I’m Rachel, and I’m a wedding photographer based in Massachusetts and willing to travel as far as your dreams will take you. I’m a sucker for the little details: the way he looks at you when you come down the aisle, the way you laughed at that little shimmy she did on the dance floor. It’s the little moments that make the sweetest memories, and I’m a feelings junkie, so I am THERE for them. I believe that laughter is good medicine, that love is love, and that memories are worth keeping. I’m also a licensed psychologist, and that means I know how to help you feel comfortable and at ease, and I’m great at soothing anxious couples.

All of our weddings are shot by a two-photographer team. We don’t up-charge to be everywhere you need us to be. Our most frequent feedback is that we’re really fun to be around, and we have a wonderful time with our couples while capturing beautiful, authentic moments and memories. We believe that love is love and we’re excited to celebrate your unique story.

    We loved the experience and our pictures!

    Rachel was our photographer for our September 2018 wedding. She was a pleasure to work with, very transparent, and made everyone in our wedding party feel comfortable. We got everything we asked for and the pictures came out great! Would recommend 110%!!

    Rachel took my senior photos and they couldn’t have turned out more perfect. I showed her inspiration photos and she recreated the exact vision I had in mind, while making every picture so natural. She knew the best poses to use and made me feel so comfortable and confident.     I can't recommend Rachel and her team enough! They did such an incredible job with my daughter's dance photos. From the moment we arrived, they were so kind, welcoming, and patient, making my daughter feel completely comfortable and confident in front of the camera. They truly made the entire experience feel so special. The photos we received are absolutely stunning. Each one is a beautiful work of art that perfectly captures my daughter's love and passion for dance. We'll treasure these images for years to come.     Rachel and her photography partner, Andy, are the easiest and most talented family photographers I’ve had the pleasure of working with. They are the kind of people who truly *get* the chaos of having young children and know exactly how to get good shots despite the feeling that nothing is going to look good. I highly recommend Rachel Smook Photography for family portraits but I know that if she is that good with little ones she is absolutely the person for any big life events.

Definitely. I cull out any that don’t meet our standards, and custom edit everything you see. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful, and additional edits are available as needed.
As far as your imagination can take us. We love travel and are happy to bring our high end services wherever you decide to host your special day. Our travel fees are reasonable and you can be confident of the service and the images you’ll be getting, wherever you go.
First and foremost, we believe that photographs are meant to be seen. We want them out in your house, in your hands, in your daily experience. Also, technology changes so fast, and we don’t want you to look around in ten years and realize you can’t open your images anymore. Printed photographs are why we know what our grandparents looked like as newlyweds. We want the same for your family!
