“We hired Groovytown Entertainment for our wedding in August 2023, and it was hands-down one of the best decisions we made! After searching for a DJ for about two weeks, we stumbled upon Groovytown Entertainment through Instagram, and everything fell into place. Our main focus was on the ceremony, as we wanted my cousins to play piano and guitar while guests arrived. We needed a DJ who could seamlessly accommodate this setup. At the same time, we also wanted someone who could keep the dance floor packed all night—both my family and my wife’s family love to dance! When we reached out, we connected with Biko, who immediately impressed us during a video chat. Just minutes into the call, we knew we were in good hands. Biko’s expertise with weddings was evident; he had so much energy and gave us insights about the timeline and flow of the day that we hadn’t even considered. It was clear he cared deeply about making our day perfect, and we booked him the very next day. Leading up to the wedding, we had two more meetings with Biko to finalize every detail. They did outstanding with communication prior to DJ Selection. Our DJ was Ben. He had great communication and really did well at keeping up with the timeline. He kept the dance floor alive, along with hitting our must plays. We gathered guests' first dance songs, and provided them to Ben to play throughout Cocktail Hour, and our guests loved this. “The. Perfect. Band. Hands down the best return on our wedding "investment." For many of our guests, the band was THE highlight of the day—and I think it says everything that I'm not the least bit offended by that. Seriously amazing musicians. The bandleader, Kyle, was an absolute legend to work with. I've heard from several friends/fam who called him after our wedding that he went above and beyond to help them find their second-choice band because the Hitmen were, sadly, already booked. He's just the most lovely person. Talented in his own right and, I must say, surrounded onstage by some of the best singers and players this side of the Mississippi. Their equipment produced incredible sound quality, even though the space wasn't designed for great acoustics. Plus, when we got a late start to our reception, the band called seamless song-selection audibles. If I had a time machine, one reason I'd do my wedding day again would be to relive the dance party the Hitmen threw.”

Although there was a minor hiccup the week of our wedding in a performer change/miscommunication, the team at Rock It Man stepped up and rearranged schedules to quickly accommodate our desire for a specific entertainer. And let me tell you… having Jon perform at our wedding was one of the highlights of our whole day! From live music at the ceremony, to hours of live music during the reception – Jon kept everyone entertained. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had and what a great idea it was to have live music. The price of Rock It Man versus a DJ company is very different, but we truly felt that the show, the energy, the vocals, everything we received from Rock It Man was worth every single penny.”

“My finance’ had seen Class act at another family wedding, but it was before my time. He talked very highly about how much fun they were, but I still needed to be convinced. So we talked to them and then interviewed them and then it was very easy to decide that they were the right people for us. One of the things they let us know right off the bat was that they were working for us and even though other family members might have some ideas they would give us the final say in all matters relative to our big day. So we started out with their wedding officiant and DJ for an outdoor wedding. We wanted short, sweet and simple while having some amount of levity and romance and they delivered. The ceremony we just right. We then progressed to our social hour and dinner. Class Act moved the sound system they used for the ceremony in the outdoor dining area while keeping the larger system set up inside with the bar and dance area. The announcements came over both systems so that everyone could be part of the experience. At the diner we did some kissing games where the guests needed to entertain us and we judged their performance with the kiss. Everyone was laughing the whole time. They released tables and escorted the guests to the indoor buffet table. I cannot remember all the fun things that went on during dinner, but my guests really embraced the experience. Once the dinner was all done Class Act had the guests make two lines and we walked between them from the outside dinner tables to the dance floor then they all flowed in to watch us. We felt so special and supported. It was also brilliant because it got all the people into the dance area and the dance took off like a flash. So we danced all night it was and amazing time. Too bad I only get to do this once. Maybe we will have to have an Anniversary party. Olivia and Sam”

“This as an excellent Jazz band. We had an outdoor wedding in August with a theme of a summer garden party. We wanted a live Jazz band to play 3 x 45 min sets and after finding Reception Jazz on line they seemed to be perfect. I had a couple of conversations with Scott in advance to discuss the details and became immediately aware that this band was going to be professional and easy to work with. We booked a 3 piece (Keys, Bass and Drums) and the week before the wedding we called and asked if they could also bring a Sax player (Which they did). Even that late change was no problem. We live streamed our wedding to several other countries as people couldn't travel with COVID-19 and some technical difficulties meant that the timing of the musical sets was disrupted. Scott and the guys were amazing and simply went with the flow. There is a lot to manage in a wedding but we didn't need to manage this band. They were perfect.”

“If you're looking for a DJ who goes above and beyond, Mike is your guy. From start to finish, he was the definition of professional. Responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making the day perfect. Communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process. Mike made sure to walk through the venue with us ahead of time so that every logistical detail was locked in well before the big day. He handled all the traditional wedding DJ responsibilities flawlessly, but he also embraced our more unique requests without hesitation. We asked him to play video game lo-fi music during cocktail hour and dinner, and he absolutely nailed it. We're also huge fans of metal and rock, and we were initially worried that might not translate well to a wedding dance floor. He was able to mix those songs in live and keep the energy high all night. It turned out to be one of our favorite parts of the reception, and honestly something we weren't sure we'd get to experience. “We booked through Steve upfront and he was so terrific to work with on initial arrangements. Our DJ, Drew, was absolutely fantastic! He handled both our ceremony and reception music, and everything was seamless from start to finish. The ceremony music was perfect, the timing was exactly right, and he helped create the exact feeling we wanted for the day. He used my Spotify playlists as inspiration for our pre-ceremony and cocktail hour music, so those moments felt completely like us and set the perfect vibe from the beginning. For the reception, he did an amazing job reading the room, keeping the energy going, and making sure everything flowed without us ever having to worry about what was happening next. One of the things we appreciated most was how much he cared about making the day personal. He worked behind the scenes with our officiant and friends on a few surprises, and those little moments ended up meaning so much to us. We wanted our wedding to feel relaxed, personal, and like a true celebration with our favorite people, and Drew played such a big part in creating that atmosphere. “Studio Veil was exceptionally professional and organized. We never had a single concern about the DJ services leading up to our wedding. What we loved most was Studio Veil’s philosophy—weddings are about the couple, not the vendors. They offered as much or as little support as we needed, allowing us to have as much input over the DJ experience as we wanted. Brent was our DJ, and he was outstanding. In our pre-wedding meeting, we introduced him to a few unique ideas, and he embraced them all without hesitation. We even sent him our playlists just two days before the wedding, and he managed to perfect everything in time. On the day itself, Brent adapted to every last-minute change, flawlessly hitting all cues and keeping our song wishlist front and center. He checked in with us throughout the night in a relaxed, unobtrusive way, quieted the crowd gracefully, and kept the energy flowing without ever making it about him. Brent’s set was brilliant. He began the night with familiar favorites for our older guests and then shifted to a younger, more upbeat vibe as the evening progressed.
