our very first consultation call with her and was even more true on the day of our wedding. We felt showered in positivity throughout our experience working with her, which is exactly what you want on your big day! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Nectar and Vessel, and specifically, Naomi and her wonderful team. Hire her early, trust her to work her magic and give her all the creative control, and then watch your wedding venue transform. I bring both professional and academic training to every arrangement. I studied fine arts at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university, and I apply that same eye for color, composition, and detail to every bouquet, centerpiece, and installation. Your florals aren't just decorations to me. They're a work of art, built specifically for your day. Wedding florals shouldn't force you to choose between beautiful and affordable. I've watched too many couples fall in love with a Pinterest board, then feel deflated by the quote that comes with it. That's not how I work.

“I wanted wildflowers with all sorts of different pastel colors combined. Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals was able to deliver perfectly. I absolutely loved my cascading bouquet especially!”

Milkweed Floral Co.

Hi! I’m Iris, the mind, body, and soul behind Milkweed! As a lot of dad’s like to joke, my name must be a birthright into floristry. In all honesty, it really has been a constant thread throughout my life. From picking flowers in my mom’s garden, to working in a flower shop in Boston right after college, then tackling florals for my own wedding in 2021, and eventually freelancing for event florists around Maine - I fell head over heels for wedding florals!

Awarded Best of Zola
“Iris at Milkweed Design Co exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding in 2023! I love flowers and wanted a lot all over the venue, but I didn't specify know which ones I wanted. Iris created the perfect design that I was imagining but couldn't put into words myself. She suggested and constructed an elaborate show stopping floral installation on a tree welcoming guests to the venue and offering an unique backdrop for photos! The colors, textures, and attention to detail were perfection! Each arrangement completely transformed the space into something magical. It was clear how much care, creativity, and passion went into every aspect of Iris' work. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the flowers at the time, and to this day, it's the one thing everyone still brings up! “From the moment we reached out to The Creative Nature Florist, the team was incredibly easy to work with. They were always prompt in their communication and had a laid-back, friendly demeanor that put us at ease throughout the planning process. The quality of their work was unbelievable - the bouquets, centerpieces, and other floral arrangements were absolutely gorgeous, with vibrant, beautiful colors that perfectly complemented our wedding theme. And the value was fantastic, as their prices were very reasonable. The team was also incredibly helpful, assisting us with set-up the night before the wedding as well as the morning of. We couldn't have asked for a better florist to bring our vision to life, and we highly recommend The Creative Nature Florist to any couple planning their wedding.”
