    Mainstreet Soul

    Jim and the Mainstreet Soul band were not only amazing to work with throughout the wedding planning process, but they were also a highlight of our wedding day! From our first conversation with Jim to the multiple interactions we had with him, either via email or phone, our experience was nothing but easy. Jim was prompt in his responses, thoughtful with his answers, and always wanted to ensure that we had the easiest wedding planning experience. On the day of the wedding Jim and the band came ready to rock! Their jazz quartet was a great way to kick off the evening during our cocktail hour. From there, the band had an incredible rendition of our first dance song, Be Young Be Foolish Be Happy by the Tams. The song was a new song for the band, which they learned for our first dance. Along with our first dance song, Mainstreet Soul surprised my Husband and I by learning Taylor Swift's Love Story, a personal favorite of mine. The dance floor was packed, and the band was outstanding every step of the way. The band showed true professionalism and talent throughout the wedding planning process and during the wedding day. We would give a "10 star review" if possible!!

    Amazing band--could not recommend them more!

    Mainstreet Soul was absolutely electric at our recent wedding. The vocalists were terrific, the guitarist was shredding all night, and the horn line was excellent (and at times, on the dance floor with us!). They were so easy to work with throughout the process as well. One highlight for us was that the band leader, Jim, offered to arrange our first dance song so that the band could play it live. And it sounded amazing. Our venue was also challenging acoustically (it was a glass building)--but you wouldn't know it because Mainstreet Soul knew how to fill the space. They went above and beyond and I could not recommend them more. So many of our guests asked for their name.

    Mainstreet Soul is a MUST!!!

    Mainstreet Soul took our wedding to the next level! The energy and music they bring is more than what we could have ever imagined. Jim is so awesome to work with - he learned 5 new songs for us, one of which was a complete and total surprise! The dance floor was packed all night. They are not just incredibly talented musicians but they're performers. Their engagement with our crowd was top notch. I cannot recommend them enough.     Book Mainstreet Soul!

    Cannot recommend Mainstreet Soul enough for your wedding band! They brought the ENERGY from start to finish on our wedding day, and we never wanted the party to end! Jim was so communicative and responded to all our requests, and the full band with horns absolutely blew our guests away. We had the most fun on our wedding night! Book Mainstreet Soul!

Yes, we do learn new songs! We give our couples one new song choice for the band to learn for their wedding, which is usually their first dance song. If we already know their first dance song, they still get to request a song for the band to learn for their special and one-of-a-kind wedding.

Yes, we carry liability insurance. Please let us know if you or your venue requires a certificate of insurance at least 30 days out from your event.
We play the hits that everyone knows and loves, ranging from the classic Motown Hits all the way up to some of popular tunes of today.
Our fees are all inclusive, with the exception of hotel accommodations when the band requires rooms for events outside of Metro Detroit.
