Scout & Company was built for pet owners who never want to compromise on the quality of care their animals receive. Every service is fully personalized — from the initial consultation through the wedding day itself — with calm, attentive, one-on-one handling tailored to your dog's individual personality and needs. Fully insured, bonded, and background-checked, and based in the heart of one of the country's most celebrated wedding destinations.

Scout & Company takes a boutique, one-wedding-at-a-time approach. We never double-book, which means your dog receives our complete, undivided attention from the moment we arrive through the last moment of your celebration. We handle every detail, including transportation, vendor coordination, pre- or post-wedding boarding, and calm management throughout the day, so you never have to worry about your dog while you're celebrating. If something unexpected happens, we have protocols in place to ensure your pet feels safe and supported at every moment. Your wedding day should be everything you imagined. Every wedding is unique, so after a consultation, we'll build a custom proposal around your specific timeline, number of pets, and any additional needs. Scout & Company takes one wedding at a time, so your pet always has our full, undivided attention.

Description

Our Signature Package includes up to 5 hours of dedicated wedding day care for one dog — ideal for couples who want their dog involved throughout multiple moments of the day, including getting ready photos, first looks, portraits, and cocktail hour. Every wedding is unique, so after a consultation, we'll build a custom proposal around your timeline, number of pets, and any additional needs. Scout & Company takes one wedding at a time, so your pet always has our full, undivided attention.

Description

Our Full Wedding Experience includes up to 8 hours of dedicated wedding day care for one dog — designed for couples who want seamless support throughout the day, from getting ready through portraits, cocktail hour, and beyond. Every wedding is unique, so after a consultation we'll build a custom proposal around your timeline, number of pets, and any additional needs. Scout & Company takes one wedding at a time, so your pet always has our full, undivided attention.

    Someone I Truly Trust

    I’ve trusted Scout & Company with my dogs and home multiple times and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The care is always reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely attentive, and it’s obvious how much thought and care goes into everything. My dogs are always happy and comfortable, communication is excellent while I’m away, and I somehow always come home to find my house cleaner than when I left it. It makes being away from home so much less stressful knowing everything is being so well cared for.

    Vida at Scout and Company is amazing! I think my dog liked being with her more than she likes being home with me. I can see her counting the days until I take my text trip. Vida is knowledgeable about dogs, proactive with communication and updates. She accommodated an injury that my dog got right before my travel, giving meds twice a day and even communicating with the vet since I was out of the country. I can’t recommend Scout and Co. enough!

    I’ve trusted Scout & Company with both my dogs and my home multiple times, and I truly can’t say enough good things. The level of care, attention, and communication has always been exceptional. Vida genuinely loves and understands animals, and it shows in the way she cares for them. My dogs are always happy and very well taken care of, and somehow, my house is always cleaner than I left it when I get home. This ensures your dog receives our complete, undivided attention on your wedding day. Because of this, dates do fill up, and we recommend reaching out as soon as your wedding date is confirmed to ensure availability.
Yes. We have experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages — from small dogs to large breeds, puppies to seniors. Every dog is approached as an individual, and care is always tailored to their specific personality, energy level, and needs.
Yes. Many couples choose to add overnight or extended care around their wedding day, whether that means caring for your dog the evening before so you can enjoy your rehearsal dinner stress-free, or keeping them comfortable and cared for while you're celebrating into the night. Pre- and post-wedding care can be arranged as part of a customized package; just let us know what you need during your consultation.
Weddings are busy, high-energy environments, and it's completely normal for dogs to feel overstimulated at times. We have a protocol in place for exactly this. If your dog shows signs of stress or anxiety, we step away from the activity and move to a quieter space where they can decompress, calm down, and feel safe and supported before rejoining the celebration. Your dog's comfort and well-being always come first.
Every wedding is different, but a typical day begins with us connecting with your dog well before the ceremony, or in many cases, your dog is already in our care ahead of the event. From there, we coordinate around your timeline, supporting your dog through key moments like the ceremony and photos, managing transitions, and providing breaks, water, and quiet time as needed. We stay in close communication with your designated point of contact so everything runs smoothly. Our goal is for your dog to feel safe and supported from start to finish, so you can be fully present on your day.
Yes. We work alongside your venue and vendor team as needed to make sure your dog's presence is seamlessly integrated into the day. Whether that means confirming logistics with your planner, coordinating timing with your photographer, or communicating with venue staff about pet policies, we make sure everyone is on the same page so nothing falls through the cracks.
Yes. Scout & Company is fully insured and bonded, so you can feel confident that your pet is in professional, responsible hands on your wedding day.
Wedding pet attendant services start at $550 for up to 3 hours for one dog. Every wedding is different, so after our consultation, we'll put together a custom proposal based on your specific needs for the day. If everything looks good, we'll send over a contract and collect a 50% deposit to secure your date. The deposit is non-refundable.
Yes. We can arrange transportation for your dog to and from the venue as part of your wedding day package. This is something we discuss during your consultation and build into your custom proposal so everything is planned in advance.
We work with couples across all kinds of New Orleans wedding venues, from the French Quarter and the Garden District to City Park and beyond. We also travel to other parts of Louisiana for weddings outside the city. If you're planning a wedding in or around the area and want your dog included, we're happy to connect and discuss the logistics of your specific venue and timeline.
Yes. While Scout & Company is based in New Orleans, we're happy to discuss travel for weddings throughout the United States and internationally. This can include extended coverage for multi-day events or destination weddings. Travel arrangements and any associated fees are tailored to each event and discussed during your consultation.
