If you’re hoping to do more than just shuffle from side to side on your wedding day, my lessons are exactly what you need! Most couples want to feel confident and look great dancing together, but they don’t want to be overwhelmed by complicated routines. With over 30 years of teaching experience, I’ll work with you at your level to help you achieve the perfect first dance!

A popular option are my "Wedding Dance Rescue" group lessons, offered throughout the Twin Cities. These affordable 2-hour sessions are perfect for couples who want to learn everything they need in just one class! Walk away with a video of the moves you learned so you can practice at home up until wedding day. For a more personalized experience, couples typically find that 1-2 private lessons give them the skills they need to reach their dance goals. You dance to your chosen song, learn at your pace, and incorporate moves that fit your style—no contracts to sign or packages to buy!

    Great experience!

    I would 100% recommend a dance lesson with Deanna for any couple gearing up for their wedding! We attended a group class and then a private lesson, and both experiences were fantastic. She’s an exceptional teacher!

    Deanna the best teacher we could have asked for! She worked with our chosen song to create and teach us a custom intro, outro and special moves! We will be back, couldn’t recommend more!

    Taking the Wedding Dance Rescue class with Deanna was a wonderful experience. My wife and I were nervous, but as soon as we started dancing, we felt very comfortable and ended up having a lot of fun. Deanna and Roger were great at giving us tips to polish the steps we were working on and we felt much more confident afterward. As a queer couple, we felt welcome and safe. I would definitely recommend this class!

    This was such a terrific class! We did Wedding Dance Rescue through Hopkins Community Ed. As a queer couple we're always nervous coming into spaces that we're not positive will be designed for us -- but our instructor made the class very comfortable and we felt very included, welcomed, and celebrated!
