I’m Moe, the photographer behind Weddings by Moe in Boston. I photograph weddings, elopements, surprise proposals, and engagement sessions for couples who want natural photos without feeling like they’re performing for the camera. My approach is relaxed and personal: gentle direction when you need it, space to enjoy the moment, and attention to the people who matter most. Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony in Cambridge or a full wedding celebration, you’ll work directly with me from your first message through your final gallery

Photographing surprise proposals has taught me to anticipate moments, adapt quickly, and capture real reactions without interrupting them. I bring that same attention to weddings: the nervous smiles, the proud parents, and the little exchanges you might miss. Before the day, I help you think through timing and photo locations. During portraits, I give clear, easy direction so you’re never left wondering what to do with your hands. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, stay present, and recognize yourselves in your photographs.

    Captured Us (and Our Dog!) So Naturally

    We had such a great experience working with Moe and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Boston wedding or engagement photographer. He did a couples photoshoot for us, and one of the things that really stood out was how natural and easy he made the entire session feel. He has a great ability to capture genuine emotion without the photos feeling overly posed or staged, which was really important to us. We also included our dog, Ted, in the shoot, and Moe was incredibly patient and skilled at getting his attention and capturing those moments perfectly. Anyone who has tried to photograph a puppy knows how impressive that is. The final photos were beautiful, authentic, and exactly what we were hoping for. If you’re looking for a photographer for engagement photos, a couples session, or a wedding in the Boston area, Moe is a fantastic choice.

    We love our engagement photos from Weddings by Moe!     Words can’t describe how perfect Moe was. We hired him to do our surprise proposal and it was so seamless and smooth I wouldn’t recommend anyone but him to be your photographer. He did a great job catching not only the proposal but even caught some of it on video. Afterwards we did a photo shoot and he was very experienced and professional picking the locations and the poses. We were very happy we chose Moe. Thank you Moe

Most couples book me 3 to 9 months in advance. Saturdays in spring and fall are the first to fill up in Boston, so if you have a specific date in mind, I recommend reaching out early. City hall weddings and weekday elopements can often be accommodated on shorter notice. Feel free to reach out with your date and I'll confirm availability right away.

My eight-hour Full Day wedding package includes an Essential engagement session valued at $699. It’s a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding. For The Elopement and The Intimate packages, you can add a 45-minute engagement session for $699.
Travel anywhere in Massachusetts is included in my wedding photography packages. If your celebration is outside Massachusetts, share the location when you inquire so I can confirm availability and any additional travel costs before you book.
Yes. City Hall Ceremony + Portraits is $849 for 60 minutes: your ceremony and relaxed portraits nearby afterward, with up to 50 edited images. I photograph at Boston, Cambridge, Quincy, Somerville, Brookline and Salem city and town halls. It's separate from my wedding packages, which begin with The Elopement at $2,649.
