About À La Court Calligraphy

À La Court Calligraphy

Owner & Calligrapher

À La Court Calligraphy is a wedding calligraphy studio specializing in hand-lettered signage, place cards and guest details, and personalized keepsakes for thoughtfully designed celebrations and destination weddings. Founded by Courtney, the studio serves the French Riviera and beyond, creating bespoke lettering designed to support the flow, beauty, and meaning of each event.

Every piece created by À La Court is lettered entirely by hand—never printed, digital, or mass-produced. This approach allows each detail to feel authentic, intentional, and truly one of a kind. As a calligraphy specialist, I focus solely on the lettering, working closely with couples, planners and creative teams to ensure each piece integrates seamlessly into the overall wedding design.

    Amazing calligraphy vendor!!

À La Court Calligraphy was a fantastic vendor for our wedding. Their communication throughout the process was quick, easy, and open, which put us at ease. The quality of their work and the value they provided were exceptional - they were hardworking, caring, and thoughtful in creating the custom signage we wanted. For example, they walked us through the steps of the process with detail and consideration for my style and needs, making the signs exactly how they had been envisioned. We still enjoy them every day since the wedding. I would highly recommend À La Court Calligraphy to any couple looking for beautiful, personalized event extras that will make their special day even more memorable!

    Beautiful work!

I highly recommend Courtney for all of your wedding day signage! She created a welcome sign and signs for the dessert table and memory table for my wedding. They turned out absolutely stunning and my husband and I received so many compliments! We still use the welcome sign for decor in our home. These handmade items made our wedding feel so personal, will definitely be reaching out to À La Court Calligraphy in the future!

Timing depends on the pieces you’re ordering and where they fall in your planning process. In general, I recommend reaching out 8–12 weeks before your wedding. - Envelope addressing: Book 8–12 weeks before invitations are mailed (2–4 weeks production once addresses are final). - Day-of details (welcome signs, seating charts, place/escort cards, menus, table signs): Typically finalized and produced 3–5 weeks before the event, once layouts and guest counts are confirmed. - Keepsakes: Usually completed within 2–4 weeks after details are approved. Not sure about timing? Reach out! I’m happy to help you determine what's right for you.
Inquiries begin through Zola or my website and are followed by a brief consultation to confirm scope, timing, and fit. From there, I gather inspiration, materials, and layout details to ensure the lettering integrates seamlessly into your overall wedding design. Once the direction is confirmed, I move into production. Because every piece is hand-lettered, the process prioritizes thoughtful preparation and clarity with one revision included in the timeline. Any additional revisions are discussed in advance to ensure timelines and expectations remain clear.
Delivery depends on location and logistics. - Local delivery: When possible, I offer local delivery for day-of pieces and details. - Shipping: For outside the local area, items are carefully packaged and shipped using protective materials to ensure they arrive safely. Details are always confirmed in advance so you know exactly what to expect.
Yes. Every piece is created by hand — nothing is printed or digitally replicated. This approach allows for subtle variations, texture, and character that make each piece feel personal and one of a kind. Materials are selected thoughtfully based on your event style, setting, and practical considerations like lighting and readability.
Starting prices vary by piece and complexity. As a general guide: - Smaller or table signs begin at $35 - Larger signs begin at $110 - Place cards begin at $3.50 per card - Envelope addressing begins at $5 per envelope - Keepsakes begin at $55 Final pricing is shared after an initial consultation, once details such as materials, quantities, and timing are confirmed. This allows each proposal to be thoughtfully tailored to the needs of your event.
