We’re a small but mighty team based in Detroit, capturing real, unposed moments with a vibrant, natural touch.     Waltt was amazing and so professional when it came to taking my husband and I wedding photos! He showed up early to capture every detail. My family loved him as our photographer. He was so patient and kind & captured the most beautiful moments! I would recommend 100/10 for any event, but definitely weddings! Our wedding photos were giving Great Gatsby!

    Walter was punctual and on time and communicated very well. His pricing was very good as well. We received our photos in a relatively timely manor and we loved most of them. Arise and Shine is a great option if you’re on a budget and want good photos.

    Absolutely wonderful work from Walter at Arise and Shine photography! He guided us through the whole process. Starting from our fantastic session of engagement photos, he made us look better than we ever have in pictures! He was always kind and gave great directions to our whole wedding party which was kind of large at 18 total, plus husband and wife. We were completely comfortable for every pose and movement. After receiving our photos back we were stunned at how awesome they were! His editing work made us look stunning and gave us such great memories! I would recommend Arise and Shine Photography to anyone!

That really depends on the season, but the earlier the better! Most couples book with us 9-12 months in advance, so our schedule tends to fill up around then.
We typically start off with a phone call, and once we have some basic details (e.g. date, general location, overall vision), we'll send you a link to our booking portal! After you book, we spend the next several weeks/months helping you plan your dream wedding!
I require a 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract to book! We will have a call prior to booking and be able to go over any other questions you might have. The purpose of paying the retainer is that it permanently books your spot in my calendar and I set that day aside entirely for you.
The number of photos that you receive largely depends on how much happens during the day. If you have a large list of family formals, a large bridal party, longer time to take couples portraits, etc., the total number will go up. I would say I average around 50 - 100 delivered photos for every hour shot.
Turnaround time depends what time of year it is. In the thick of wedding season (late Summer-Fall) it can take anywhere from 2-16 weeks to receive your photos. I edit in the order that your wedding or photo session occurred.

Yes I do! I am currently located in Farmington, Michigan! Yes, absolutely I love traveling! I am always down to come capture your love wherever! I love shooting in new places with unique landscapes! Price of travel is determined by the location all travel fees are included in your price.
Nope! Giving out the raw files would be like ordering a steak at a restaurant and then just receiving the raw meat and spices to cook it yourself. It's a crucial aspect of my process and sets me apart from others. The raw files are captured with my unique style and vision. I promise I will do my best to make sure that you are obsessed and love your photos!!
Not usually! Unless you have a very large wedding (around 300 guests) and want a ton of photos of your guests, I am comfortable being the sole photographer. A large concern is usually when couple’s are getting ready at different locations and this can usually be solved by staggering your getting ready time or by adding an extra hour of coverage from me.
