“Choosing a wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you'll make during the planning process and I can confidently say, choosing Swan Lake Caterers was the best decision we made. I’m so excited to write this review so other couples can have a similarly incredible experience! I looked everywhere around the tri-state area from Jersey, to Connecticut, all the boroughs (including Staten Island!!) to all over Long Island. Swan Lake Caterers was actually the first venue I visited, and I fell in love instantly. But, like many brides, I was indecisive. I kept searching, trying to be sure… and after every other tour, I kept coming back to Swan Lake in my heart, I had a feeling it was the one! And it absolutely was. The entire day was seamless, magical, and full of joy. One of the most touching things someone said to me was from my sister. She told me, “So many brides can’t enjoy their wedding day because there’s so much going on but we could see in your face how carefree and happy you were. You were truly having fun” This was in large part due to Swan Lake Caterers allowing me to focus on my husband, family and friends. They gave us peace of mind, beautiful surroundings, and the freedom to be fully present in every moment. The food was out of this world, our guests are still talking about it! Sophia and Charlie really catered to what we wanted and to our guests’ dietary needs! Including three of our vegan family members. The venue itself was picture perfect. It was elegant, romantic, and timeless! One of my guests said it looked like it was out of a Disney movie. Elena, our maitre-d worked with me in the months leading up to the wedding to make sure the decor and vibe was everything we wanted. She knocked it out of the park! Even though it was a little chilly, and started to drizzle, Sophia was in contact with us in the week leading up to it, to make sure everyone was comfortable temperature wise. They were so unimaginably attentive to us! The day of, Elena made sure that even without a rehearsal everything went off without a hitch. Speaking of attentiveness, Jill, my bridal attendant, was simply amazing. She made sure we had drinks in our hand, food on our plates, helped me fix the train on my dress a million and one times. I’m pretty sure they helped one of my guests fix a ripped dress? Seriously. People said it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to! If you're thinking about getting married here, stop thinking and just say YES. I can’t express how incredibly grateful I am to Swan Lake Caterers and would love it for every other couple (and their guests) to have a similar experience!”

“Our wedding at Essex Club was everything we could have hoped for and more. From start to finish, the entire day was beautiful, seamless, and so much fun. The planning process was far less stressful than we ever expected, especially considering we planned our wedding in just 5½ months. Jessica, the General Manager and Wedding Coordinator, was fantastic throughout the entire process. She was knowledgeable, organized, calm, and incredibly easy to work with. Her guidance, patience, and attention to detail helped make the months leading up to our wedding feel manageable and enjoyable. As a bride, I was incredibly nervous before walking down the aisle, but Julissa and Rob were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we felt cared for throughout the day. Julissa, our Bridal Attendant, even put cornstarch on my feet in the bridal suite so I wouldn’t slip out of my shoes—a small gesture that perfectly captures the level of attention and care she provided! Rob was a fantastic Maitre D’, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful he was. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, the flowers were beautiful, and the décor was set up exactly as we envisioned. Every detail was handled with care, allowing us to truly enjoy our wedding and spend time with our family and friends. Our guests had an amazing time, and we danced and sang the night away. We are so grateful to the entire Essex Club team for their kindness, patience, professionalism, and hard work. Thank you for giving us such a magical wedding day. “We got married 1/5/25 but had been working with Miriam for probably a year and a half before our big day. She was always so personable with us a treated us like family. Words cannot describe the love and care we felt from Jake, our maître D and Samantha, our bridal attendant, on our wedding day. We were cared for tediously and effortlessly. We felt like at ease, happy and totally relaxed. I needed Samantha and didn’t even know it, I am forever indebted to her - she could not have been more attentive and wonderful. Comforting me, assuring me, getting me where I need to be and when. So friendly, kind and amazing. Thank god for Jake. He is so special and we’re so lucky we got him as our maître D. He deems himself as a “yes man” and he is not lying. Anything you could have ever wanted from him, he’d deliver. We wanted for nothing, had wonderful direction from him all night and he took care of EVERYTHING!  The night was flawless, amazing, perfect and all we could have ever hoped for. The staff at Bourne is unmatched, we made the right choice with this venue. Guests will be in awe of the venue and talk about the food for years to come. I wish I could do it all again. Thank you Bourne mansion & staff for the best night of our lives! I don’t have all my pics back yet!”

“I just got married at this venue on 8/31/25. I was the second wedding after all the renovations made, and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Mirian and Meg. If i can rate them & their staff alone it would be 10 stars. They were so attentive, helpful, professional, and kind. They didn’t only treat me (the bride) or the groom this way, they treated everyone with the utmost respect and amazing service. Sofia was in my care, who was the sweetest person and did everything for me that day. Meg was my maître d and she was so attentive and fun to be around. She pulled strings to make sure i got the most insane pictures and i couldn’t be more grateful that i had someone as great as her attending to me and my new husband! Mirian was the head person in charge before the wedding and she made everything so easy! She dealt with my vendors and made everything possible. she made sure my vision came to life and i really appreciate everything she did for me and my fiance as she made it possible. We met with her two weeks before the wedding, she helped me organize everything and even gave me very cute last minute ideas!! Meg and Mirian were the best two people to deal with i recommend anyone getting married here to push for them for their wedding day too. You know you have amazing staff too when your whole wedding and wedding party know them by name and mention that they loved them. The food was TO DIE FOR!! at one point after pictures, meg and sofia made sure me and my husband sat down for a moment to eat, which was super helpful and thoughtful. The food was amazing, everyone complimented it. Everyone raved about how good the meat carving station, seafood and pasta stations were. Everyone raved about the entrees and dessert as well. I cannot wait to go back and visit this place. It was so special, the vibe, overlooking the water. it made my fairytale wedding come to life. It wasn’t only the venue, it was definitely the people who worked there. Mirian and Meg, thank you so very much for making my wedding so memorable for me, my husband, and our whole family.”

“From the moment we saw the outdoor ceremony space, we knew The Watermill made the top of our list. We got so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue was and on how good the food was. In particular, the cocktail hour food got the most compliments. The team was great to work with, though there were some miscommunications as we got passed along from person to person getting closer to our wedding. One person would say they had frames for our signature drinks sign so we didn't need to get any while the next person said they didn't supply that. We were also of the understanding that we wouldn't be seeing any other party when we arrived, but there was another group out on the patio when we went to do our first look. I found out after that there was another party that was supposed to have left, but they didn't yet. Still, the team made sure to usher everyone away so we could have our space for our first look and we didn't see anyone other than our own party for the rest of the night. I have to give kudos to the team for stepping up when we had a medical emergency. Someone in my family needed medical attention during the reception (he was okay!) and even though my husband and most of his wedding party were medics, the staff was very attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of. Once we knew everyone was okay, Nick was very helpful in getting us back on track and getting us back in party mode. I appreciate him staying calm in that situation and making sure everything else kept running smoothly. Elaine was amazing. Every time I turned around she was there asking if I needed anything to drink, making sure I had food and was a huge comfort. I've heard that most couples don't get to eat at their own weddings and we had the complete opposite experience. Between her and my day-of coordinator, I felt so taken care of and truly appreciated everything. A DIY girl, I also made our centerpieces which did require some assembly. Shout out to the team for setting everything up the way I imagined and for helping us to have our nerdy wedding. I also appreciated that Nick got in on the fun with a Harry Potter tie clip to go with some of our centerpieces. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend Watermill Caterers. I would just advise taking notes and staying on top of communication leading up to the big day.”
