I live in Portland with my little family and I am thankful every day that I get to do something I love as a full time career. I got my BFA in photography from California College of the Arts in 2009, and started shooting weddings shorty after that. I believe there is so much magic in a photograph. It allows something to keep on existing, even after it’s gone. I strive to capture moments authentically but cleverly, using light, color and composition to make things compelling and beautiful. I try to be as candid as possible and use very minimal posing; taking a photojournalistic approach whenever I can.

I want your wedding to be everything that you want it to be, and I strive not only to be a great photographer for you, but also a friend and a calm source of joy and support on the big day. I try to approach my work with humility and without an ego or agenda. Your event is more important than my photography. I meet with all of my couples for a planning session that allows me to get to know you and gives me important insights into your style and preferences.

Best of the Best!!
Terra is an incredible photographer and has a natural talent of capturing the purest moments. We are so grateful that she was able to photograph our wedding day safely during these crazy times. The photos came out more beautiful than we could have imagined. Not only is Terra talented, but also she is a joy to work with. Terra has a fun-loving energy about her and will make you feel comfortable from the start.

White Pepper had the joy of collaborating with Terra Lange Photography on a Gorge Crest Vineyards wedding that was ultimately featured on the Wedding Chicks Blog. She was kind and efficient day-of. She knew how to stick to a timeline and also worked well on a team of vendors to execute a wedding that made our client's day the amazing event they had envisioned.

Terra was absolutely incredible to work with. My business partner and I are realtors, and she immediately understood the look and feel we needed for our professional photos. She had great suggestions on locations, guided us on how to pose, and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the shoot—bringing out our best. The lighting, composition, and editing were all spot on. We had used another photographer about a year ago, but the photos we got from Terra blew those out of the water. These are easily the best professional photos we’ve ever had. Highly recommend. Terra is truly the best of the best.
