Couldn't have been happier!
I can't recommend Lina enough! She nailed my wedding glam for the day and I was blown away with the final look. I felt like the most beautiful version of myself on my wedding day. She did an excellent job enhancing my looks without making me look like a different person. On top of how much I loved my glam, Lina was a dream to work with, easy to communicate with and was so fun to have with us on my wedding morning. Myself and my bridal party all loved our looks!

Lina, joined by Nini (hair artist) and Bianca (hair and makeup artist), did hair and makeup for myself and my 6 bridesmaids on our wedding day. From the very beginning, Lina was fantastic to work with, answered all my questions, and accommodated my ask to add another artist with no stress! I knew from the trial that I had booked the right person - Lina listened carefully to what I wanted and made sure I was 100% happy with how my makeup looked. On both the trial and wedding day, my makeup was flawless and I was incredibly happy with how it turned out, as were all of my bridesmaids! Aside from her making us all feel beautiful, she also made us all feel so comfortable and at ease on the big day! Lina's team (Nini and Bianca) were also absolutely fabulous to work with and did such an amazing job making sure everyone's hair and makeup looked exactly how they wanted it. Everyone was thrilled with how the looks turned out and the entire experience was so fun and comfortable. If you're looking for amazing hair and makeup, look no further! Amazing to work with!
Makeup by Lina Slays was an absolute dream to work with for my wedding day! Lina was easy to reach, responded quickly, and was super detail oriented. Always making sure we were all on the same page about the looks we were going for. On the day of, Lina was so friendly and helpful she did hair and makeup for myself. And makeup for my two bridesmaids, and the mother of the bride, and we all looked absolutely stunning. The quality of Lina's work was amazing I felt that she enhanced my natural beauty, and my makeup lasted all day long. I cannot recommend Lina enough. Not only were her services affordable, but she truly helped me feel and look my best on my special day 3

Diverse bridal party? Lina is the best!
My bridal party and I are all women of color from different backgrounds (Afro-Caribbean, East Asian, Hispanic). We have different skin tones, facial features, and skin sensitives. When I first started looking for a makeup artist, my goal was to make everyone feel confident and comfortable. To me, this meant that they looked and felt like the best version of themselves. However, I could tell my bridal party was apprehensive. They didn't say it out loud, but the concern was one I had myself: was it possible that a makeup artist that would specialize in working with my features work with all of theirs? From the moment I first interacted with Lina, I knew she would bring my vision to life. She answered all of my questions over email in a timely and professional manner. She was one of the most responsive and friendly vendors I worked with throughout the process. She requested images of each of the bridesmaids and a list of skin concerns. We also discussed their usual makeup styles and how I wanted to incorporate those styles for the wedding. During the trial, conversation with Lina flowed naturally. I felt at ease and it was incredible watching the makeup look come together. My favorite part was watching her mix my perfect foundation color on the spot! She was very receptive to feedback, asking for my opinion often during the process and checking in after the trial as well. As we neared the wedding, Lina and I switched to text for our communications. She was my support when I decided to thread my eyebrows for the first time. She even used one of the images of the trial to create a diagram I could show my threader so that they didn't take too much. She would also send me inspiration based on our previous conversations. All my conversations with Lina made me feel like she was a partner with me during this process. It got me more excited for my wedding day glam. On the day of the wedding, Lina wowed all of my bridesmaids. After each one of them finished, I would catch them staring at themselves in the mirror. It was so heartwarming to see how confident they looked, taking their own photo shoots on the day. For me, people couldn't stop telling me how amazing my skin looked. People would just stare at me in such awe that I felt like a celebrity. I swear I couldn't take a bad photo and my makeup lasted all day and all night! I'm so grateful to Lina for this experience. If you're on the fence about reaching out, just go for it! She is a master of her craft and will have you and your loved ones shining on your special day!

I'm a happy bride
Lina did a beautiful job with my makeup and my bridesmaids. I explained to her what i was looking for and she made it happen! I'm not really a makeup user so i wanted to be sure i felt comfortable and lina totally made me feel that. My makeup made me not only feel beautiful but my bridesmaids looked stunning. As for application, it didn't feel caked on. She knew how to complement all the skin tones of my girls and i am pleased with the service. I spoke about my concerns with my skin and she made sure to use calming products for my skin. She really cares about her clients and I would recommend Lina. Thank you Lina!
