Hey It's Amalia & Jenna! 🌈 A wife and wife duo who as real life partners bring that same level of trust, teamwork, and care into every wedding we’re part of. With backgrounds in hospitality, design, and event planning, we work side by side to create celebrations that feel organized, thoughtful, and beautifully put together! Our name comes from the butterfly effect the idea that small, intentional moments can turn into something truly special. We’re big believers that it’s the little details, thoughtful choices, and behind the scenes care that end up making the biggest difference on your wedding day, and that mindset guides everything we do!
What sets us apart is our unique partnership. As a married couple, we’re both on site for every wedding giving you two experienced coordinators for one flat rate with no added fees. That means more support, more attention to detail, and a smoother, calmer wedding day. For those who choose our planning packages, we’re hands on throughout the process from vendor recommendations, design guidance, timelines, logistics, and all the little details in between. We believe love is love and we’re proud to create inclusive, welcoming celebrations where everyone feels supported and celebrated.

Could not have done it without the Butterflies!
I genuinely don't know how we could have pulled off our wedding without The Butterfly Effect. Amalia and Jenna were, without a doubt, the most important part of making our wedding day what it was. We had our first meeting in late June. Because of a family illness, I wanted to get married in August, which meant asking them to plan an entire wedding in four weeks during peak wedding season. I was stressed about the timeline and about the fact that this wasn't how I'd envisioned getting married. Amalia and Jenna understood the sensitivity right away and told us they'd get it done. We wanted the night to feel untraditional and intimate: about us, our families, everyone together, without the typical wedding "fluff." We started without much of a vision, and they helped us build one from the ground up, always pushing us toward what we actually wanted rather than what was expected. The planning itself felt seamless, we met once or twice a week and stayed in constant touch over WhatsApp. They'd pull things up on Canva during calls and make edits live, so I could see what something would look like instead of imagining it from a description, and they never blinked at going through multiple versions of something to get it right. They also had an incredible eye for the details that made our wedding feel so personal: staying up late to perfect signage and menus, working our dog (and the six other dogs and cat in our families) into the napkin designs, bringing their own decor and supplies for everything from the card box to the matchbook bowls. They walked us through big venue decisions, like backyard wedding vs restaurant buyout, without ever steering us toward whatever was easier for them. And the vendor team they built around our day was a dream team; every vendor raved about working with them. On the day itself, every detail was perfect. They were always nearby when we needed them and completely invisible to our guests, like having two extra maids of honor who happened to know how to run a wedding. At the end of the night, exhausted, we didn't have to think about cleanup or getting our things home, they handled it. The entire day was the most warm, intimate, beautiful, happy, and genuinely "us" evening we could have imagined. So many people asked how we pulled off a wedding like this in four weeks. The answer is Amalia and Jenna. They are highly talented, organized, creative, thoughtful, responsive, and truly care about their clients. But more than anything, we just connected with them. They made us feel so secure throughout a process that could have been incredibly overwhelming, and they made the beginning of our marriage feel so positive and joyful. I am so, so grateful that we found them. I am going to miss them so much, I’d have another wedding just to work with them again. If you are considering The Butterfly Effect, hire them!!!

When you first came to us with a short timeline for your Hudson Valley wedding, we knew this wasn't the traditional, slow-burn planning process—but stepping in to build a full-service micro-wedding vision from scratch was so incredibly special. While a whirlwind timeline means making quick, intentional choices, we wouldn't have traded a single second of it. We truly could not have pulled off such an intimate celebration at Red Hat on the River without your total trust in us, so thank you. Every single detail—from sourcing local vendors and curating the waterfront patio layout, to designing stationary, and bringing Wally into the day—felt so deeply personal. Beyond all the logistics, floor plans, and late-night sessions, the absolute best part of this journey was connecting with you and Conor. We are going to miss our constant WhatsApp chats and weekly catch-ups so much, but please know this is far from the end of our friendship—we are in your corner forever! SO Thankful for The Butterfly Effect
We cannot thank and praise Jenna and Amalia enough for their impeccable work! This might sound more like a love letter than a review but everything we’re saying is the truth. These two women from the very start made us feel incredibly special, seen, and supported. Choosing to do an Al La Cart wedding with multiple DIYs was never going to be easy. But along every step of the way Jenna and Amalia offered their time, expertise and guidance to make the day of an absolutely dream. We began to look forward to our weekly calls (which always ran over time bc we needed us just chatting), with our 2 month pre wedding package. Every concern they addressed a solution and every dream they worked to make a reality. On top of all of this the week of our wedding the day was rain. These two worked with every. Single. One. Of our vendors to reimagine our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, which was meant to be outside. They spent countless hours week of and day of changing what could have been the worst possible situation into a breeze of which we never felt a single worry. We cannot recommend The Butterfly Effect more. They are true to their name in that everything they touch ripples into precious moments that last a lifetime. From our very first consult, we remember hanging up and saying to each other, "We have to work with them." There was just something about you both that felt so easy. That feeling never changed. Every call after that felt less like wedding planning and more like catching up with friends, and those moments became something we genuinely looked forward to every week. Your wedding was so you, full of love, intention, and all the little details that made it uniquely yours. We knew how much those details meant, so when the rain came, all we wanted was for you to keep feeling the joy of the day while we figured everything else out. Watching you laugh, hold each other, and soak in every moment without carrying that weight... that's something we'll never forget. It reminded us exactly why we love what we do. Reading your words reminds us why we do this. Thank you for letting us be part of one of the biggest moments of your lives, it means more than we can say. What's even more special is the friendship we've gained through this journey. We adore you both more than you know, and we are endlessly grateful that our paths crossed. The dream team!
Where to even begin…Jenna and Amalia were angels, miracle makers, warmth and light keeping us calm throughout the planning process and especially on wedding day. They did 3 month coordination for our Long Island backyard wedding, and they were truly amazing from start to finish. As a queer couple ourselves, it was important to us to have queer vendors that would protect, honor, and celebrate our love and our nontraditional choices as we planned our day. Jenna and Amalia did exactly that. We had some hiccups along the way, including a vendor bringing me to tears a week before the wedding. They stepped in immediately, had our backs, and handled the situation with the utmost grace and care. We felt protected and secure knowing they were in our corner. Then, when we needed to add last minute tents two days before the wedding, they reached out to vendors on our behalf and got us quotes within a few hours. We had the new tents installed within 24 hours, making sure that everyone could stay dry but that we could still have the day we wanted. Now, for wedding day itself. It was POURING rain on our wedding day. Parts of the backyard were flooding because of this, and I don’t even know how, but Jenna and Amalia made it all ok. They devised creative solutions to make sure our guests got around the backyard safely that we would have never thought of. They led the vendor team impeccably and kindly, making sure everyone had what they needed. After the wedding, I learned that they had put out so many little fires along the way that I had no idea about on wedding day. It was the best day of our lives, and Jenna and Amalia made it possible. Jenna bustled my dress with safety pins on the dance floor. Amalia was waiting for us after the ceremony with drinks in hand. Every single member of my family has brought up Jenna and Amalia’s grace, professionalism, skill, kindness, and care when reflecting on wedding day. We’ve told them already that they are on the hook for all future family weddings! We are endlessly grateful. We recommend The Butterfly Effect Weddings so so highly. They are both simply the best at their jobs as well as incredible humans too.

Calm, Care, & Magic
This is a belated, but well-deserved review for Jenna and Amalia at The Butterfly Effect. We used their services as Day-of Coordinators at XIX in November, and while the venue provided its own coordinator, our wedding—and the entire planning process—would not have been the same without them. These ladies are kind, organized, and provided invaluable support. In the months leading up to the wedding, they helped keep me on track and made the planning feel far less overwhelming. They were especially helpful acting as liaisons between us and the venue/venue coordinator. Several things we were initially told “no” about were ultimately facilitated thanks to Amalia and Jenna. Their willingness to advocate for us and find solutions made such a difference. Their support always felt unlimited. I especially loved our Zoom sessions where we could talk through details, brainstorm ideas, and work through any questions. Their experience helped provide perspective when we were planning. On the day of the wedding, they arrived early and immediately got to work ensuring everyone was set up and had what they needed. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and the way they handled anything that came up throughout the day. If I could change anything, it would only be that I wish we had asked them to stay a little longer into the evening—but the few late-night hiccups we experienced were unexpected and ultimately venue-related. The moment I appreciated them most was right before it was time for me to walk down the aisle. Not only did their mini-fan absolutely save me, but their calm presence and kind words made such a difference in that emotional moment. Anyone would be lucky to have The Butterfly Effect bring a touch of magic to their wedding day.

We cannot recommend The Butterfly Effect Weddings enough. Amalia and Jenna were incredible throughout the entire planning process, but they really shined on the day of our wedding. They stayed calm, kept everything organized, and anticipated issues before we even had a chance to stress about them. That made it possible for us to actually enjoy the day without stress. One moment that really stands out is our ceremony. We were unsure how it should play out, but they stepped in with confidence and made everything run smoothly. It was such a relief to have them guiding us through it. As a queer couple, it was especially meaningful to work with coordinators who are a queer couple themselves and truly understand the unique challenges that come with planning a queer wedding. For example, it felt very reassuring to be able to make untraditional choices that felt right for us without worrying about judgment or misunderstanding. Representation matters, and they made us feel seen and supported the entire time. We would absolutely recommend Amalia and Jenna to other LGBTQ couples, and to anyone looking for coordinators who are truly professional and reliable.
