I would, however, like to clarify several details. During your engagement session, I experienced extended hospitalizations related to a high-risk pregnancy, which I communicated to my clients. Rather than significantly postpone your session, I arranged for a trusted team member to photograph you at your chosen location at no additional cost. Just before your wedding, serious medical circumstances involving my newborn required me to stay with my family. I understand that receiving this news 48 hours beforehand was stressful. It was an exceptionally difficult decision, and I arranged for one of my most experienced photographers, whose work and familiarity with my approach I trust, to document your day. I also want to clarify the description of your gallery. It includes approximately 80 couple portraits, another 76 photographs from your first look, and hundreds of images featuring you together during the reception and send-off. I understand that particular images you hoped for may be missing, but that is different from receiving very few photographs together. My work emphasizes documentary storytelling: authentic interactions and the day as it naturally unfolds. We consider inspiration photographs and requested moments, but cannot guarantee every specific image, as explained in our agreement and communications. When the wedding schedule runs behind, opportunities for some requested photographs become more limited. Regarding planning, I provided sample photography timelines and offered an additional call, which was not taken up. I am happy to advise on photography timing, though coordinating the overall wedding day is outside the scope of photography coverage. I also provided complimentary professional 35mm film photography, which was not included in your package, as a gesture of appreciation for your understanding. Your gallery arrived approximately two to three weeks beyond the anticipated delivery timeframe, and I sincerely regret that wait. Our agreement describes the 12-week turnaround as an estimate, but I understand the delay was frustrating. My newborn's ongoing medical needs affected my editing schedule, and I communicated those circumstances as they unfolded. When you raised your concerns, I reviewed them carefully alongside our correspondence, the completed gallery, and the services provided. I did not agree that a full refund was warranted for photography services performed and delivered, but I did consider your disappointment seriously. I remain proud of the photographs my team created and the care with which your wedding was documented. I recognize that the experience did not meet every expectation, and I'm sorry for that disappointment. My commitment to meaningful images and thoughtful care for my clients was no different for your wedding. I wish you both the very best.
