Hi, I’m Layla — founder of The Day-of, LLC. My love for this work started behind the scenes at private venues and country clubs, where I learned how events are built from the ground up — the vendor relationships, the floor plans, the timelines, the hundred small decisions that determine whether a wedding day runs smoothly or doesn’t. That experience eventually led me to the coordinator’s side, where I could bring that same operational foundation directly to couples. Having worked as both a venue-side events director and an independent coordinator, I understand what venues expect, how vendors operate, and where things fall apart.

I bring to your day a planner’s eye for the guest moments that matter, an operator’s instinct for what can quietly go sideways, and the discipline to have a plan for both. Most coordinators come from one side or the other—I work both, every week. That means I’m not just running your timeline; I’m reading the room, anticipating the hiccup before it lands, and protecting the moments you’ll actually remember.

Description

Wedding Management for couples who’ve planned the details and need a professional to take over the execution. Starting 60 days out, we manage vendor communication, logistics, master timeline development, rehearsal coordination, and wedding-day execution. Packages include 8, 10, or 12 hours of onsite management. Intimate and City Hall options are also available. 8–12 hour packages: $2,600–$3,200. Intimate Day-of Management starts at $1,500.

30-day limited-scope Wedding Management for couples who have planned their wedding and have established vendors in place. I take over final vendor coordination, logistics, timeline development, and wedding-day execution—including vendor arrivals, ceremony/reception flow, guest coordination, setup oversight, and problem-solving. Additional planning, missing vendors, extensive setup/breakdown, or transportation may require a custom quote.

Ideal for intimate, standalone City Hall ceremonies. Includes up to 2 hours of onsite coordination, guest flow support, and vendor timeline management.

    Calm and Ready in the Storm

    Layla was exactly what we were looking for as a couple that handled most of the planning ourselves. She helped us frame up our timeline and asked all the important questions we never would have thought of well ahead of time and gave fun suggestions/alternatives for our not-very-traditional wedding. Layla did a great job coordinating our vendors and making sure everyone knew what they had to do when. I felt so reassured by her calm presence guiding us throughout the day. I would recommend her to any couple looking for a solid coordinator!

    Layla was a pleasure to work with! I appreciated her thoroughness from start to finish and even before the wedding during the planning stages. Always available to answer any questions. The timeline she wrote up was one of the most detailed and complete that I’ve seen in awhile which is a testament to her professionalism and overall approach to the wedding process.     We cannot say enough about how amazing Layla is!!! She handled everything and was so responsive despite us living across the country while planning. Our services start 60 days before your wedding date. We begin by meeting with you to review your wedding and what has been planned. We then help tie it all together before creating your vendor-facing timeline for distribution and review.
We take on a limited number of weddings to ensure attention is given to your event. The exact number taken on will depend on the type of wedding and pre-coordination required.
A non-refundable 50% retainer of the total balance is due at the time of booking. For events booked within 30 days of the event date, a 65% retainer will be required to secure the date. The remaining balance is due one month before your event. Payment details and due dates are outlined in your contract.
When reviewing your wedding request, we consider your guest count, setup, and coordination needs. If we feel that an additional staff member is required, we will review this during our consultation to determine the best fit.
To ensure we can effectively manage your day, the following services, information, and responsibilities are required where applicable: Timelines At The Day-of, we build and manage the master vendor timeline from your provided event schedule. We do not execute from a client-created timeline. DJ/MC A professional DJ/MC is required for weddings with music, announcements, introductions, or a reception program. Catering Your caterer must provide appropriate food service and table bussing/clearing services. Bar/Bartending Service If alcohol is served, a professional bartending service or qualified bar staff is required.
