She had several planning calls with me leading up, and I appreciated her expertise and advice around some last minute details to iron out. The day of, she and her sister did a TON of work to set everything up for us, and they put a little extra pizazz in to make things really beautiful. Everything ran without a hitch and there were no issues, thanks to her great work. I was so glad to have her there - initially I wasn't sure if it was something to spend money on but I saw several brides mention how much of a MUST have a DOC was, and we could not have had the day we did without her! Some of our best money spent!!!!”

“Savanna & her partner were amazing! I hired them for day of coordination and set up/take down services for my wedding at Boerner Botanical Gardens, and they absolutely killed it. They set up all of our tables and extra decor, and even went above and beyond! We had sparklers for our grand exit, and I had bought some cards that went with them. I assumed I had forgotten the cards, so I didn’t even mention them or ask for it to be put together, but when I showed up to the venue day of they were putting them together anyways! She came to our rehearsal the day before, and helped keep us on track and organized day of. Her eye for decoration is amazing, she’s very organized, and also (very importantly) extremely kind! If I find myself needing day of coordination/help setting up in the future, I’ll 110% be reaching out!”

“We shopped around a bit for a planner before landing on McKayla and her team over at Shaded Spruce Events. Even though we only booked the partial planning package, it felt as if we had a full planner on our side. McKayla made an effort to meet us on our level and elevate ALL of our ideas into a reality. McKayla took most of the logistical planning out of our hands, which allowed us to focus on the fun things. She also helped us settle on and refine the design of the event, and she gave really great ideas that we probably wouldn't have though of on our own. Her recommendations for vendors was also super helpful, and we were very pleased with the ones that we booked. She quickly figured out what we were looking for and how we operated and catered the planning to fit what we needed. With our package, we were also able to utilize a lot of additional decor and services that Shaded Spruce provides, which really added to the overall design of the event. On the big day, we didn't see much of McKayla and her team beyond what was needed, but we knew they were working hard to make the day perfect because the day went perfectly from our perspective! Not only did the event look perfect, we were also extremely satisfied with McKayla and her team's communication. We were always in the loop about what we needed to do and where we needed to be without it feeling overwhelming. At the end of the night, she handled the organization of the tear down, which allowed for the two of us to head out without having to worry about it. Overall, working with McKayla and her team was a true pleasure. We would highly recommend her to anyone who is even thinking of getting a planner. In the beginning, we were very hesitant to hire a day of coordinator, we thought that we could handle it ourselves and with our venue coordinator.
