Based in Staten Island, New York, Cause and The Effects is an enthusiastic band comprised of young musical professionals ready to perform at your wedding. The band was founded in 2011 but the versatile members have been playing together and separately for more than two decades. You can choose between a seven-, eight-, or 10-piece band to perform at your reception, while smaller groups can perform during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Show-stopping music is performed with a variety of instruments such as horns, percussion, saxophones, flute, and piano. They are based in Staten Island but are willing to travel to destination weddings.

Your Party is exclusively our focus. We strive to please, from setting up early and making sure everything is perfect to work for the crowd. Classy, custom playlists, and premium everything. We have a large collection of DJ-only tracks to get people up dancing, with influences ranging from Classic Dance, Rock, Oldies, Freestyle, Soul, and House, from the 50s to the present.

I’m Austin Charnis, a classical, Spanish, and contemporary guitarist with more than 15 years of experience performing at weddings throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and beyond. I provide music for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions, with a repertoire spanning classical and Spanish guitar, Bossa Nova, jazz, and instrumental arrangements of contemporary music.
