The performers on the day were phenomenal, and our guests are still talking about it! Their talent was incredible, and they were kind, fun, and professional to work with. Our ceremony guitarist learned our entrance songs and performed them beautifully. Our special dances were played from mp3 and were timed perfectly. Even though we honestly didn't give them much direction for timing, they just nailed it! And then the party! Our family and friends love to dance, and the band kept the energy high all night long. They even learned a couple of extra songs for us that sounded amazing. Their talent is honestly unreal. They definitely were supposed to take more breaks than they did, but they just kept playing, and even gave us an encore. “You should ABSOLUTELY choose DJ Kelsey for your wedding — or any event, really. When my wife and I started searching for vendors, we approached every decision with a lot of thought and research. On the Get Down Tonight website, I watched all the DJs’ introduction videos. At first, I realized I had inadvertently skipped the female DJs, immediately corrected myself, and watched their videos. Both women were fantastic, but Kelsey instantly stood out. While many DJs covered the usual talking points, Kelsey was the only one who emphasized being detail-oriented — mastering the pronunciation of every name, paying attention to pacing, and understanding the many moving parts of a wedding. She’s all about creating an incredible dance floor vibe, but she also clearly understands the responsibility of running the flow of an entire event. The DJ truly sets the tone, and Kelsey takes that seriously. Our friends and family love to be silly and have fun on the dance floor, and Kelsey understood that energy immediately. She chose songs perfectly, and throughout the night people kept complimenting our DJ while we were still dancing. They told a childhood story involving a niche, repetitive song I used to sing, and even sang it as part of the speech. After speeches ended and dinner music resumed — surprise! — Kelsey had somehow found that exact song and played it at the perfect moment. Everyone cracked up, and we got so many compliments on her quick thinking. I had even suspected she might do it as my brothers were singing, and she didn’t disappoint. At the end of the night, Kelsey shared the sweetest comments with us about our wedding, saying how wonderful our guests were and how warmly everyone treated the vendors. The next day she sent us a short clip of our first dance, along with kind words that meant a lot — especially since I had choreographed it myself. In another guest’s video, you can even see her cheering for us along with our friends and family. Kelsey told us she felt like a guest at our wedding, and I honestly consider that one of the highest compliments she could have given us — because that’s exactly how present, genuine, and connected she was throughout the night. “Okay brides just book them!!! I wish I could do 200 stars because that’s what they deserve. The amount of people who came up to us through out the night to comment on the music was the most rewarding feeling, because I completely agreed! The combination of live acoustic, with dj is so unique, stood out to everyone, and was worth every penny. The planning process with them was so easy, and they even put my mind at ease by just sharing their insights, while also listening to what we wanted. Joseph perform our first dance song live, which was my favorite part- it wasn’t your typical “slow” song, but we loved it anyways and he really executed it beautifully. We were all in awe of the whole experience. I ALMOST didn’t have them incorporate the live sing a long at the end, but after they described the vibe on our last call I changed my mind and let me say- I’m so glad they did it. One of my friends told me they felt like they were at a concert. We wish we could relive that night over and over again. I really can’t thank Joseph and Erika enough for taking such great care of this experience and creating the night of our dreams!!”

“I can’t even begin to thank the team at Black Diamond for making our wedding night so incredible. David and Mike on DJ and Tim on sax were absolutely amazing from start to finish. The energy was SO high, and they paid attention to every little detail, which made such a difference on our special night. Leading up to the wedding, our meetings with David were always so great. He was so easy to talk to, incredibly organized, and asked us every question to make sure he understood exactly what we wanted. He had our entire list of songs, our wedding party names, and all of the little details we had discussed. You could truly tell how much he cared about making our night perfect. One moment that really stood out to me was when David came up to me during the reception to ask if I wanted a song that a guest had requested to be played. That small gesture showed just how professional and thoughtful he was. He wanted to make sure the music stayed exactly what we envisioned, while still making sure everyone was having the best time. So many of our guests came up to us throughout the night and told us how incredible our DJ crew was. David & Mike kept the energy going all night, and Tim on sax was AMAZING and brought an entirely different level of energy to the dance floor.
