“The Get Together Events Co. (TGT) was the easiest and best (after saying 'yes'!) decision of our wedding planning process. We worked closely with Lauren (founder) until she did the "official hand-off" with our onsite manager, Kate, a couple of days before our wedding once all final details were in place. Kate had been included in all communications leading up to this and she didn't miss a beat. The hand-off was seamless! The spreadsheets, checklists, vendor emails and phone calls—everything generated by TGT—was so incredibly helpful in keeping us on track and not overwhelmed. They really helped us to be able to enjoy the last few weeks before our wedding by managing all of the vendor questions and final set-up details. Lauren's upbeat, friendly personality was wonderful as well! she could always put a smile on my face and made us laugh. On wedding day, Kate was our manager and Kristen her coordinator. There could not have been 2 more wonderful, sweet, attentive, helpful, thorough and just plain awesome people to be there overseeing everything like the magical angels that they are. They were both so helpful to my husband and me separately in the morning while getting ready, all through the day and night with making sure everything made it back to our hotel room...including packaging up food for a late night snack! They managed running our rehearsal with military precision and kept us on track time-wise throughout the wedding. “TL;DR: If you're questioning a wedding planner. You found your person in Shelby. She will be your teammate and advocate. Let me start by saying 5 stars is not enough for Shelby. What she was able to do over the course of a few months and the day of our wedding, and even after, is no short than a miracle. My aunt said it best, "She was just meant to do this job", and it shines through every conversation, detail, and edge she was able to walk me back from. I contacted Shelby originally for a month of coordinator. Soon after, I realized even for a type A project manager, I was in over my head planning an Alabama wedding from Philadelphia, PA. She walked me through everything and that's when I said I need her on my team and I need her skills now for everything between today and the wedding day. The best decision I made through the process (debatably even more so than saying yes to my husband) was hiring Shelby. She made the transition from what I prepped and thought I had under control to the most magical day I could imagine. I hired her about 5 months before the wedding. She always made me a priority no matter the occasion or time. I genuinely had the best wedding planner and gained a friend along the way. I hired Brittney for day-of coordination about 2-3 months out from my wedding which took place March 2025. Brittney is an EXPERT event planner who was able to give me so much guidance even though I was so far into wedding planning. She is also EXTREMELY thorough—“day-of” coordination doesn’t just mean you show up on the day of the wedding and Brittney understands that. She put in the necessary prep work, reviewing vendor contracts, creating a detailed day of timeline, coordinating with vendors, and leading the rehearsal. Working with Brittney in the weeks leading up to the wedding and in particular at the rehearsal, I was able to observe the intentionality with which she builds relationships with people. On the wedding day, Brittney was a literal SUPERHERO. She comes equipped with walkie talkies and the most thorough emergency kit I’ve ever seen! There were things that went wrong throughout the day (that’s inevitable) but Brittney shielded me from so much of that by making executive decisions and coming up with solutions on the fly, which allowed me to just enjoy my day. By the end of the night, I didn’t want to deal with the train on my reception dress—Brittney handled it (the woman literally stitched a bustle for me lol).
