I could give you my spill about how I started shooting with a film Minolta in middle school and that it tugged my heart so deeply I never set the camera down. But I would rather share with you what I love. What I enjoy. What I'm about. I have a passionate soul. I get way too excited too easily. I smile at just about anything. I'm terrible with names. I'm a retired certified public accountant. I'm allergic to dogs. I own WAY too many shoes. I want a tattoo of a vintage camera. I love what I do so much it takes my breath away. This is me. The real me. Not the "fake, I hope I sold you" me. Now let's see if we can make this thing work.

I catch myself so many times wishing life away and I have to force myself to stop. Take it all in. To not lose site of the little things that make this life worth living. That's why I love photography. Because those little things that you never want to forget become a permanent memory. You know what happens when you look at a photograph? Your mind is immediately reminded of the moments that happened before and after that snapshot along with the emotions you were feeling. That one photograph preserves that moment forever.

From our first conversation with Amanda May Photos, we knew we had found the right fit for our wedding. Amanda was responsive to every question and genuinely invested in understanding our vision from start to finish. She made me feel beautiful in front of the camera and had such a calm, flexible approach even when my 2-year-old daughter got sick on the day of. Amanda went above and beyond to help us plan every detail, and the final photos are truly the best we could have asked for. Her work captures all those real moments that matter, and we're so grateful to have her behind the lens on our special day.

We truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Amanda! From the very beginning, she made us feel so comfortable and at ease, and by the time our wedding day arrived, it honestly felt like we had a friend there with us—not just our photographer. Amanda has such an incredible talent for capturing the moments that matter most. She captured so many beautiful little details and genuine moments throughout our day, including things we didn’t even realize were happening. Looking through our photos brings us right back to the emotions and happiness we felt that day, and we will treasure that forever. What makes Amanda even more special is that she is just an absolutely wonderful person. She is kind, thoughtful, fun, and truly cared about making our wedding day as special as possible. Stunning pictures
Amanda is a gem of a human and did incredible photos for both our engagement session and wedding. She made both me and my husband feel super comfortable and produced genuine joyful photos. I could not have picked a better photographer.
